Happy Vaping!
In the Berserker this week I’ve had an NET I made from Solani Aged Burley Flake. Wonderful NET if anyone is in to making their own. Very earthy and nutty.
My Battle of the Baccos thing got me wanting to mess around with INW Oriental (not the tobacco absolute) so I’ve been vaping a version of a recipe that involves that since around Saturday. Already decided to make a change to it, but it’s still pretty damn good as it is. And I made 60 ml of it, so I might as well finish it while the new version steeps.
Playing around with a slightly fruity chewing tobacco for Mixers Club. Mixed up a couple different versions of that last night, so we will see how those turn out.
Going to be mixing up a whole bunch of Virginia/Bright leaf/Flue Cured tobaccos for my next Battle of the Baccos. Kind of working on some different things to judge for this round so it’s not just giving a flavor one score. Getting all professional and shit. I could have taken a little more time with the Turkish one, but the idea for this “series” had been brewing since November or December and I finally had the time and energy to sit and do it, so I just went for to get the ball rolling.
You gonna do a Perique round? How about a cigar tobacco (cigars, Connecticut Shade, and if there's any Maduro or Cameroon flavors I don't know about...)? RYs?
The way I’m going about the thing right now is only comparing concentrates with the certain tobacco in the name, so I’d really only have FA Perique Black and INW Perique Black, which is just a clone of FA Perique Black as far as I can tell. Cigars I will probably do since there’s quite a few of those. I’d probably throw in some of the ones that are named after cigars and not necessarily have “Cigar” in the name. RYs I think I’m going to just throw in the flavor of the week since that’ll be in a few weeks anyway. Once I run out of general tobaccos (Turkish/Oriental, Flue Cured/Bright Leaf/Virginia, Cigars, Burley...) I might start picking a few random ones to do Battle. Basically just start winging it.
Lots of things!
I haven't left the office for the day yet so I'm still tootle puffin this little pod thingy with some homemade peach-bacco in it. Can't wait to get home and drip some different versions of a recipe I'm working on. On the drive there, I'll have some of chilled prickly pear tea thing that's also a WIP.
This week I didn't have a chance to try others' recipes but I did sample 27 different liquor flavors. AMA about FA Jamaica Special, FA Brandy, FA Gin, FA Whisky, FA Liquid Amber, FW Whiskey, FW Rum, FW Martini, TFA Kentucky Bourbon, TFA Brandy, TFA Kentucky Bourbon, TFA Brandy, VT Light Rum, VT Golden Rum, VT Russian Vodka, VT Scotch Whiskey, VT Bourbon, VT Cognac, VT Cherry Liquor, RFSC Coconut Spiced Rum, RFSC Bourbon, WF Rum Baba, MB Capitan Rum, MB JD Whiskey, GF Rum, GF Whiskey, and/or FLV Bourbon.
Appreciate you getting drunk on Noted for our entertainment, you fuckin' lush
I was thirsty and ran out of water?
This is perfect timing for your impromptu ama. I'm starting to play around with a pear/pineapple/rum recipe, and I'd love your opinion on which rum concentrate would work best with those flavours. Currently only have FA Jamaica special.
I'm going for boozy and spiced.
So I hate to break this to you, but the only one of those rums I tried that had any spice to it and wasn't disgusting was RFSC Coconut Spiced Rum, and of course, that comes with pretty prominent coconut flavor. So you would be making a pear/coconut/pineapple/rum recipe with that one. If that is not ok, I'd use FA Jamaica Special for the sweet rum body and VT Light Rum for the boozy and bring your own spice to the party, like 1 to 2% of each (probably start with 1% of each in the first version and go up next time if needed). There are lots of options for spice and it might depend on which ones work best with your other ingredients, but IMO INW Shisha Punch would be a good place to start.
Thanks for the recommendations. I think I'll go the FA JS+VT LR route, as i'm going for a more fruity (almost puree like) vibe with the flavour, as opposed to a pina colada style drink. I mainly want cinnamon, so I'm gonna try rich cinnamon at 0.1% or so and hope it doesn't take over.
Do you know if rich cinnamon dulls or mellows out with a steep at all?
Mostly just been vaping a ~2% Menthol and Eucalyptus mix and finishing up some mediocre juices for the last couple of months, but finally getting back to mixing some more creative recipes.
In the last week I've mixed:
Watermelon Jelly Rancher (First time making this, but enjoying it a lot.)
Happy with all these, but still trying to find some more fruit/candy recipes I can make with my current flavors. It's hard to look at recipes without wanting to just order more flavors I've never tried..
It's really hard to avoid that temptation. At least point I have like 60 flavors and I started doing this 2 months ago, it's become a real issue because I no longer have bags that are big enough to conveniently organize all of my flavors. I'm doing everything I can to avoid purchasing more for at least a month. I have so much to work with, surely I can make some more of my own recipes work.
I've been vaping on my Rhubarb Delight for the past couple weeks pretty much constantly. I don't typically stick with any recipe that long whether it's my own or someone else's, but this stuff is addictive as hell for me.
I generally go for variety throughout every day, but I can't put this one down. My last 120 (made Sunday) I boosted the rhubarb 0.1%, pear and strawberry upped 0.2%, and custard got a 0.25% boost. I wanted to see how it steeped, but it's almost half gone already and I'm probably going to end up borrowing some CAP CDS and INW Custard to hold me over until I can get a 4th of July sale deal.
I'm usually not one to toot my own horn very loud but this stuff is awesome.
Edit:I just mixed some Green Tea Kit Kat by /u/ExclusiveGirl, some Mango Sticky Rice by /u/shyndo, and some Fab Fig Flan by "ruderudi". (not a Reddit user). I plan on checking back to this wonderful weekly thread in a week or two with some reviews for these.
Found a few older mixes I'd done up, mostly finishing them off. I'm mostly alternating between Boozy Burley Bourbon Juice and a Honeysuckle variant on Poon-tang
3-2-1 Creme Brulee by tootall
I subbed Vanilla Swirl at 2% because I don't have Shisha. The swirl is decent, but the INW Creme Brulee and Custard combo is super good.
Boss Reserve Clone by folkart
Still making this with FLV Banana at .5%-.7%. Surprisingly smooth after some steeping, one of the best recipes I've ever tried.
A Terkish Remix (butterscotch custard) by totall
This one really needs to steep IMO. I dumbly put it in a plastic bottle that previously had a cherry soda- it gave the custard a funky cherry soda flavor even after cleaning lol. Seemed a little light on flavor, but it's tasty.
Since I've been loving these dark sugar type flavors (FLV Milk & Honey, FW Butterscotch Ripple, INW Creme Brulee) mixed with custards, I'm going to make an inspired recipe like this and see what happens:
INW Custard 3%
INW Creme Brulee 2%
FLV Milk & Honey 1.5%
FLV Banana .75%
I've also been enjoying Lemon Tart and Blackberry Crumble from the Dinner Lady line. A tad sweeter than your average DIY recipe, but I find it fun to try a nice "premium" juice from time to time. The better juice companies seem to do a nice job of pushing flavor %'s without going overboard.
> INW Custard 3% > INW Creme Brulee 2% > FLV Milk & Honey 1.5% > FLV Banana .75%
I've been messing with INW Custard quite a bit recently. This recipe will be lovely. I do suggest halving the INW Custard here though, and keeping everything else the same. 1.5%.
I made T. Mace's Western Burly DNB recipe but added 3% FLV Virginia and I must say after a week steep it's delicious!
I was lazy this week. I mixed up a 120ml of [Grack Juice] (https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/9396) and have been vaping it all week.
Been vaping a simple melon mix most of the week.
Flv Wild melon 1%
Rf watermelon .5%
Ws23 1%
Quite refreshing in the Georgia humidity.
Still trying to finish off some sadlad . Its good just can't vape it all day.
I'm slowly becoming CBV's apprentice (he just doesn't know it yet). Been working on a fuckton of tobacco vapes with his aid. Some failures, some promising.
Had a floral apricot/peach tobacco that's not bad but it's not great. Gotta work on that one some more. Had some attempts to clone Marlboro Southern Cuts but nothing is coming close yet. Still single flavor testing for the base.
HOWEVER, I just mixed up THIS and it's fucking phenomenal straight off the shake. I don't think my 30ml will last long enough to see how it steeps but I'm of the mindset that if it tastes good S&V then it'll only get better. Especially so with tobaccos, and I believe we're a little lacking in the S&V tobaccos department. So I done did gewd by my standards :) Definitely tooting on Tutun straight through the entire bottle, I think.
If you want SnV tobaccos, you need to mix straight FLV tobacco flavors. On the plus side, you can cut the amounts of flavors in half for SnV...
I've been chain vaping Cardinal, I can't get enough of it. I wish it were a little stronger but perhaps the addictive appeal is that it is subtle and leaves you wanting more.
I recently bought TFA Blueberry Extra. I've been really surprised by this, I've never liked blueberries to eat as a fresh fruit and when it is bakery stuff it never tastes particularly distinctive to me. Vaping it though is another story, something about it is quite complex and, for me, a really refreshing change of flavour profile. So far I've tried Blueberry Cheesecake Remake and this Blueberry Cobbler, both really tasty.
I'm becoming interested in mixing the blueberry with other fruits, I have no idea what it is supposed to go with but I was thinking mango could be interesting.
Not sure if I can link to LiquidBarn since they sell nicotine, but I've been vaping Wayne's Sang Petillant which has been a great hot weather vape. Not my typical profile but it's been super refreshing.
One I find extremely weird is AlaskaVaper's Corn Quick which is Quik One-Shot with Corn. It's oddly delicious.
Other than those two, always have my squonkers loaded up with JoeRoot's Squowberry and have a bunch of random mixes just sitting on my desk in arms reach.
I have given up trying to exactly replicate Cool Mango and instead settled on my own recipe that has a very similar profile but I'd rather just call it Juicy Fruit at this point. It cool, it's fruity, it's sweet. It's basically everything I love to vape the majority of the time.

I also grabbed the flavors for DIYorDIE's Jam Monster and The One clones and mixed some of those last week. Both didn't come out quite right on my end but after playing with the percentages and tweaking a few other things I think I have a pretty good Blueberry and Strawberry Jam Monster down good. The One is going to be a tough one for me I think, I am not quite sure what is putting it off to me but I think it might be the Lemon Meringue Pie just doesn't sit well with me. I'm considering going a bit more basic to figure out the profile more and use FA Lemon Sicily instead, keep the CAP Sugar Cookie, add a little more FA Meringue and maybe a touch TFA Marshmallow to help soften the vape. It probably won't match The One but I think it increases the likelyhood of getting a lemon bar type vape that I think would be delicious.
I mixed up a sour candy watermelon as my first 120ml bottle and I have to say. I have mixed feelings.
8%TFA candy watermelon
3% TFA watermelon
1%TFA sweet
2%TFA sour
It tastes EXACTLY like watermelon hubba bubba. *but* it does something terrible to my coils after vaping just 10mls. I fear 2% sour was far too much
1% sweetener isn't too much but it does add to the coil mangling factor, and yeah 2% sour will obliterate coils. I Vaped on Hex from Golden State Vapor for the longest time but that shit just drops a nuke inside any atty I put it in, and I attributed it to the Sour. Even their other juices, all loaded with sweetener, didn't mangle my shit THAT bad.
Worth it though :)
I recently purchased a bottle of Furiosa Ice Beam and I recognised the flavours immediately so I've been trying too recreate it and I'm pretty close too a 1:1 although I'm still tweaking the recipe these are the concentrates I'm using. FW Extreme Ice INW Grapes FA Fuji Menthol Sweetener Once it's nailed I will post the recipe with percentages.
