TFA blueberry: extra or wild?
submitted about 7 years ago by lolops30

TFA only, none is not an option, im using it for accents to fruity flavors, like energy drink or cantaloupe and strawberries.

Thanks for your time.

Based on what you’re trying to accomplish, I would say blueberry extra.

You can definitely try either one, taste is subjective and it depends on what exactly you want to add.

However, you mentioned an energy drink, which I think could use some of the tart quality that Blueberry Extra brings to the table.

Extra is a tiny bit stronger, wild tastes a tiny bit more authentic. Other than that, whichever strikes your fancy.

I've actually got a blueberries and cream recipe that calls for both. Haven't tried them outside of that so I can't really say, but maybe both of them round each other out.

I’ve always thought that extra tastes more like a blueberry sweet, while wild tastes more like a real blueberry. I would recommend buying both, as they are good when used in combination with each other in my experience.
