Weekly 'What are you vaping?' Thread - Week of August 27, 2018
submitted about 7 years ago by c5b4c91772c729fc7d0a

This thread is for you to share what you are vaping lately, be it your own or another mixers recipe. Maybe you happened to stumble upon your new ADV in the August Recipe Thread? Or did someone recommend your first mix to you in the Suggest a recipe for my flavors Thread?

Share what you liked or didn't like too much, but most importantly, please make sure to properly link to the recipe and to the mixer if they're on reddit.

If you need some inspiration, some websites keep track of your mixes and batches: e-Liquid Recipes and All The Flavors.

Also make sure to checkout last week's thread for inspiration or to follow up on a mix that turned out even better after a week of steeping!

Happy Vaping!

Route 66

  • HS Highway- 4.5%
  • HS Red USA Mix- 3%
  • INW DNB- 1.5%

Been going at that a couple of days, and like it. It’s nothing ground breaking or anything, but it doesn’t wear me down like some heavier tobaccos tend to.

Earlier in the week I was testing out an apple and spice fall recipe. INW Two Apples was making it a little waxy, so I added .25% CAP Super Sweet. I do not like CAP Super Sweet. I think I’ll take it back to the mixing station and see what FA Liquid Amber does to it. I think that should do me good.

Other than that I’ve been getting pretty buck wild on NETs. Right now I am enjoying some Mac Baren HH Old Dark Fired in my Berserker Mini. I’m working on a “clone” of it with some artificial tobacco flavors, but we will see how that goes.

Solani Aged Burley Flake was finally back in stock, so I scooped up another tin of that. My first extraction of it I probably gave away more than I used just because I was so excited about how good it was. About to get stingy with this new tin though. Didn’t realize how hard it would be to find it in stock. It seems like since I’ve gone through just about every artificial tobacco flavor I could easily get my hands on, I’m probably going to be diving a little deeper in to NETs. Ordered a Siren 2 for the adventure. Should be fun.

Any chance you're going to end up uploading some of those NET recipes?

by ChemicalBurnVictimabout 7 years agoresident tobacco expert

It’s mostly just either single extractions I’ve done or maybe combining a couple of them. The good thing about NETs that make them a bit easier is you can just extract an English blend and vape it all by itself instead of adding a bunch of different concentrates together to build something that tastes like an English blend.

Where could I go to learn about / how to make my own extractions?

Keeping it basic this week. I ran out of already-made juice and threw together some FA Forest Fruit and Rick's Sugar Daddy and the shit is crazy good.

4% Forest Fruit (FA)
1% Sugar Daddy (TBV)

Forest Fruit is my desert island vape, it's soooo good it must be witchcraft!

I call it blue creamellow.

FW Blueberry 3% TFA Blueberry Extra 4% FW Bavarian Cream 3% TFA Marshmallow 2%

This last batch I threw in a little bit of CAP Vanilla Custard.

Also Blue Jelly Candy FW Blueberry 6% CAP Jelly Candy 2% TPA Marshmallow 1.5%

Also Bust A Nut by Alisa

And what's making me thru since I'm sick and have a bad nose and taste is

CAP Vanilla Custard 5% CAP French Vanilla 4% CAP Super Sweet 1% Made three weeks ago.

Recently picked up the blueberry trinity and haven't mixed up a blueberry cream! I'm definitely mixing this up tonight.

Wouldn't hurt to bump up the FW Blueberry. The blueberry can get drown out in the cream.

Testing candidates for my "Bloomin' Tangerine". Still enjoying some Apple Blossom. And also still enjoying the Tobacco RY411.

I've been lazy as hell and this summer has been hot as balls. For the past several weeks now I just make 1 15ml bottle of random(ish) fruits with some sweetener and WS-23 and call it a day. It's nice to never steep and always have something vapable. It never turns out bad and sometimes it's really excellent. I will link some of the good ones.

https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/share/a558f7ac-e9f3-4a2c-bef2-b397a4a6ceff Derived from /u/EdibleMalfunction. I really enjoy this one a lot and it's so damn simple.

https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/share/5bceabdc-2ad9-40b9-a2ad-3e38039d056f Derived from /u/id10-t. This one needs work. The berries need to be toned down as it drowned out the delicious pineapple.

Mango Orange Pineapple Updated this one. Completed swapped out Golden Pineapple for INW's and added 2% Cap Sweet Mango. I likey.

Mango Colada And of course none of the above is as good as this one. I do not add the rum, however.

If you decide to mix any of these, I hope you enjoy. Yeah, I repeatedly use the same flavors.

6% INW Raspberry?!

That Black Boy's Colada looks like a lot of fun but yeah, 2% INW Pineapple isn't much when pitted against those burley berries. You might want to increase that as well as toning down the berries.

> Mango Colada And of course none of the above is as good as this one.

:)

> I do not add the rum, however.

:( .... because I'm working on a new version of this... with more rum. Glad you like the original (sans rum) so much though. The new one will not be for you, I'm afraid.

by omgcomeonidiotabout 7 years ago

Have you had a bad experience with INW Raspberry that high? I just did a 1:1 swap with EdibleMalfunction's because I don't like Raspberry Sweet and I thought it was awesome. I did a side by side comparison and the mix with INW was much better for me.

Yes the pineapple needs to be turned up. It's delicious so I have no problem with that :)

I actually don't have the rum and didn't plan on getting it because I'm not really a booze guy, but maybe I'm missing out.

Some people say even 1% INW Raspberry is too sharp and floral. I don't agree but it packs a wallop that low so it's never occured to me to take it up to anything close to 6%. You might be Frankensteining it. Or we might not be talking about the same INW Raspberry; there are several, apparently, with slightly different names.

Thank goodness I finished off all of my final version of Spicy Icy Chamoyada Mangonada and am able to move on because I was briefly hooked on that stuff.

Two dozen different cookie and biscuit flavors, for science. AMA about cookies and biscuits.

Some new salt nic pod things I'm working on but haven't finished yet. Some flavors that aren't great when sub-ohm'd work surprisingly well this way, though. 8% CAP Sweet Mango, for example. No luck with bakeries yet though.

Edit: an F

8% CAP Sweet Mango in a pod is awesome. That’s one of the first things I mixed up for my low wattage MTL devices.

by ID10-Tabout 7 years agoWinner of the 2nd DIYorDIE World Mixing Championship

Put another fruit on top of it. And a touch of sweetener and maybe a little cooling and you’re good to go. It’s neato.

8% CAP Sweet Mango in any subohm setup would probably make me puke my guts up. Even tank with prebuilt coils that gets shitty flavor like a TFVW18 Starlord or whatever. But this lil pod doohickey needs that much flavor and it’s actually pretty dang pleasant.

by omgcomeonidiotabout 7 years ago

What pod device are you using? I have the Suorin Air and Vagon and I hate them both. Air tastes good, Vagon tastes like nothing, and neither of them will feed worth a fuck. Even at 50/50. Vagon manual says don't go lower than 70/30. What a load of bullshit.

I had the Sourin Air and quit using it because half the pods I bought were duds that burned up before needing their first refill. Same juice, another pod lasted 5 or more refills. Definitely a QC issue.

The Smok Rolo Badge I haven’t had any of that sort of problems with. But it leaks a tiny bit and although I dry off the little leak with qtip every time I refill it, I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before the device itself breaks from that. I’m in the market for something with consistent pods that wick well and no leaks or other issues.

I also have the original Icare, Juul, and Boulder Rock. It seems all of them suck for veteran vapers who are going to puff aggressively. Size is a problem but I've resorted to Siren 2 + Istick Pico for my MTL needs.

I have original Breeze....really solid little device too. I’ve dropped it a million times and it hasn’t broke the glass inside. The breeze 2 is better I think they took out the glass maybe some broke but mine doesn’t.. maybe not being tall helps idk 🤔😂...;)

u/mlNikon’s amazing Vanilla Cronut recipe. It’s an awesome, buttery croissant/donut filled with vanilla cream. This one is definitely staying in my rotation. 10/10

I've been playing with the 1-2-3 concept and decided to try flavors I never really use much. I make one 10ml tester and rip it per day. I have a lime Tahity that I havent used much. I love it but I cant figure out if I got the cold pressed or distilled. It tastes like limeade to me so I tried it at 1-3% and I like it at 3%. Gonna slowly crank it up until it hurts I think.

Mango-Lime - (gonna get flv heat and try to recreate those street mango bags I'd buy back in Oakland)

  1. FA Pear
  2. FLV Mango
  3. Lime Tahity

Pom-Lime

  1. FA Pear
  2. TFA Pomegranate Deluxe
  3. Lime Tahity

I unabashedly enjoy TFA RY4x2 and I've been enjoying RY Dark.

playing with the apple cinnamon profile and have two variations, one simple and one complex trying to watch how they diverge and deliver.

and lastly, u/ID10-T, I added 1% of each INW Gold for Pipe, Gold Ducat, and 555 Gold to Mango Blossom Macaron. I think I fixed it :)

Well, with the way you had it, where was the smokiness? I couldn’t bring myself to put any dnb in it so I do have some boundaries.

Lime tahity is cold pressed. Distilled is more lime zest.

I don’t get the freaking naming schemes sometimes but I went back and found my first order invoice. It doesn’t distinguish it as either on the invoice. On the website invoice. So idk. But your guess is cp?

Based on your description of the taste, yes.

Oooh cinnamon cookie custard and it’s pretty good! And that’s out of a pod so imagine how good it really is 😩😂....;). I’m sure no one wants my non formatting knowing how ass to murder the recipe and can’t remember who I borrowed it from, someone here or atf no doubt but after a little more than 2 weeks I LIKE it! Should only get better. The cinnamon is just right, calls for cap sugar cookie 2, I don’t have and not surprised, it’s still very good! Also, raspberry lemonade, creamy caramel and close to heaven oh and blackberry elk! Yumm

r/id10_T's simple sugar cookie is a banger. Shit tastes exactly like a cookie and it's making my coffee taste like it too. 10/10 GG id10t

Thanks, Ben. It's still one of my favorite things to vape in public because the room note has people like "Where are the cookies?!" and "Mmmmm you smell like sugar cookies."

BILLY CLUBS

Blue Raz (VG) (Real Flavors) 3.00

Blueberry Extra (TPA) 2.00

Pixie Stick Candy (Wonder Flavours SC)1.80

Raspberry (Sweet) (TPA) 2.00

Super Sweet (CAP) 0.30

I really like this one. Tastes like a blue raspberry pixie stick, but not over powering like TFA Sweet and tart.

Hadn’t thought of that. Makes total sense though. This is going to bother me
