Capella New York Cheesecake
submitted about 7 years ago by TheKookDen

New to the group. I apologize if I’m breaking any rules. I hate cheesecake. So I never was tempted to make a cheesecake juice. Anyways, I was browsing through recipes and I noticed a lot of people were using cheesecake as a thickener. As a person who hates cheesecake, but likes a nice thick vape, would .5 to 2% Capella New York Cheesecake be advisable? Sorry if I don’t have the right vocabulary down. New to the group and a self-taught DIYer. Thanks for any advice.

Welcome TheKookDen! Mate, what you want is 1-2% of TFA Marshmallow. TFA Marshmallow adds t h i c c .

Edit: Someone downvoted your post to '0', which is not very nice is it? So have my ^upvote^ for posing a very reasonable question.

Does NY Cheesecake actually tastes like actual cheesecake at all? I taste it like buttery cream with a lot of fat on it.

It tastes like a certain type of cheesecake. Yes it is quite buttery/fatty. A lot of people boost the biscuit base with another biscuit/crust.

To me it tastes like a cheesecake bought in a supermarket/grocery store, whereas I prefer cheesecake flavorings that taste more like you buy in a bakery (slightly sour and more cheesy) like LA Cheesecake. That's just my opinion. Of course cheesecakes are different in different countries.

I love real NY style cheesecake and this CAP flavouring doesn't taste like cheesecake to me. I still use it because I haven't tried any other flavouring. It tastes more like greek yogurt to me (kinda sour).

You mean a thicker mouth feel? No not really. Marshmallow is probably what you need, or a custard.

Nó. No custards are free of the off-tastes like egg or vanilla unless they have a stronger flavor to cover them, like VT chocolate custard or some other similar ones. And some marshmallows might work, but really CAP cheesecake is not the worst choice. Maybe MTS Wizard is the best choice, tho...

What about that new fa custard premium? I mixed that up and felt like it only added thickness and no flavour.

I try to minimize my FA purchases (due to FANA) so... Haven't tried that one. Also, custards aren't really a priority flavor for me. If that one really is free of those vanilla and egg off notes, great.

This makes no sense.

IRL, cheesecake is a food group. A totally irresistable treat that is a staple of any good life.

I totally understand not vaping cheesecake, because it's weird to inhale something solid, but not liking cheesecake IRL? What, have you only been exposed to those horrible abominations of cheesecakes that they defile by putting strawberries on them, instead of cherry?

You, of all people, cannot understand why someone doesn't like something? Thanks for my first smile of the day ;)

He doesn't like something that is obviously good, based on the simple fact that if I like it it is objectively good. Just like anything I don't like is obviously bad. Duh.

I understand your sentiment. What can I say? There’s always the one guy.

Wait. I have it. You've only ever eaten German Cheesecake, which is to real New York Cheesecake what a twinkie is to a German Chocolate cake (that being a vastly inferior, and in fact inedible, twisted take on the idea).

That would explain it.

Any flavour won't make it thicker they are all pg... the vg content determines the viscosity... higher the vg the thicker it will be... flavours are pg because the flavour mixes better with it...

Thanks, But I meant a thicker/full flavour. I heard marshmallow was the answer.

Don't forget lashings of vanilla in the cream cheese

A good cheese cake uses a liqueur, such as Baileys or Ameretto, rather than something like vanilla.... hmm... maybe he just hasn't had a good cheesecake yet. Food for thought.

>Ameretto

Now we're talking. I agree with you there, especially with the cherries on top too.

Is that an American (continent) thing? I've never had a cheesecake with any kind of alcohol in it.

Hi! Welcome! (I'm newbie too) Well, I can consider myself a cheesecake hater too, but, you know, the real cheesecake as a food, but it's weird because in vape world I'm a ChKc lover, so, this is one of thousand good things come from vaping, so, my humble opinion would be: try to add more % and maybe...try with other brand of ChKc (<<faster abbreviation) I'm sure you'll be surprised.

you omitted a grand total of 12 letters then typed (<<faster abbreviation), I dunno how much faster that is man!

Welcome though, i rarely post but this place is a wealth of knowledge for sure.
