submitted about 7 years ago by c5b4c91772c729fc7d0a

This thread is for you to share what you are vaping lately, be it your own or another mixers recipe. Maybe you happened to stumble upon your new ADV in the July Recipe Thread? Or did someone recommend your first mix to you in the Suggest a recipe for my flavors Thread?

Share what you liked or didn't like too much, but most importantly, please make sure to properly link to the recipe and to the mixer if they're on reddit.

If you need some inspiration, some websites keep track of your mixes and batches: e-Liquid Recipes and All The Flavors.

Also make sure to checkout last week's thread for inspiration or to follow up on a mix that turned out even better after a week of steeping!

Happy Vaping!

Trying a new TFA flavor

7% Piña Colada (TFA)

2% Dragonfruit (TFA)

2% Pear (FA)

Shake and vape seems legit. Going to track it's progress over a few weeks.

Edit: +2% TFA Pineapple made a world of difference

Post an update, if you wouldn’t mind!

It's aging well. Made 120 ml.

If I had some alternative flavor for coco or pineapple I would experiment more.

% seems good though

Just got TFA pineapple in. Added 2% and it really elevated the juice. Man it's smooth!

Bought in the spring. Hadn't mixed much until this recent batch. It's pretty good. Feels like it needs more fruitiness lol

Still vaping on Vanilla Wafer Banana Pudding Which is very tasty. And, I found this other recipe in an old panet of vapes recipe mega thread, mixer unknown, I altered it by using INW Waflle instead of Belgian Waffle.

4% CAP CDS

4% TFA Vanilla Swirl

1 drop of INW Waffle.

This one i'm really liking. a very mild Vanilla Cinnamon on the inhale, and a slightly burned waffle on the exhale.

Finished up the 30 ml of /u/amouthforwar’s Tütün and just need to organize my thoughts on it to give it a review. I kind of kept going back and forth on whether or not it had enough spice to it. Either way, if you like Gold Ducat, it’s worth a go.

Currently vaping some Unfiltered because I’ve had some mixed up for a while and needed something quick to grab on my way to work. It’s a bit too rich for an all day every day thing for me. But that was also kind of the point of it.

Threw together some quick bullshit for a couple people at work to try out. Connecticut Brigade for a guy that said he liked coffee flavors in his tobaccos. Easy enough, I figured. Throw a little Connecticut Shade in my Brigade 2506. He seems to really like it. There’s a vape shop in Indiana that makes a juice called Pegasus Milk which is sold in the tobacco shops around here. From what I gathered, it is basically a cinnamon milk thing. So I made this for someone and she said everyone that tried it thought it was the best thing ever. But they’ve probably mostly had shitty shop juice, so I’m trying to not let that go to my head. I’m not huge on cinnamon flavors, but I thought it was pretty decent. Also did some winging it for a Blueberry Lemonade but I’m not too sure that one is very good. I don’t really like lemonade, so I probably can’t really be a good judge on that.

Tested a few more Euro Flavor tobaccos, and noticed a theme of cedar in a few of them. Decided to use one to make a tobacco forward cedar RY4, which is shaping up to be pretty nice. Might tweak a few things and send it off to Mixers Club.

I’m on vacation next week so I’m hoping to buckle down and get that damn Virginia Battle of the Baccos finished. I just kept making flavor orders and finding other Virginias that aren’t that great, but deserve a spot in the Battle.

Excited to hear your thoughts, been waiting on a review before i go revise it. Had a nice tongue tingle for me but i've been doubting the quality of the nicotine i used lately so maybe that may be the culprit and the mix could use some more of the orientals or a turkish. I didn't have inw turkish at the time to try but might do so now!

Oh man, I just mixed up another 60 of brigade to take with me on vacation next week. And also because I never got to write my review of it and want to say more than: "mix this, it's awesome" I may have to make another 60 with the connecticut shade.

Speaking of which, I've been messing with CT Shade trying to get it to be the star of the show and it just gets so unruly at anything over 1%. Right now, I have some weird monster with CT @ 1%, Am4a @ 2%, FLV Red Burley @ 0.5%, FLV Sweet Coconut @ 1.75%, FA Coconut @ 0.75%, and Van Shisha @ 0.5%. I was looking for a sweet tobacco vape slightly reminiscent of a cheap dipped cigar but, well, classier. Ummm yeah. It's vapable but weird. I thought the Burley would fill it out some, the Am4a would help sweeten it up some, CT would magically bind its coffe/chocolate notes with the coconut, and that elves were real. wtf do I know?

At 14 days now, The Am4a lends a strange bright yet light citrusy note. The coconut has faded to near kaput for me. And the Burley wasn't strong enough to defend itself against the indignity of its place in this mix. It's vapable almost in the same way as the elephant man is lookable, like you can see the train coming and are frozen on the tracks. Not quite a tobacco and not quite a dessert. Right now, I'm thinking to keep the coconut, up the CT by 0.5, and use ony one and a better filler tobacco that is more neutral/less 'fruity'/non-aromatic to me, and drop the vanilla completely. Any advice (including run away fast) is appreciated.

Hmm that sounds like a tricky one, but if executed well it would be really good. I’ve been struggling for a couple years with an almost similar profile, but mine is coconut, bourbon, Burley. I personally won’t take Connecticut above .5%. It dominates pretty much everything for me at that point. I think you’ll want something bright and crisp for that other tobacco, and my first thought would be a Virginia. The problem there would be that I don’t think very many of them would have what it takes to stand up to the Connecticut. There’s one that does come to mind, but it’s an overseas order away from an Inawera distributor (it’s INW Sunset Virginia, if you are curious. INW Tobacco Cocktail also comes to mind, but is also an overseas order type of flavor.) I’ll get home and stare at my stash and see if anything jumps out at me. Right now the only other one that is coming to mind that might be up for the task is SC Flue Cured.

For the first time in about 1.5 years, I bought some e-liquid. The thing is, the friend who got me into vaping gets some "imported" e-liquids to sell. There were a few of them that get raving reviews by his customers. So, he notified his customer base he wasn't going to be able to keep importing some flavors from the lines he sells... and well, I thought this was my last chance. So, I bought a couple of flavors that seemed to be well liked, KitKet Original and KitKet Strawberry white Chocolate. Got my order on Monday, and tested them. I shouldn't have done that..... I SHOULD NOT have done that!

I'm sure those abominations are about 10% flavoring, 10% pure TFA Sweetener. I get a sucralose-y lips and tongue and throat and lungs. The Strawberry white chocolate one is 0 nic, so I cannot even blame bad/oxidized nic for feeling slightly nauseated when I tried to vape that. The Original flavor is less nasty. But no matter what I tried, they're unpleasant to vape. I tried three different RDA atomizers, a 23 mm Troll, a Derringer, a Hadaly, all with fresh wicks. Maybe the strawberry one was not so gross on the Hadaly, but there was nothing I could rescue to make of this a pleasant experience. I am a strawberry taster, I barely get any strawberries. The Original one has a slightly better wafer/chocolate flavor, but nothing exceptional.

/rant over

Why am I sharing this?

Well, I guess I have two purposes. 1. So all of you are warned. Our palates get more sophisticated after DIY, and even if those profiles are not bad ideas, those executions were... terrible. 2. Speaking of ideas, when I learned someone had done a white chocolate strawberry covered wafer flavored e-liquid, I got myself busy and I went to try and make a recipe with that profile. I got some pointers from Green Tea Kit Kat by /u/ exclusivegirl. Here is my current iteration:

  • FW White Chocolate 2.5%
  • CAP Sugar Cookie 1.5%
  • CAP Vanilla Whipped Cream 3.0%
  • TFA Strawberry Ripe 2.0%
  • CAP Sweet Strawberry 6.0%
  • CAP Butter Cream 2.0%

This is not the final version. I still need to work on bringing the wafer/cookie part forward. But the Strawberry/White Chocolate/Creamy part feels good already. Maybe adding a little INW Biscuit? or replacing it? Haven't decided yet. I'm waiting for my order of TFA White Chocolate to give it another try. Then we'll see. Cheers!

You could also try bringing the wafer part forward by using a little less of everything else.

by amouthforwarabout 7 years ago

I'd also like to add I think FA cookie is crucial for a good wafer mix. It just seems to have a good dry crunch to it that something like CAP Sugar Cookie or even INW Biscuit don't (INW is a bit dense IMO and sometimes I get a weird metallic offnote from it)

OOO sugar cone is a really good wafer but it is delicate and gets stomped on easily.

Well I'm currently vaping Tootall's 3-2-1 Creme Brulee thanks to a poster in one of these previous threads. I've only vaped about 20ml so far after 14 day steep but holy shitballs this stuff is great!

Also just finished up a 15ml sample of The Pink and thought it was good. It was a nice change but not digging it enough to immediately mix a larger batch.

I also just finished a reduced flavor version of VHB's Twister Lolly over on ELR. I made a v2 where I cut all the flavorings by 25% across the board but I found it pretty underwhelming after a 20 day steep. I had vaped the original (sans cooling) back in february in a different atty and really enjoyed it but felt it was way overflavored. I don't think this one is going to be a staple around here simply because I consider it an expensive juice with that 4% INW Shisha Strawberry (I recall paying over $35 CDN for a 120ml)

Glancing over at the steep shelf I've got the following "other mixer's recipes" in the queue. I'm too lazy to hyperlink them but here they are: Zappole, Wanderlust Remix, Icee Grape, Death By Strawberry.

mmm that creme brulee looks good! My first good ejuice was a creme brulee by Golden State Vapors. And while it was really good, it also gunked the coil really fast. Gonna have to order these two :D

Right now... LMN#. I can't believe I've not mixed it before. It's so far up my alley it knows the rats by name. Fantastic, layered, absolutely perfect mix. It nails the profile so well there's no room for improvement. You get a burst of lemon and cream cheese and then that buttery decadent lemon poundcake slides in underneath. Fucking heaven.

Im working on an apple/pear concoction right now:

6% Pear Candy (TFA)

3% Fuji Apple (FW)

1.5% Honeydey II (TFA)

1.5% Vanilla Cupcake (TFA)

1% Sweetener (FW)

1% Cucumber (TFA)

It definitely has the sweetness I'm looking for but I find it a bit tart. Anyone have any suggestions?

My first flavor I made by myself without a recipe... 10% LA watermelon 1.5% lime Tahiti cold pressed 1% inw cactus 2% sweetener It’s actually really good. I’d use less sweetener next time and give it a couple days for the lime to chill out but yeah overall stoked on it.

seems tasty. Give a pear flavor a try in your future melon mixes, it's really good for adding that juiciness and that perceived graininess of a crisp fresh watermelon!

I def thought about it but I’ve had pear add a lot of throat. I have two different ones and I love pear flavors so I’m def gonna give another go sometime

Aside from single Flavor Testing my tobaccos, I have a few Frankenstein concoctions that are strangely exciting but nowhere near what I thought they'd be. This will be a year long project in futility I can already tell.

That said, my Lenola Cream Remix by u/dazcole hit 10 days and I am really underwhelmed but glad I didn't buy it to feel this way. Even if it isn't 100% spot on. I'm starting to think that the 1 month steep for everything is the way to go. So I mixed way way ahead and have near ten more atf recipes for the coming weeks, and I'm going to let this one sit for a minute.

Also, I broke down my Mango Blossom Macaron into smaller testers and added some tobaccos to each. So far the gold for pipe @2% and the Gold Ducat @2% and the 555 Gold @ 2% are all good if a hair too strong. 555 brings out some nuttiness, GFP brings out some smooth sweet pipe and the Ducat just got too sweet and syrupy for me. I feel like all of them together at 0.33% would make this heavenly or just a .5/.5 without the Ducat.

Lastly, I've been playing with the whole 3-2-1 business and I can see why it's such a wonderful concept. It's the Haiku of the vaping world. I just mix up one 10ml for my siren v2 every day. Yesterday's was 1 - FLV Pink Guava, 2 - CAP Lemon Siciliy and 3 - FA Watermelon. After a while I watched the guava fade into the mix and the whole thing became this gently sweet floral nondescript fruit punch. weird but fun. Amazing what 6% can do.

Apologies in advance /u/ChemicalBurnVictim, I thought brigade and politics were going to be my new ADVs but I think your other mixes are criminally underrated. Wall of text incoming.

Three Cities has been my go to vape with my morning cup of coffee this week. Perfectly nutty and earthy but light enough to chain vape (as I usually do). As well, I've had Casino Night in my Kayfun v5 for the past 3 weeks straight and nothing else. I've been hopping around taste testing all these juices I've had steeping for ages but when I'm not satisfied I'll take some toots of Casino Night and be good to go. It's SMOOOOOTH and just a really nice sweet bacco with a bit of a licorice tinge and a little raisin note that adds a little zing at the end of a rip. Love it.

During the day, this Tiger's Blood has dominated my CSMNT which is my go-to and pretty much strictly reserved for stuff I can vape non-stop for hours. I'm not really huge on fruit flavors but this is addicting shit.

Others I'm toying around with:

  • Tutun revisions NUMERO DOS and NUMERO TRES. Testing some of your advice CB. I don't think FLV Turkish was the way to go. It's a bit too sweet and vegetal and not the flavor I was hoping for. Not a bad mix per se, just not where I was going with Tutun. However, cutting out INW oriental and bumping up the TA was the perfect decision and I highly suggest mixing another batch of v2 this time. Might do a v4 of that simple 3-flavor mix but just bumped up across the board a touch.
  • A simple Lucky Charms-ish cereal milk I mixed up for my girlfriend. I gave her my old pico squeeze with a sxk resurrection v2 and she specifically requested lucky charms. PUR Strawb. Marsh Cereal is like somewhere between lucky charms and Frankenberry cereal. It's tasty.

TFA | Mango | 3%

TFA | Cantaloupe | 3%

TFA | Papaya | 2%

Give it a day or two to settle down and it's a lovely smooth tropical vape.

EDIT: This thing is straight up refusing to format for me.

I've just "discovered" CAP Cake Batter and found out I'm one of those people who absolutely adore it. It's a notorious marmite flavour: you either love it or detest it. Even though there are a lot newer cake/ dough flavours around now, none taste quite like CAP Cake Batter. I've only been mixing since last year so had to read old reddit posts to get an appreciation of it.

Basically, It's a gooey, messy, cheap-tasting vanilla dough that coats your mouth. And even though it's an old school flavour, it still beats the hell out of more recent flavours if you're looking for that cheap birthday cake batter taste. I haven't tried FW Cake Batter Dip yet but it contains fructose so not so sure about it.

So if your a newer mixer and like cakes, order a 10ml tester bottle of Cake Batter. You'll either love it or hate it. Below is an "old-school" recipe i'm enjoying at the moment.

Cinnamon Graham Crackers dipped in Birthday Cake Batter with Cream Cheese Icing. CAP Graham Cracker 2 worked better than V1.

Dungaroo Dip

CAP Cake Batter 2%

LA Cream Cheese Icing 1%

CAP Sugar Cookie 2.5%

CAP Graham Cracker (V2) 1.25%

TFA Vanilla Swirl 0.50%

FLV Sweetness 0.35%

Best after 5 days. ( Although the next day was fine for me)
