Naked 100 'Green Blast' question
submitted over 7 years ago by lurch91

So I'm going by this recipe that was posted a while back: https://www.reddit.com/r/diy_ejuice/comments/4h0deo/_/

Instead of buying the regular "Honeydew", I bought the "HoneyDew II" simply because of the price being much cheaper. That bring said, do I still need to use 9% like this recipe calls for? I read somewhere that it's cheaper because it's diluted a bit more than the original. Also, I ordered some WS-23 from ECX. How much should I add to give it a real cold hit but still retain all the flavors from the honeydew, apple, kiwi, and sweet cream? How long should this recipe step for? Best vg/pg ratio on this blend?

9% TFA Honeydew. What the fuck. That stuff is overpowering at 2%.

TFA Honeydew II is not just diluted Honeydew, it's different. But it is less potent. It might even be vapable at 9%.

9% TFA Honeydew! I'm still having trouble wrapping my head around that. I think you tried to vape that you'd die and go to hell and devil would be like what's that smell is that TFA Honeydew because you'd have it permanently stained into your soul.

Try that WS-23 at 1%.

Lol, well that's why I'm asking before I make something that is complete garbage. That's the only recipe I had to go by, so that's the ingredients I bought. Is the honeydew 2 still pretty good? It smells delicious.

Only way to know is try it solo @ 5% ;)

edit: 9% is ridiculously high for v1...try that at 4% and I bet it tastes close to the same.

Yes, Honeydew II is still pretty good. Plus it's easier to work with and doesn't seem to stain your device with honeydew flavor as much as Honeydew does. It lacks some of the juiciness of Honeydew, but it is also less prone to getting soapy-tasting if you use too much of it. I've had it 5% standalone and it was just fine.

Jesus, 1% of TFA honeydew and I have completely clean the RDA. 9% and I'd probably just trash it.

Never tried Honey II, I was scared after the original.

I would never describe TFA Honeydew as a “subtle” flavor. I’m with u/ID10-T. That’s crazy

If I had to choose between subtle and violent to describe TFA Honeydew I would not pick subtle.

I've been curious to try that recipe too but was waiting for someone to try the 9% honeydew and give us feedback before I ventured into it.

This could go on one of those Confession Bear memes.

As soon as I get my ws-23 in, I will definitely post an update. I'll do a 60 ml batch, let it steep a week and see what happens.

I have both. And am a honeydew man. I like them both, but honeydew II I use mostly for lighter touches. Also, as others have said, 9% honeydew is madness, I don't go above 4 and thats when the honeydew is the key ingredient. Also, I've seen the sweet cream addition as well, and I leave it out, despite liking sweet cream. Try searching for a clone on www.e-liquid-recipes.com, that's where I got mine and I think its pretty spot on.

I don't have Honeydew II in my inventory, but I'm willing to bet it's a very different flavor. Most of their V2s are very different from the originals.

I wish I had more to tell you, just a heads up if it doesn't taste right.

I mean it smells good. It smells like honeydew if I knew any better. But then again, this is the first time I've ordered from tfa

Wow, the v2 is really less expensive? Interesting, wonder why?

I'm a little curious about this too. Almost every TFA flavoring I've ever seen at Bullcity is $1.29 per 10ML. For some odd reason TFA Honeydew's price is $1.74 per 10ML.
