How do you mix salt nics higher then 30mg. The only nicotine salt concetrate to buy avaiable I can find is 72mg. If I'm about to use 72 mg whats your suggestion of highest possible mix that I can get away with?
Depends. What base is the salts? What's the amount of PG you're comfortable with? How much flavor in the recipes you want to mix? Given that info, I could easily work out what the most nic you could use would be. Without it... impossible to say.
Pg base salts with about 10% flavorings. I can use calculator myself but I'm fairly new to diy and i don't know if can use nicotine instead of my pg in the mix. Does it gonna affect flavor? Sorry if my english is a bitt poor. Cheers!
Hello,
I would kill for some good recipes for mojito. I'm new to the mixing more than one flavour and I wanna mix me some mojito jucie
How would one go about boosting muted flavors in a Max VG / Full VG recipe?
The easiest answer is bump everything up a percent or so.
Maybe if you don't have any sweetner in it already , add a few drops of super sweet.
For fruit mixes , a little lemon could help lift up the other flavors a bit.
Would help more if I knew the recipe.
I have the Watermelon flavor from Lorann, of course is a red one. Is this "save" to vape because the colors?
True I don’t think I want food dye in my vapes either but idk for sure...HOWEVER, Inawera does sell color for vapes.. the site doesn’t really say what it is but it makes me feel much better about any colored liquids, except Lorann because they have notoriously essential oils mixed in w their flavors... so just be careful w Loranns and just get ones that have always been used tried and true. Honestly, it’s only my personal opinion, but they’re not exactly cheap flavors and there are so many better or equally good options now I don’t ever even look at Loranns anymore.. they haven’t done anything like the rest of the industry to try and cater to us or improve and do better... have they? Idk maybe maybe not but still too many w essential oils or oil based for food I guess idk, and newbs aren’t knowing better and that could be bad.. that make sense?
Getting ready to put in my first order at Nic River, wondering if I'm missing anything, or if I should skip anything I have on my list:
PurNic™ 100mg Smooth Nicotine Salts 150ml / Propylene Glycol / 100mg
100ml Borosilicate Beaker
Syringe Combo, Is it practical to try and use these for measuring?
Propylene Glycol 240ml
Vegetable Glycerin 500ml
Various Bottles
Various flavors, enough to make one clone that I liked, and some other flavors that sound good / useful.
TIA!
I’d say ditch the beaker and order a scale
I was planning on measuring with the syringes. Was just looking into scales a little bit too though.
Do you have to determine the weight of each ingredient first?
So... specialized question - anyone who has experience with Flavor Monks gin... just how worth it is it? I'd havery to try and source them somewhere otherwise, and I'd probably go nutty and buy a dozen or more flavors at once just to cut the unit price (after shipping) so I'd kinda like to avoid that... but I found a gin drink I really want to turn into a juice flavor...
u/ConcreteRiver has flavor reviews up for a couple of them.

Yeah... I remember seeing reviews. I was more hoping for a second opinion.
I dont have many spare plastic 30ml bottles for mixing and experimenting. I find that sometimes i don't mix as much because i avoid the cleaning process, where i rinse each bottle over and over. Once i tried soaking them in soapy water and that just ruined them. Im paranoid if i dont clean them out enough that it will hurt the next mix.
Am i being overly cautious? Are there any simple ways to clean out old plastic bottles so there are free of residue or do i just need to bite the bullet and order a shit ton of bottles to mix with? (Never do because of the very long delivery time to se asia)
I tried the whole cleaning a reusing thing, became a pain in the ass. I would eventually break off the tips and the bottle would become useless.
Bite the bullet. It's way easier that way. Otherwise, switch to glass bottles as they are easier to clean and don't hold on flavors like plastic does, abit costing more upfront.
You can’t really clean out LDPE bottles. They absorb flavor too much. I’ve tried reusing them after cleaning them twice in my mixing lifetime, and both times the juices were ruined.
If you want to reuse bottles, get glass ones. Otherwise, buy a bunch of plastic ones knowing they will be a one-time use.
I'm going against the grain here, but I've reused the same LDPE bottles for more than three years and not once have I noticed residual smells imparting any flavor on the next mix. All I do is fill them up with hot tap water and let sit for a moment, then rinse a few times with cold water, then let air dry. Storing the bottles without the caps helps reduce some of the smells that inevitably stick to the plastic until next time you use them. But to each his own, I don't question other peoples experiences, I'm just telling you mine.
In my experience, there are some flavours that will never come out--grape, mint/menthol and coffee for example-- but generally I haven't had any problems with residual smell, and I re-use my bottles a lot.
Here's what I've found works: Soak them overnight in warm water and vinegar. Rinse them out well and let them dry off. No soap though!
Give it a try before you give up :)
Try mixing a small amount of isopropyl alcohol (or vodka) into water and rinsing your bottles with that. Works far better than just hot water.
Mixed the popular HoneyDEWWEY: A Boba Remix recipe and let it steep for a week. I tried it as a snv and it was amazing. Figured it would get better after the steep but now there's almost no more flavor. I didn't let it breath, heat steep or anything like that. Shook it up and let it sit in my closet. What's the deal? Followed exact recipe, nic, vg and pg from liquid barn. 1,5mg nic 30ml mix 70/30 vg/pg.
It could be the sweetener that mutes the flavor, perhaps it just took a while to kick in.
I didn't reply since I'm not a fan of melon and haven't used them much, so I can only speculate that these flavors might fade a bit over time. And sometimes flavors seem a lot stronger right after a mix because they haven't blended in yet. Check out the flavor reviews in the sidebar to see if it's mentioned.
I'm looking for a watermelon flavour: Big Mouth Watermelon Sour Rings vs Capella Double Watermelon?
So I just picked up INW Pear (also have FA and TFA, though I hate TFA). ELR doesn't have much for this flavor but the sub seems to love it. Does anyone have any suggestions for summery/fruity (non bakery) mixes? I love actual pears but I'm yet to have a fruity pear vape turn out well.
Hello, sorry for the late reply! It's a great flavor, I don't have anything to recommend, but here are the flavor notes from the sidebar: https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/5yxsv8/inw_pear/
And this page lists 37 recipes that uses it: https://alltheflavors.com/flavors/inawera-pear
Is INW Biscuit kind of like a custard flavor? I added 2% to my RY4/AP mix and I think I'm enjoying it, but sometimes i get this off taste that reminds me of Cap VC1 which (unfortunately) I really disliked when i tried it.
Gonna add a little tfa vanilla swirl to try and offset this.
2% seems a bit high in my opinion. If the vanilla swirl can get you through the batch you have mixed now, next time maybe try it at .5%.
It’s not like a custard it’s like a biscuit and their custard like a custard and unless you’re in UK where u guys like ALOT OF FLAVOR most of Ina flavors are .5 starting work your way up you can always add can’t subtract... UK I guess start at 2 and work your way up 😬
Anyone have a good guideline for a cinnamon bun flavor? I made one years ago but lost my notes. I was thinking something like:
CAP Sugar Cookie (4%ish)
FW Hazelnut (1-2%)
FW Joy (maybe like. 50%)
FLV Rich Cinnamon (0.5%, to taste)
Not sure what else. I don't have a cream cheese frosting flavor really. I have quite a few flavors in my collection, so I'm all ears!
Hey guys!
I'm in Hungary and I have a lot of trouble finding nic bases online. Any suggestions?
Hi Gonda, I use Lucemill in Scotland as I live in the UK. I've no idea how much shipping will be, probably horrendous but you might be able to ask your chemist to order you some bottles of PG/VG. I know that isn't much information but I hope it helps all the same.
Is FA - Red Touch (strawberry) the same thing as FA - Strawberry?
Hmmm... gonna say no bcuz I have both but I may be wrong. Probably best way to find out is go on their site and now that I remember when I was there and there was no distinction I have to say they’re the same. Thoroughly confused 😩😂, for clarification I’m saying yes they’re the same...;)
Can’t find the new one so hope someone is here, haaa. Ok, I was on Inawera’s site and why are their flavors 1300zl and that’s over $300 and change US dollars lol ...what am I missing? 1 flavor lol ffs! And can someone tell me where to get all the flavors the whole Ina website has in USA plzz specifically the black currant, black berries n mint, red berries n mint, anise, pink panther, pineapple, Mississippi, and more but at the very least those if anyone knows and more in the range of $3-6 a 10ml 🤑...;)
Hey all,
I'm super new to vaping in general. I found a juice that I really love called Ghostberry. After sampling a 30ml bottle I decided to go all in to a 100ml bottle of it, bought from the company's website. Unfortunately I must have made a mistake in purchasing it as I received a 0mg bottle of it instead of the 3mg concentration I need. So sorry if this is a dumb question but since the site I ordered it from does not do exchanges, can I just add nic to my bottle to make it as it should be? Or can you not do that to premade juices?
I'm also super new, but go to http://www.steam-engine.org/juice.html and see the how you can alter the juice.
But i think it boils down to adding some nicotine to it, and depending on the strength mg/ml of the shot, the PG or VG of the shot eg. if the shot is 100mg/ml 50/50 PG/VG and the juice is 50/50 VG/PG you have to add 3ml of nicotine shot and hope it doesn't alter it too much. But if your liquid is other PG/VG ratio or the shot is pg only consult steam-engine
Yes you can. As long as you haven't already vaped some of the ejuice you can use an eliquid calculator to determine how much to add to get your desired Nic strength. Be aware of the following: 100mg Nicotine is a very dangerous poison so using gloves and safety glasses is recommended when mixing. Nicotine can be absorbed in the skin so you can poison yourself quite badly, avoid getting Nicotine concentrate on your bare skin at all costs. If you don't want to buy specialised gloves, dish washing gloves can do just fine and they have long protective sleeves. Depending on the carrier (VG or PG), nicotine can be hard to mix. I cut a wood barbecue skewer in three equal pieces and fix them in the chich of a drill and mix in the bottle that way. If you try and mix in the original bottle, it might be near impossible since the bottle is most likely filled to the top so you'd have to think of transfering it carfully in a sterile container. Once mixed, you could load the excess in a tank and pour the rest back into the bottle. If you had a small funnel, it could make it easier. Good luck. I use e liquid recipes website as a mixing calculator. If you have a food scale handy, I strongly recommend mixing by weight rather than volume. It is much more accurate in my experience.
