One tip for you, don't fall into the same trap I did. You'll see a lot of recipes that use 6 or more flavors. There's nothing wrong with making recipes that have 3 or fewer flavors. Some flavors are wonderful as a standalone, and some flavors are only meant to be used as a supporting flavor instead of a main one.

Realized the last part very quickly. I thought I would enjoy TFA Wintergreen since I already enjoy Icebreakers Wintergreen. Nope. Some flavors are only meant to be supporting flavors.

Well done on making the jump! Don't forget to shake the crap out of anything you mix with, Nic, flavours etc. Oh, and get a scale, if you don't have one coming this order! 👍🏼😀

Thanks! Yeah a scale is next with some more flavors. I made the typical rookie move of ordering a lot of the same profile of flavors instead of picking and choosing based off of recipes

Ah, nevermind! You have heard of the term 'Rabbit hole'?

You'll have a blast. Enjoy.

Honestly I'd recommend not waiting for your next flavor order and just picking one up before you do too much mixing. An LB501 should be about $30 and will cut your margin of error significantly versus going by volume (or worse, drops), making consistency/repeatability much easier, or if you have a distraction-free mixing environment and generally work quickly enough that you can deal with a 90s inactivity auto-shutoff you could get a battery-only 500g/0.01g scale for like $12.

I'd say it's even less about the margin of error and more about the ease of use. Not having to clean a bunch of syringes or use a bunch of pipettes to measure each flavor is a huge timesaver. Definitely worth the $30 getting the LB501.

Welcome to the fold! Seriously heed /u/ece_guy 's advice; Start small, and start simple. If you really enjoy it and want to go further then build up. Above all have fun with it!

Nice, welcome to the hobby!

If I have one piece of advice, it's don't be discouraged if you make some bad juices when you're starting out. We've all made some hot garbage, and it's all a learning experience. Look up some popular recipes on ATF and see what works at what percentages.

Also, get your inventory into their "my flavors" section now, before you have too many and can't be bothered to do it.
