Love some Gambit or Mother's Milk but tired of paying a buck a ml? Then you are in the right place my friend. First, did you use the sidebar and search feature? There are also specific clone threads linked in the sidebar. If these have turned up dry, then please post your request for a clone recipe here.
However, you should know that most of the experienced users no longer buy commercial juice. Again, why pay $1/ml when you can mix amazing juice for less than 1/10th of that? Anyway, if you'd like to request a clone, this is the proper place to do it. This post will repeat monthly via AutoModerator.
Happy Mixing!
Bazooka Sour Straws - Blue Raspberry! I’ve sunken so much time into finding the ingredients for this but not even close.
I agree. I've made quite a few great blue raspberries, but bazooka has this (pleasant) peptide note to it
Oooh, can you explain maybe a peptide note? I like the sound of it but can’t picture it...;)
I can certainly try, but I'll have to use comparisons :) If you ever had a Pepto bismol, like the kind you drop in water and it fizzles (which I have only had like a couple times in my life so bear with me), it tastes sort of like that. It has this note thats reminiscent of chalkiness, not necessarily dry though. Almost like the flavor left over from carbonation after it goes flat in a soda. It's sort of this sour/effervescent, sort of chalkiness. There's probably someone who takes Pepto bismol much more than I who could describe it better
/u/ChemicalBurnVictim how's that VCT clone coming along?
This is still where I’m at with it. I gave them another side by side and it seemed close, but the real deal I think is a little heavier on the Toasted Almond, and I’m assuming they use Vanilla Custard v2, which I don’t have. I’ve had a hard time convincing myself to switch it up though because I liked the one I had a little more. I think I’ll take what’s left of the real one with me to work and spend a whole day with it to see if anything jumps out at me, but I’m kind of liking where I’ve got the tobaccos in it.
Anything from TFA/FA/FW that can sub for the FE TA? And why do you think they used a CAP VC V2? I’d love to try this mix out but missing the TA.
I don’t really think there’s a good substitute for the TA with those companies. Best case is you could sub it with a Tobacco Absolute from INW, but those are pretty tricky to source. Might not be too bad to just leave it out. It’ll be different, but not bad. I imagine they use V2 because of the diketone scare a couple years ago, so they likely remixed their recipe with V2’s. When I was researching to do the clone I saw some people mention that something changed with it around the time of the diketone craze.
That looks great man! I'll have to mix up another batch myself. I had a bottle previously but I lost it in the move to my new place.
Did anyone ever figure out a spot on clone of Cosmic Fog's Milk and Honey? I have one I've tinkered with that's close, but I'm curious if anyone else gave in a shot.
This probably isn't super close but it's been my primary juice for at least the last two years:
TFA Graham Cracker Clear 8%
TFA Marshmallow 3%
TFA Peanut Butter 1.5%
CAP Vanilla Custard 2%
TFA Vanilla Swirl 2%
I haven't had the real thing in years but this recipe has been good enough for me for a long time.
Never had the original but this looks good! I don’t have graham cracker clear... any subs that might approximate? I have AP, FA cookie, INW biscuit, CAP sugar cookie, and TPA(?) cheesecake graham crust.
I'm not too much of an expert on other versions of graham cracker flavors. I recall the original version of that recipe I found called for FW graham cracker and that stuff just tasted really funny in the mix. Your TPA cheesecake graham crust would probably taste good but not quite like the original at all.
On a side note, I find the recipe to be vapeable the next day but the longer you can let it steep, the better. I usually mix 300ml at a time and let one bottle steep while pulling from another.
I havent tried this but I found it in an older thread and thought you might find it helpful
Milk & Honey - Cosmic Fog
Peanut Butter (TFA) - 1.5%
Graham Cracker Clear (TFA) - 4%
Banana Cream (LA) - 1.5%
Marshmallow (Cap) - 1.5%
Acetyl Pyrazine (TFA) - .7%
Vanilla Classic (FA) - 1%
Vanilla Custard V2 (Cap) - 1%
Sugar Cookie (Cap) - 1.5%
Toasted Marshmallow (TFA) - 1%
Butterscotch (FA) - 1%
A saw a request for this from last year with no replies. It's called Gold by GOST. I tried it once and really liked it. Now i live somewhere i have to order diy stuff, hardly any vape shops around.
https://www.eliquid.com/products/gold-by-gost?variant=26773002625
I would appreciate any help
Candy kind batch or Swedish
I vape about 80% of the time a single flavor - Pinky from Mitten Vapers. It's a simple pink starburst flavor. I got into DIY a few months back with the sole purpose of trying to recreate, and replace it.
I suck with juice, I've tried around 200 commercial juices, and found 2 ADVs total. Most things I try are completely unvapable for one reason or another. I got into DIY to both learn more about what I wasn't liking, and to try and clone Pinky because it seemed like a relatively simplistic juice that I could be making in giagantic batches... that has not proven to be the case.
Months of work and 75+ iterations later, I'm no where closer than when I started. I'm extremely sensitive to flavors so I can't get "close" with a similar flavor strawberry etc, I'm almost certainly going to have to find the actual combination of a couple specific concentrates before I can vape it.
What I know for fact:
Pinky contains at least some amount of TFA Strawberry ripe, per the owner.
When asked what their "Max VG" % actually was (in order to gain info on concentrate %) I was told "between 8% and 10%"... I do not know if that range accounts for flavor shots that they offer (I always do 1 in pinky), or possibly accounting varying levels of nic they offer.
It smells distinctly of TFA Watermelon candy, but has no taste of it, tasting more as you would expect as a strawberry candy.
Mitten sells concentrates on their site, they do not label the brand, but based off the information available, it is my assumption that Mitten as a whole is 100% TFA flavorings only. Their concentrate listings seem to be all TFA, and they are a lower cost budget company.
I can further elaborate on things I know haven't been working for me, or flavors I know will not (1 drop of meringue makes entire bottles of juice taste like planters nuts to me, for example).
If there are vets out there that are particularly good at this sort of thing, I am more than willing to purchase a bottle at my expense and have it shipped to you for further help with this, it's literally ALL I am about with DIY, I do some MTL salt vapes on the side but this is my true reason for getting into it at all.
I tend to believe the recipe is probably very simple and something along the lines of:
TFA Strawberry Ripe: 4-6% range
TFA Watermelon Candy: 1-3% range
Either TFA Sweetener, EM, or Cotton Candy: 1-3% range (doesn't seem to be supersweet)
1 X factor concentrate I'm totally not getting but changing everything: 1-2% range
What strawberries have you tried so far? When did this juice come out? Do you have any idea what vendor(s) Mitten uses? A lot of shops use all TFA, all FW, or all Capella.
Recipe is somewhere around 4 years old at this point. My belief is that Mitten is 100% TFA. I came to that belief based on seeing their concentrate section on their site, which while unlabeled, kind of all scream TFA to me. They're also a lower cost vendor with deep discounts often pushing their juice under $0.10/ml ... Makes me think they definitely do not use stuff from the likes of FLV etc.
I've mostly been homing in on tfa strawberry ripe and tfa strawberry. I straight up asked the owner if he could tell me the strawberries used in pinky, the info i got back was "there is 2 in pinky: tfa strawberry ripe and tfa strawberry fresh". When pressed about the strawberry fresh not being an actual concentrate, he said he would have to check because he "relabeles them when they come in so no one can steal the recipe."
He never did get back to me on that 2nd one, so I've worked under the assumption it was tfa strawberry.
Ive tried red touch and sweet strawberry as potentials that were around and highly used around that time, neither one sits well with me though.
Okay now we're getting somewhere. I'm sure we can get close.
A lot of folks use TFA Strawberry and Strawberry Ripe together to get a more balanced accurate Strawberry. Ripe will bring the candy as it's chock full of Ethyl Maltol (cotton candy). Getting the balance right is going to be the trick. I've seen both used as high as 4% together. Other recipes have Ripe at 5% and the other at 1-2%. Have you played with just these 2 strawberries alone to see if you can get the strawberry part close?
We also need to work out the Starburst part. How does Mitten's taste/feel? Have you tried any of the TFA additives?
- Smooth - essentially triacetin. It will mute a lot over 1% but it brings an oily waxy mouthfeel. Has a slight pineapple/banana fruity note.
- Gummy Candy
- Swedish Gummy
- Red Licorice
New mixer here! One of my main reasons for getting into DIY is because of my girlfriend's search for her "white whale" ejuice. It's called Quantum by Cloud Theory
I've tried a few times and it just keeps coming out tasting like pina colada. The hardest part of this clone is that you can't get the original anymore, since Cloud Theory's "CG" concept was a disaster. Should be noted I'm not chasing a 1:1 coil-killing sugar-choking clone, just the same flavor profile in maybe an 80/20 VG/PG mix.
Hoping someone here has tried it and remembers it or maybe still has some tucked away.
I want to try (and i stress the word TRY) to make a clone of Banana Butt - Left Cheek. What flavours would you recommend starting with. It is described as "delicious warm fresh out-of-the oven banana nut cookie infused with sweet pieces of banana candy". No clue where to start, so any ideas or signs pointing in the right direction. I have several different banana's and banana creams, but thinking i might need a banana nutt flavouring.
Hello mixers,
I’ve been vaping for a little over two years. It seems like I’ve tried hundreds of not thousands of different liquids. My mixing journey started last month and it’s been decent. Mixing other popular recipes are great but, the ones that I’ve dabbled in seems to fall flat. To the point! One juice that has stood out to me is The Man From Nantucket by ACK eliquids. The profile description is a snickerdoodle cookie dunked in vanilla milk. What I get out of it is a authentic creamy milk with cookie undertones. Can anyone start me off with a good beginning recipe so I can try to mimic the flavor?
Thanks, Whendex
I would start with /u/ID10-T 's Snickerdoodle Cookie and then possibly try to add some milkyness to that, maybe by pulling some of the Cream Fresh and Sweet Cream from Sadlad Toast Crunch which to my taste really nails the milk in his recipe.
Thank you for the reply, I will mix this up and let you know how it turns out. Thanks again!
No worries, I'm going to mix up the Snickerdoodle Cookie again tonight, I remember it being quite good. I'll also do a version with less vanilla custard, but adding in some vanilla bean ice cream, sweet cream and cream fresh.
I've been looking for a little something to play around with and this profile seems tasty. The cookie does require a bit of a steep to fully develop.
Speaking of BCF, I placed a order with them yesterday, it shipped out this morning. Nic river on the other hand has had my order for four days without a shipping notification. BCF seems to be the place to shop, I just wish their PG/VG could match nic rivers price,
Mt. Baker Vapor's Dream Tea. It is absolutely wonderful.
The description states: "Dream Tea is a blend of subtle green tea, with a fruit medley. With a touch of hibiscus, for a light, refreshing vape!"
Reviewers have mentioned tastes of peach (mainly) and mango.
I would die if I could clone this, but I'm still a beginner.
If all you folks who are looking for clone recipes just pay attention to what happens on this page: the people who get the most help are the people who are helping themselves the most! If you just put you want a clone and the name of that clone, very few get a response. If you just tell us any research you have done, any recipes that you have tried that have been close or not-basically just tell us SOMETHING other than the name of the juice you want to clone-those are the people who get the help. You've gotta help us help you.
Idt anyone but me has had Gold Seal juice lol. I want to clone Miruvor and John Sullivan. I know Miruvor had forest mix, green tea, and teaberry/wintergreen. I've gotten close but not close enough. The John Sullivan description claims to have 16 flavors or some ridiculous number lmao. It's like vaping a chocolate coated coffee ice cream filled waffle cone.
Would love to see a clone for Malibu Meltdown - Fresh Pressed. Thank you!
horny mango. tried and tried to get something close to it, not even close. anyone? please.
Found a good recipe online, and I've adjusted and messed with it and made it better since, though not having horny mango on-hand, my adjustments may have strayed from the commercial profile. The original is
FLV Mango 2%
REK Sexy Mango 2%
CAP Sweet Mango 6%
Ws-23 (30%) .5-75% (preference)
CAP Super Sweet .5-1% (preference)
Kookie Monstah - Double stuf Oreo
Ive searched high and low but have failed to find an adequate recipe of Charlie Chalk Dust "Wonder Worm". Please tell me someone has something close!!??
After DIYing for a year I bought some of that stuff. I could only describe it as slightly fruity sucralose. It made me actually sick to vape. Whatever you come up with (assuredly, TFA dragonfruit is in there, probably INW Cactus.), add 1.5-2% Capella Super Sweet or it won't taste right.
Hihi :) Has anyone had any luck with a recipe close to Proost's Cactus juice? At first I was thinking INW Cactus, with a bit of a kiwi and green apple? But I saw a website that described it as cactus, pear, and dragonfruit. I'm a bit off. Before I sink more time into trying to figure it out, I am wondering if (and hoping) someone on here had any luck duplicating (or close-to-duplicating) this juice?
Hawaiian POG by naked 100...would love to be able to find a 1:1 clone of this
https://alltheflavors.com/recipes?sort_order=new&name_like=Hawaiian+pog
Tried any of them leaving out super sweet?
I fell in love with a local romanian juice called Minty Ice Tea and I can't seen to nail it not even a bit, it's description is "Ice tea with lemon, blueberry and fresh mint". On inhale I taste a juicy and sweet lemon( probably CAP juicy lemon) combined with just a little blueberry to add swetness, the mint (this one feels natural not like a candy), and on exhale and inhale the tea. It's only made with basic flavor companies ( TFA CAP FA INW) since others don't exist here or nearby. Can someone give me a hint on how to work on it?
Maybe... these are 2 companies you don’t have listed I hope you just forgot, but, Flavorah has a nice ice tea w lemon and Inawera has a nice blueberry w mint. Maybe those 2 together? Seems like a simple way for a company to do a juice just 2 flavors...idk? It’s a thought.
Still waiting for anything that comes even slightly close to Kilo's Cereal Milk.
Chasing this mix burned me out on cereals really hard. Out of my 200-or-so recipes around half are cereal milk attempts. None have come remotely close. a few tasted barely okay.
Kilo's Cereal Milk is the leftover milk after a bowl of fruity pebbles. This means there is no AP or flavors containing AP. There's no crunch. It's all milky cream and citrus-y fruits. To me it tastes like a mixture of the sugar milk from the bottom of the bowl plus the soggy bits of cereal left around the edges.
No, FW Fruity Flakes is not in it. In fact I'd say no cereal-type flavorings are in it. TFA Fruit Circles, Fruit circles w/Milk, FW Crunch Fruit Cereal, TFA Berry Crunch, FW Fruit Rings, TFA Silly Rabbit, RF Fruit Pebbles, FW Crunch Berries. None of these are in the mix. I promise. I have never once smelled, or tasted, a flavor and thought to myself "Yeah this is what they use".
Yes, I've tried every recipe on ELR. Yes, I've seen the "clone" on that french site. No, none are accurate or even similar.
I'm at the point where I believe that Kilo uses in-house flavorings that are not available to the public. Whoever their mixer is should get a huge award, with a bonus, and paid vacation time.
some - random - attempts. And then my - first - few - attempts from when i first started mixing. which, i promise you, are disgusting.
Stacey's Mom by Slam Cake Vapes.
It's my favourite, but it's unavailable in Canada, and importing it is a crap shoot based on the mood of the border officer that day.
(Or any other smooth fruity recipes with no cream or cream flavour. The first "peach" and "raspberry" concentrated flavour bases I bought tasted super creamy. :()
Hi! If this is the right place. Beard Green ejuice. This is the juice that made me start DIY, cause I just figured it would be straight up. So far nothing. I have some more melon flavours coming in, but I don't have anything yet that is a similar profile, either in the vanilla custard or the melons. Thanks a ton! https://www.directvapor.com/e-liquids/green-by-beard-vape-co-e-liquid-60ml.html
Anyone tried cloning sicboy’s MBYC? I find this juice a bit too sweet, but the flavor is just amazing. They nailed that butter praline ice cream profile. I’ve tried a few times but haven’t been able to nail it. I’d post what I tried, but my flavor notes on this one were in a physical notebook which was lost (along with my luggage) by the fabulous China eastern airlines...
Hey lads! Anyone knows a clone for Slow Blow from Nasty?
So, I got caught short on a holiday in Italy and ran out of my DIY juice so hunted down a vape store in Naples. I don’t speak Italian and the guy didn’t speak much English so I went with something I’d seen in stores and am now looking to recreate! I can find a recipe for Horny Mango which I’m going to try but I’d really like a recipe for Horny Pineapple. Any ideas?!
Thanks!
Pirate's Cave by Starbuzz. Would really love to be able to DIY this but I'm still new to all this to figure it out myself. It is ridiculously overpriced and a bit hard to come by. Flavor is dominantly lime, Mt. Dewish (maybe Baja Blast version with lime being more dominant), lime Skittles but there are some other flavors in there that I don't think are in the description that I couldn't point out. It does have a very slight mint undertone that my guess would be done with something like Koolada or something else I may not know of yet. I want this for my most frequent ADV. Any help is appreciated!
Again looking for a clone or anyone who’s even tried Meringue by Abstract Clouds, a line by Vapor Hut, been working on it for closing in on 2 years still can’t get it right. Any and all help would be massively appreciated PM me and I can give you what I’ve tried so far.
JERRYBERRY From Mouse Chef / Snap Liquids ● ● ● I have been vaping since the ego and mixing for about 2 years. When I say mixing...I mean mixing other peoples recipes. I have created a few, but I must be careful when I say "created" I have taken others recipes and combined them, or tweaked them for my own variants. So needless to say, I do not consider myself a "mixer." I do consider myself a "DIY"er and am grateful and thankful for resources like this, ELR, ATF & all the individuals & businesses supporting the movement in other forms. It has greatly enhanced my vaping experience and helped my wallet. Another reason for not publishing recipes is the fact that I lack the ability to describe additives, along with lacking the knowledge to deceptively describe why I would add "flavor x" at "ratio x" ...So when reading this clone request please take that into consideration. ● ● ● I delayed my order of fresh base and ran out of juice while waiting. While my daughter and I were at the mall. I swung by the vendor and paid 30 fucking bucks for a 100ml bottle of what the dude at the booth gave me when I asked for the "hottest juice"... Now in my hand I have Jerry Berry.... It is indeed delicious. With your help I would like to add it to my arsenal. ● ● ● Jerry Berry is described in a couple ways...depending on what website you look it up on. It is said to be..... ● "Sweet raspberries and juicy oranges mixed together with a delicious cream." ● "Jerryberry E-Liquid by Mouse Chef is a juicy apple and sweet raspberries blended together into a delicious cupcake dessert." ● "Jerryberry is a blend of apples and raspberries that are both fresh and sweet. The fruity flavor is added into a cupcake dessert flavor to give you a creamy and fruity vape flavor!" ● "fresh bake cupcake that has been infused with juicy apples and ripe raspberries." ● ● ● I do not taste apples really. Definitely a raspberry orange cream. Perfectly balanced. Taking the first description to be most accurate & maybe even telling of the additives used..? Could it be as simple as TFA sweet raspberry, Cap Juicy Orange and some sort of sweet cream or cupcake? I will say for sure the Juicy Orange is in there, subtle citrus tang on the inhale and present as a back note on the exhale. Perfectly slipped in. The raspberry and whatever "cake" or "cream" takes the show. Its almost like a poptart. Sweet, bright but balanced. Not acidic or harsh. No soapy tastes which I do get from some raspberries. I don't know this is my best attempt to describe it. I was hoping someone had tried it or was already on a mission to clone it. Thanks for reading sorry for, and understand if TLDR.
I started vaping a couple of months ago and purchased an eliquid in a local shop that I really like. They sell the concentrates to mix it but of course will not share the recipe.
It's called return of the dragon
Any help would be appreciated.
Copying the description from the link since with reddit's new rules you probably shouldn't be linking to a site that sells finished liquid with nicotine in it:
> A ripe strawberry, fresh dragon fruit, and sweet peach fused together to make a deliciously refreshing all day vape!
I've not tried this (doubt anyone else reading this has, either) so I can only assume what it would taste like, but it piqued my interest because the profile sounds nice and it involves flavors I either already have on hand or that're on my list to buy come Labor Day sales. Anyway, here's the two mixes I'd start off with, plus some notes on why I'm suggesting what I am:
Flavor|v0.1-1|v0.1-2 :--|:-:|:-: TPA Ripe Strawberry|5%|5% TPA Dragonfruit|3%|3% TPA Juicy Peach|5%|3% FA White Peach|--|1.5% TPA Vanilla Swirl|--|1%
TPA Ripe Strawberry is the best regular/plain/fresh/fruity/non-candy strawberry I've worked with so far. Alternately, I haven't gotten INW Shisha Strawberry and FA Juicy Strawberry yet so I can't give a full-blown endorsement, but based on how many raves I've seen about them (I've not heard one bad thing about either) they're worth considering here. Cap Sweet Strawberry is lovely but better suited to candies and jams and the like IMO. Strongly recommend you avoid the TPA Strawberry that doesn't have "Ripe" in the name.
The dragon fruit is a bit of a stab in the dark - I haven't worked with it yet but TPA Dragonfruit is on my list of things to try because I've seen it in a lot more recipes than any others (like by an order of magnitude or two). Median and mean usage on ELR are 3% and 4.1% respectively in mixes and 8% solo. If the dragonfruit notes are much stronger than the strawberry's you could probably even out these to 4% each easily enough; conversely, I suspect you could cut it down as low as 2% and still have it show through a little if despite the name it's only a background note.
Based on their description I'm guessing TPA Juicy Peach around 5% will be pretty close to what they're doing. The v0.1-2 using FA White Peach is more for my tastes instead of trying to copycat a store's liquid: the white peach is a more complex and tart (but still sweet) peach flavor, versus juicy peach's being a simpler, much sweeter and riper flavor that's approaching but not quite crossing into cloying/artificial/candy territory (and can easily be pushed into that territory if you like the idea of a Peach Rings type vape).
The TPA Vanilla Swirl is there to add some texture/mouthfeel, but is totally optional.
Not mentioned but also optional is sweetener: this being storebought there's probably a fair bit of ethyl maltol muting flavors and a much higher percentage of flavorings to counteract that, but instead I'd keep flavor percentages sane and, if it's not already sweet enough, try 0.2-0.5% of Rick's Sugar Daddy when you do your second round of mixes (and adding/subtracting from there in subsequent mixes, no higher than ~1%). If you can't get that for whatever reason (shouldn't be a problem, Wizard Labs has it) there are other options like sucralose and Cap Super Sweet in addition to EM.
Also not mentioned but optional, if there's any cooling in this (like menthol minus the astringent/herbal flavors), or if you just want to give it more of a juice/smoothie type vibe, look into adding a bit of WS-23.
Hope this helps!
Purple Alien by Rocket Sheep
"The crowd favorite. This out-of-this-world vanilla custard with a twist is smooth, sweet, and creamy on the inhale, and finishes the hit with a hint of fruity sweetness. "
I got more of a tang, and not much the custard. Nevertheless I see not a single clone recipe, not even an attempt. Simply loved this when it was still available here.
