Super Duper Strawberry 🍓
submitted over 7 years ago by AwesomeDave84

This is the first mix that I ever made successfully without a recipe just using flavor notes. Just wanted to share with all.

http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/2427094/Super%20Duper%20Strawberry

If I remember correctly I got my flavor notes from DIYorDie on YouTube.

Breaking it down: I knew that if I mixed Cap sweet strawberry with TFA strawberry ripe that I would get a more authentic strawberry. And that's just what I wanted to start with.
I wanted to make it a little more creamy and smooth so I added the Cap vanilla bean ice cream.
I added flavor Arts marshmallow to just give it a little more sweetness and fluff. The sucralose was really a take-it-or-leave-it my wife was vaping on one of the little cig-a-like clearomizer at 2 ohms, so it needed a little help for the flavor.
The whole thing was pretty good but not great. Then I learned if you add a little raspberry it makes the strawberry really pop. And that's where the Cap raspberry came in.

If you are sub ohming (I'm sure most of you are), I would probably cut each flavor percentage almost in half.

That’s a whopping 9% sweetener there. FA Marshmallow and CAP Sweet Strawberry are both loaded with Ethyl maltol, and you’ve gone and added a full 1% of sucralose on top of that!

Personally, if I were to mix this, using your same ingredients, it would look more like this:

CAP S. Strawberry- 0.5%
CAP VBIC- 1.0%
CAP Rasberry- 0.5%
FA Marshmallow - 0.5%
TPA Strawberry(R)- 2.0%
CAP sucralose- >0.25%

If you like strawberries, I would recommend picking up FA redtouch, INW Shisha Strawberry, JF Sweet Strawberry, and TPA Dragonfruit.

Thank you for that tidbit. I will be sure to put the FA redtouch, INW shisha strawberry and the JF sweet strawberry on my next order. I actually just received the TPA dragon fruit and am currently messing around with it. Very tasty stuff!

Dragonfruit is an amazing second fiddle, it can completely transform a fruit base with its tart and sweet notes. I love using it with berries and melons, although I generally use INW Dragonfruit for non-Strawberry applications.

Is there any major differences between the INW and the TPA dragonfruit?

You have to get the red touch and try it out. It is absolutely my favorite strawberry and mixes nicely with Strawberry Ripe.

I will definitely be trying your suggested recipe as well

Great constructive criticism. The amount of Maltol in botg strawberries, coupled with the marshmallow and the sweetener and its MUTE city. I wouldn't taste much strawberry here at all.

I'm really digging that RF onedrop strawberry flavoring too. Been subbing out the TFA for other latley.

Have you single flavored the RF one drop?

Please add some development notes or if you don't want to do that, just move this over to the monthly recipe thread.

Thanks

TFA: I mix ripe pretty stiff at 7% but no other 🍓 added

Pre-steeped Bavarian Cream + VBIC at 3.5% (although it's cut 3/4 vg) so really 1%

Get the best of both worlds when you keep the fresh, fresh. And mature the base.

I used to round out the cream with 1% fa Vienna + 0.5% fresh cream, but skipped once I got the ice cream.

Looks interesting. You should also post it in the June recipe sticky thread, you might win mix of the month!

I'm not familiar with recipe sticky thread

It's at the top of the main page in green writing. You don't have to, just saying...

Do you know how to get to it from the Android app? I am not seeing it

Not sure why you assume most of us sub ohm but ok 🤔

It's was a rash assumption. I I bounce back and forth with it. My bad

I can't taste Caps Raspberry. So a .5% boost with it seems useless (to me lol). I will be trying your tip tho (SB+RB), thanks for that.

The raspberry is only in there to boost the strawberry flavor. If you add to much it would have given it a raspberry layer I didn't want.

Yeah, I understand. I'll try your tip with something other than CAP or PUR Raspberry. It's really weird, they both taste like sweet airy nothingness to me.
