OK mixers, this is your thread to ask any questions you want of the DIY eJuice community. All posts are allowed, but we still encourage you to use the sidebar and search features before asking any questions.
- Placing your first DIY order and want to make sure you have all you need?
- Not sure about how to mix your first bottle?
- Want to get started but aren't sure how?
- Any other questions? ... then this is the thread for you. FWIW, the answers to the first three questions will eventually be found in the wiki (still in development); link at the top of the page.
Ask away!
One thing im noticing with my DIY mixes is they dont seem to wick as nicely and are a less smooth than commercial juices i have been buying at the same vg/pg ratio. Now when i say smooth, i dont neccessarily mean not-harsh, but more of the sensation of a "smooth draw" and vapor production. Hopefully im wording that correctly to relay my point.
For Instance with the commercial juice i can just chain rip after rip no tightness in the draw. WIth my diy mixes its seems i can only get 2 or so rips to vapor production goes down and it almost seems im about to dry hit. Im guessing this is gonna be attributed to wicking?
Now a info for the puzzle....
Essential Depot VG&PG
Amerinic NIC (PG)
Flavorings by TPA,CAP,FLV,INW, mainly
Mix by weight lb501
Kylin Mini RTA
Mixes come to 70/30, same as the commercial juices i have been using.
Mixes are mainly recipes i found on ATF. Havent really delved into self exploration yet. I search tastes i like and sort by reviews and shoot for ones with 4-5 stars. A couple PB mixes, Tony's Revenge, a straw/lemonade, and some others. Tony's seems to work better than the others so far as far as that "smoothness of draw" goes. Everything been steeped a good week+. I have been mixing recipe's pretty much exact w/out subbing for the most part except maybe an oddball. All seem to react the same way.
Now i know the RTA is a finicky beast to wick right but im fairly decent with it. Like i said, i chain rip after rip of the commercial juice and switch over to the DIY (without rebuilding) and immediately notice the difference. Finish of the tank and switch back to commercial and chain away.
Is it possibly the Essential Depot stuff or maybe just the flavorings used in the mixes? Im a complete newb to diy mixing so just trying to get some ideas where to look. Or is the commercial juice is just steeped so long that it all coagulates and emulsifies into a thing of wicking beauty after awhile? Are the commercial guys throwing additives or cutting with water or something? Just throwing ideas around...
Sorry for the novel, wanted to throw background info.
Almost all sweeteners contain a fair amount of water and most commercial juices have more sweetener than DIY. The 0.75% SS in Tony's might be getting you closest to your commercial liquids. You could either try 60/40 VG/PG to see how that affects your wicking or put a few drops of distilled water in the bottle and work your way up.
Ahhhhh the sweeteners contain cuts. Makes sense cuz everything commercial i like is junk food for sure. You can see the difference in the thickness of "70/30" side by side in the bottle.
I was going to throw a little DW in there and see what happens....just havent made it to the store yet.
I did throw a different style of wick in yesterday which is working much better. Surprisingly for how stupid it looks.
thank you for posting. your take on DIY is an interesting one and to me is totally out of alignment with what others have to say about their own efforts and results regarding their mixes. personally I've only had good results playing with flavors and I'm reaping the benefits of cost savings versus when I was paying the premium price for "premium juice". this sub is small but it's fucking full of wealth when it comes to DIY. I
All my mixes feel dry/muted. At shake and vape and after a week of steeping. Ive tried adding CAP SS to some mixes varying from 0.1%-0.5% and it helps a little but still very underwelming. I would like to make something closer to a commercial juice when it comes to flavour brightness. Any advice that wont also murder my coils?
What are the recipes? Sweetener isn’t going to make your mixes less dry and more flavorful.
Part of it is just getting used to diy juice. It took me a couple of months for my palate to adjust. I haven't tried Best Damn Pink Lemonade or POG Remix. I did try various strawberry and cream mixes with high ratings and it wasn't getting it done for me either. Two that worked for me even in the beginning were Darren Cole's original Lemon Tart, a Dinner Lady Remix and Element Pink Lemonade Clone My ADV by Micah, both on ELR. This was before my Reddit and ATF days. If you sort ELR by rating you will find both of those on the first page. Both were flavorful, juicy and delicious even when I was still used to commercial juices. And they are both flavorful and delicious now that I am used to DIY. The difference now is I enjoy a range of other DIY juice as well and can't stand the commercial stuff anymore. Give them a try and then give your palate time to adjust and soon you'll be enjoying all kinds of DIY recipes, even ones with only 4 or 5% flavoring. Good luck!
PS Both recipes have a long list of ingredients! Buy them all with no regrets and no substitutions! Edit: One substitution that is ok in the Lemon Tart is FA Custard instead of Custard Pi. Forgot about that one!
Hello guys,
I need help with mixing recipes in alltheflavors.com. Every time I mix a recipe, it seems like the result is not what is described by the mixer and in the reviews. I’m not in the US so I buy my supplies in a local reseller who repackages the concentrates. I’m starting to think that the problem is with the repacking. Is it possible that the concentrates’ tastes change upon repacking?
I’ve tried mixing God’s Milk by SkiddlzNinja, Smooth Morning Kick, and Sadlad Toast Crunch. I’m not a fan of strawberries but my friends liked God’s Milk. The Smooth Morning Kick was something I looked forward to but after steeping, I didn’t like how it tasted. It was supposed to be a coffee vape but it tasted more like coffee cake or tiramisu. The Sadlad Toast Crunch was a little bit sour when I tasted it. There might be something wrong with my concentrates.
Earlier, I was thinking of mixing (a little bit sweet) peanut so I’ve tried to mix a simple recipe with FA Almond at 2% and TFA Vanilla Cupcake at 2.5%. It’s a little bit heavy on the nose but the flavor is light. I didn’t like it. I’ll keep this for a few days and try again.
Anyway, I’ve listed all my concentrates below if anyone is kind enough to suggest a recipe. I like (black) coffee, (sweet) almond/peanuts, and mangoes. I’m kind of desperate to mix something that I like and that can be my ADV. The local reseller from where I’m from does not carry Flavorah concentrates unfortunately so I can’t mix some recipes I like to try in alltheflavors.
FA Almond TPA Bavarian Cream CAP Cereal 27 TPA Cheesecake (graham Crust) CAP Cinnamon Danish Swirl FA Cream Fresh FA Dark Bean (coffee Espresso) TPA Dragonfruit FW Graham Cracker FA Hazel Grove (hazelnut) FA Marzipan FA Milk Condensed TPA Philippine Mango TPA Pie Crust TPA Rice Crunchies TPA Strawberry TPA Strawberry (ripe) CAP Sweet Cream TPA Tiramisu TPA Toasted Marshmallow CAP Vanilla Cupcake TPA Vanilla Swirl FA Vienna Cream
If your friends like what you've made might it be that you're just more picky than them? I'm frequently disappointed with recipes that people rave about and I haven't found many yet that I would want to make in large quantities.
that's the thing. I mix for myself and two others. I know what I like but when it comes to what they like we're limited with just words. I like to make 3ml random sample batches, put a label on it, then ask them to rate it on how yummy it was.
I'm not sure, but just some "out of the box" ideas for why it doesn't taste right, your mod/tank could not be bringing enough flavor out or different coils not producing flavor (I've had this issue, could only barely taste most recipes), or it could be that you're not steeping. Lots of flavors need time. I know when I got my first eliquid order, I put it in my tank as soon as I shook it, and it was AWFUL. Ugh (unicorn vomit at that, still can't try that one again yet) then I learned most flavors need at least a week, and a month to be absolutely perfect. (Although few recipes/flavors will have a sweet spot and sometime be worse after a month and only need a few days.) I know dessert and cream flavors need lots of steeping time.
Not sure what it is but just some things I've experienced. Hope it helps.
Could I ask where you are? Also, what are you using for nicotine, VG, and PG? This could be making a huge difference.
Hi, I’m from Philippines. My PG and VG were imported from Malaysia or Indonesia. My Nic was imported from US. Not sure how true is this. My local reseller told me this. For some mix I created, I didn’t use nicotine.
I just checked TPA website. They do list someone in the Philippines that is a trusted reseller. Of course, this only applies to TFA/TPA products. Juicesir is their name. I am sure you can easily go to their website. Seems they carry many products. Hope that helps you.
Okay... I'm a noob at DIY ejuice so I think it's a good idea for me to ask here.
I have 500ml of 70/30 VG/PG with 6mg nic and 10ml each of dragon fruit(tpa), kiwi(capella) and strawberry flavor(tfa). I am a big fan of the dragon fruit(just love the smell and taste of it) and was wondering what a good mix of the three would be?
Also, how long will it need to steep? Is 1 week enough?
Try this:
-
TPA Dragonfruit @ 3 %
-
CAP Kiwi @ 1 %
-
TFA Strawberry @ 4 %
Keep in mind that you won’t really be pulling any Kiwi flavor out of CAP Kiwi.
Thank you! Will try this as soon as I get home. How long does it need to steep or is it shake and vape?
Can I also ask what the differences are between CAP and TFA?
Going to order some nic salts this week for my MTL device I’ve been loving lately.
Any differences noticed changing recipes for higher strength such as 45mg? Or tips in general mixing with nic salts?
What is rhe best Naked POG clone out there right now? I was going to try out the one by gwandrei, anyone try it?
I prefer the diy or die version. That said, I haven't tried the original so don't know how close to the original it is.
So I like pineapple and I like "melons", but I know theres at least 1 of each flavoring that I absolutely hate and the commercial juice makers abuse the fuck out it. The pineapple flavor that I hate has a really light, airy taste, and smells super pissy. It reaks. It's also so smooth that it tickles my throat and makes me cough like I am choking on it. It also smells fucking pissy. Maybe dirty saliva. Naked's Maui Sun has it. It's horrible.
The melon that I hate is in every commercial melon juice ever. You can smell it from a mile away and theres no hiding this weird, hamster cage type of smell/taste. It always steeps into a dark orange. Even if the flavor profile is "honeydew". It's in Naked's Green Blast and Predator's Abyss and everything else. However the "melon" in Predator's Malevolent is absolutely amazing and I wish to know what it is.
Can anyone help me identify which these flavorings are? I'm afraid to buy more melons and pineapples. Im currently puffing on Cap Golden Pineapple and it's definitely not the pissy pineapple. The melon especially is hard for me to nail down just by reading other people's recipes and notes. Sometimes I'm confident that it's a cantaloupe, but sometimes I think it's honeydew. It really tastes like neither. Hamster cage is what it tastes like.
sorry I can't add to your post, contribute in any way, nor advise in any fashion, I just wanted to say I thoroughly enjoyed reading your love hate relationship with melons, pineapples, and hamster cages. you made my night tonight and I hope you find whatever it is you're looking for, haha
*edit- oh, I love deads and squats are king.
The pineapple sounds like TFA Pineapple, just from others opinions... I actually enjoy it, but then again I am somewhat of a masochist with a high tolerance for pain and I'll eat and enjoy pretty much any shitty meal. FWIW, I'd assume you're dealing with TFA Pineapple. As for the melon, I haven't experienced the hamster cage taste so I can't say.
Thank you for your pineapple wisdom.
I just came across this thread and noticed they are using TFA Honeydew as their only melon. I also know people use that honeydew for Honey Pearry clones. Honey Peary is definitely not hamster cage, but I know for a fact that Green Blast is. Honey Pearry steeps into a greenish color and Green Blast goes dark orange. So hard.

I knew a girl that smelled like a hamster cage once. She was super hot and smart, but her hair always smelled like hamsters. It was very conflicting.
I'd like to meet this girl. hamsters are cute. my kids had two but I asked the guys to give me two of the same gender. well they fucked up and gave me one of each. the guy hamster was all over the girl one each and everyday fucking the shit out of her and my kids were like, "look! they're doing it again. daddy, what are they doing?" I ended up taking the female one back cuz I told them I didn't want to care for a million baby hamsters and you guys fucked up. anyway, he passed and we buried him with a little grave stone out back. my kids surprisingly moved on much faster than I expected. so thank god for that. it was a sad day though when my son's goldfish went belly up
Ive seen fresh03 uses fa blackcurrant or apricot to make strawberries "pop". FA Blackcurrant is amazing at 0.5% and works for straws. Can this be used good for Raspberries too? to brighten them of thicken them? Or is there some other additive that is better for raspberries?
I don't know about pop, but a lot of flavors complement raspberry well, such as blackcurrant (not FA, try INW or MB), blackberry and blueberry. The best raspberry I've found is combining 3% TFA Raspberry Sweet with 0.5% INW Raspberry (Molina).
Thanks. I had some luck with 2-3 Cap Raspberry v2 with FA Raspberry 1.5% - 0.5% fa blackcurrant seem to blend good but more raspberry jam. lol. which is quite usefully actually. Maybe I have to get hold of that INW Rasp for a brighter one.
You know what else works really well with INW Raspberry? FLV Boysenberry. Brings both brightness and earth.
First time posting here, told to use this thread for questions!
So I just switched to 0 nic, like a week ago. I had been on 0.5 nic for a few months, down from 1.5, and that switch wasn't difficult at all! But I'm having trouble with 0 nic, mainly because of the lack of throat hit. Anyone had a similar experience? Would it help if I use more PG? I'm currently doing 70/30. Thanks!

Are there any good wintergreen flavours on the market? I absolutely love the taste of it.
Have been using VTA flavours. Namely Golden Syrup, Butterscotch, and Honeycomb. I hate to say it but they ruin any mix I put them into. I usually use them at 2-4% recommended ranges. The texture gets flattened, the flavours in any mix disappear and get diluted. Has anyone had issues like these? I mix with the usuals, TFA, FW FA and FLV
I'm switching from mixing by volume to mixing by weight. I need a lot of plastic dropper tips that fit over the mouth of 10/30ml BCF bottles. I think they're called uncontrolled dropper tips. Has anyone ever had to buy these before? Are these the right size?
FYI they charge you a small order fee of $10, so it would take a lot of tips before that dropped off. You should probably email BCF and see if they’ll sell you some or tell you what size will fit. I’ve replaced the tip on a few BCF bottles with tips I got from Dropperbottles. They sell 100 caps and tips for $6, so less than the small order fee from C&P.

I'm about to buy my flavors and mix my first diy juice. I have compiled an excel spreadsheet of recipes from ATF and ELR with a total of 25 highly recommended/voted/popular recipes (5-ATF, 6-ATF&ELR, 14-ELR) Which tells me I need to purchase 69 different flavors. I was reading each recipe for comments on subs so I don't have to buy one flavor that only is for one recipe but I've came to the realization that these super popular recipes are from well known mixers and the flavor in the recipe is there for a reason and almost a slap in the face to the mixer even asking about subs after they have shared their amazing creation. So now I'm just looking at total percentage of use per each flavor and determining what size ml to get. Using a cost average of 10ml bottles gives me $0.28/ml, or $193.20 just in flavors...
My question is, do you think this is the best approach to my first attempt to mixing?
I can tell you are taking this way too seriously.
The correct question to ask is "Do I want to spend 193.20 on flavorings at one time?" If yes then go for shit if no then don't. I didn't have that much money to blow on it right off the bat but I would if I could have.
Most people don't but flavorings for 25 different recipes to start but, like i said, if you can then go for it.
It's definitely a better approach than mine. I wish I had put as much time in as you before buying flavorings. I am now up to 75 flavors and there isn't a whole lot I can make, it seems. ELR says I can make like 1900 recipes, which I was super stoked for, but what I didnt know was that 1000 was strawberry creams, 400 Strawberry custard, 200 strawberry cheesecake, 200 DiyOrDie reposts, 95 shit, and 5 lesser shit. On ATF I get 4 pages of recipes and it's a little bit more diverse, but not by a whole lot.
So I guess keep doing what youre doing. Make sure theres some diversity in your selections and get used to owning like 6 brands of the same flavor. It is my biggest cockblock.
Just remember that ELR has a ton of shit reviews. Check the year the recipes were posted and keep in mind that the older recipes could be way off percentage wise.
I've read that a lot of ELR recipes are shit but I sort by high star and lots of comments along with favoring mixers with a large following. Would those be a safe bet or even highly rated recipes still shit?
Well, it's a crap shoot really. Although, ones with a lot of comments can tend to be better than others. Don't get me wrong, there are some gems on there that have no ratings at all. Honestly, I find this subreddit to be much more valuable for finding nice recipes. There is a thread each week where you can list your flavorings and people will make suggestions as to what you can make. YouTube is also a pretty good place.
I think if u dig around here almost every recipe posted is good. But, if you go to the flavor of the months for example...wow, so many every month and you can go back every month for several years. Then, there’s best of the year and I can’t think of what all now but what I do is search for a flavor and then you happen upon great stuff by accident, old posts w recipe dumps from some of the OG mixers and just fun stuff that’s great to find! Then maybe instead of 25 recipes, start out w 10 if $200 is too much, if it isn’t get used to it because if u think you’re doing this to save $, think again ! Haaaaa. In theory, yes, but hopefully u have time and are looking for a new hobby to make your brain hurt so good 😩😂...welcome! Also, 10 mls are fine to start. If you want to get 15’s that’s fine too, but maybe wait to get 30’s and larger until you get a chance to experiment and really decide what your favorite Strawberry, custard, creams, fruits and tobacco preferences are... remember more is less in Diy ejuice, it can take 1 drop of many concentrates to flavor 30 ml of juice. Get a few cheap clones to drip and use for testing and stock up on bottles. Many 10, 15, 20ml plastic and many 30ml glass Boston round I think they’re called 🤔w the glass dropper inside and get several nail polish racks and a desk.. 😬
What is the best Green apple flavor? also is there some consensus on a flavor additive to "brighten" re fruits like rasps and straws? Thanks
FA Fuji tastes rather green to me, and it's pretty bright and lively as far as apples go. Otherwise TFA Green Apple is decent, but I haven't compared it to any other brands.
This FOTW thread has a decent list of apples and their descriptions, otherwise this (older) thread has some other info along with some recipes and inspiration.
Looking for a good beginners kit. Also maybe some tips/good flavors. I've never made a bottle of juice yet but watched some tutorials. I like fruit flavors but unsure of what brands to go with. Any advice will be appreciated!
Our sidebar here is a great resource for beginners. There’s lots of info there.
Kits are not recommended. Just piece together what you need. Start out mixing by weight, not volume. You’ll need to get a scale that measures down to 0.01 g and does not have an auto-shutoff.
Look up some highly rated recipes in this sub and on the website All The Flavors. Once you have a few that sound good to you, order only those flavors found in those recipes to start out with.
this is solid advice. do yourself a favor and put a digital scale on top priority of your initial order. steer clear of kits because they're bundled with crap you'll never use. learn more and visualize what equipment you'll need to mix your first bottle. and put bottles on your buy list. find some recipes that look good to you and you'll quickly see flavors in that recipe can be used to make other juices. but know when a recipe calls for like TFA Strawberry you can't blindly substitute it for a CAP strawberry or an LA strawberry. and did I say buy bottles? don't rush it. take your time and order everything you need and you'll enjoy mixing on your first try. and buy some bottles. and some amber boston rounds with drip caps to freeze your nic
Does anyone have the weight per ml of 72mg salt nic in pg? Just picked some up to try out
I think the specific gravity of nic salts might vary depending on composition, so you'd either need to measure it yourself or ask the manufacturer. For freebase nic, it's 1.035984 g/ml by my calculations, the difference probably isn't significant.
Thanks for the reply. I am waiting to hear back from the manufacturer so hopefully that will clear it up! I don't have anything to accurately measure 1ml here otherwise I would have done that. Thanks again
Hey guys, I just picked up 200ml of nicotine and was wondering what the best was was to store it?
This post is pretty old, so don't mind the bits about the vendors much, but there is a section regarding storage that tells you everything you need to know.
Trying to get into mixing my own juice as I'm bored of paying 5 pounds per 10 ml of Liquid. I'm just finding it very confusing.
I usually buy 75/25 VG/PG with 6mg of nicotine. I get 10ml bottles and I like fruity flavours.
I've looked at various sites and calculators, and now I'm baffled
Help me please
What about it do you find confusing?
Nicotine, which is best to buy. what equipment to buy, ive found that different calculators use different mesurements.
And generally what to buy to achive what I normally have
Any help (if what I said makes sense) would be greatly appriciated
Nicotine I've bought from Nicotine River and DIY-ejuice. Both were good in my opinion. I've heard of brands like nude nicotine which are popular. You can get the nicotine in different concentrations such as 48mg/mL and 100mg/mL. Doesn't really matter which you buy. You can achieve a higher VG ratio in your mix if you get the 100mg concentration but you'll be fine with 48mg. You can also choose if you want your nicotine to come in a PG solution or a PG/VG mix. I recommend going with a pure PG solution because it's easier to shake to make sure your nicotine is evenly mixed throughout, and it's just easier to work with.
For equipment, get a scale. It's easy to mix by weight. Recipe sites will have measurements to mix by weight and volume. I've only ever mixed by weight and it's great because there is less cleanup since everything goes straight into the bottle. Everyone and myself will recommend you an American Weigh LB-501 scale. Besides the scale you need bottles. I'd go for a few 30mL and 60 mL "boston rounds". You need something to transfer the nicotine. I use 3mL disposable pipettes. To transfer the VG, I use a 500mL "HDPE" bottle and pour it straight into my mix (cautiously).
You should maybe also buy some PG. Honestly, I rarely use my PG since the flavors and nic are in PG themselves, and I usually get around 75/25 anyway. Not a bad idea to have some on hand, but you probably won't need a lot.
You definitely need to buy VG if that wasn't already obvious. Oh and disposable gloves for handling the nic.
As for flavors, find a couple reputable recipes you think you'll like and order those flavors. Don't try to get experimental on your first try.
Hopefully that helps a bit. Things will all make sense soon enough, and you'll be saving a lot of money. If you need more info or clarification, don't hesitate.
I’d also suggest getting small bottles to rebottle your nic in the freezer for storage and full to the brim. No air.
S/he mentioned pounds so I assume they will only be able to get 10ml nic shots.
I placed my order and should have all my items by the end of this week!
My friend has his own juice company, and mentioned that he uses (100MG/ML NIC/PG), and recommend that I get that for maximizing the VG in my juice juice. This was a while ago, so I'm hoping that I remembered that correctly.
When using a calculator (Vape tool pro - ect ) to determine end results I'm getting slightly confused about exactly how to get the ratio correct.
I want to use the max VG possible, but take into account the PG from nicotine.
( I apologize for inconsistencies this is my first time trying to convey my thoughts )
For max VG, you'd simply add the nic and flavors as necessary, then the rest is just VG. This will usually land you between 80% and 90% VG, depending on the recipe and how strong you want the nic.
I know ATF can correct you to the correct percentage, otherwise I'd probably just mix the VG last and top off the bottle with enough headspace for shaking/steeping. I wouldn't worry much about decimals, you'll still maintain the profile if you're off a gram or so of VG.
max VG is just a term stating that after all the PG in your flavorings including the PG in your nic have been mixed up you only use VG to finish the recipe, thus maxing it out. if you seriously want to max out VG then you would use a nic based in VG. you're gonna need to shake the shit out of it though! I use a low concentrate of nic in PG because I don't want to worry about hot spots and I simply can't get higher concentrates shipped to me using USPS air mail. make an account on ELR and you'll be set. on your adapted recipes, check the box for max VG and the calculator will do the math for you
After reviewing my order, I actually got VG based nicotine.. I'm slightly concerned about the mixture / steeping process because of that reason. Shaking the shite outta it.
sounds like you're set to go max VG. be sure to shake the living shit out of the bottle every time you go to use it and you'll be fine. don't forget to shake the bottle. did I mention to shake the bottle? shake it again because you should. okay, I'm done. gotta get ready for work, ughhh
Did you order a scale? Assuming you are planning to mix by weight. Mixing by volume can be such a pain, and it's hard to get the kind of accuracy you need to have recipes come out as they are intended to. If you aren't planning to mix by weight, read the sidebar first, and reconsider.
edit: search mixing by weight. I guess some things have been moved.
I did not order a scale because I already had one, well two. Problem I ran into is that one has a Max weight of 100g, but accurate to a thousandth. While the other has a Max weight of 11 lbs, but does not show any decimals. So I'm probably going to have to order one.
I mixed up Dazcoles Thai coconut ice cream recipe and even after a long steep I’m getting hardly any flavor or body off of it. Has anyone else had this issue? It has great reviews on ATF and I feel like I’m doing something wrong
I haven't tried that one yet, but sometimes bumping your wattage up a bit helps bring out more flavor and highlights different notes. Decreasing airflow can also help make a flavor taste more intense. Have you re-wicked/changed your coil?
Assuming you mathed and measured everything correctly, I would try the above. It could also just be that your taste buds aren't as receptive to the flavors in the mix.
Yes I did all those things as well as rewicked several times and played with wattage and airflow. The only other culprit I could think of is that my bottle of fa caramel is about two years old but I still can’t taste much of the other flavors. I just find it bizarre because TFA VBIC is usually a heavy creamy flavor for me. You may be right about my taste buds, which is a little disappointing as I really wanted to like this one.
I vaped maybe 100ml of that recipe and generally had a good experience. It could possibly be your caramel being older. How long did you steep for? I had two bottles that I mixed, one short and one long. If I remember correctly the long steep had slightly smoothed out flavor and less intense coconut.
I would have been vaping that juice on a wasp nano with full open airflow and a fused clapton build. Also would have mixed the juice at 70% vg with fresh bottles of concentrates.
I'm not sure if I've had flavors go mute/bad over time. I have some that are probably 3 years old that I'm still using. However they are darker colored than the new bottles of those flavors I have. My oldest stuff is all in glass and is mostly untouched so it may have held up better over time.
I let it steep for about 5 days. I vaped it on the dead rabbit too which usually gives me good flavor. I may reorder that caramel and give it another try. Thanks!
Thought I could add that I remember the flavor profile being mostly a creamy caramel body with hints of coconut. For me at least it was most caramel and cream centered with the coconut being more of an accent. That's from memory though, I haven't vaped it in a month or two probably but I do remember thinking about mixing a variation that was more coconut centered.
I want to try a new menthol along with my refill order of WS23. I did not care for Arctic winter, think I’ve used it up to 1.5%. Probably the best menthol juice I’ve tried is Mr. Freeze Watermelon menthol, a somewhat local juice and it has a very mediciney taste that I really like, along with being as cold as my WS23. So I’m missing the intense menthol taste.
I'm having trouble sourcing WS-23. where are you getting your's?
https://www.chefsflavours.co.uk/additives/5091-ws-23.html#/9-size-100ml
Have only ordered it once but from here. Yes they ship to America and I think it’s still the best deal, I haven’t compared anywhere else yet though since like last year.
Try FA polar blast. I've heard good things about it. I heard (coz i dont have both atm) that ws23 is cool on the inhale while polar blast is cool on the exhale.
Hi, some friends and me love the famous recipe grack juice! And as we differ in the nicotine strenght (some 0, some 3 , some 6, some 9 ,etc). I was wondering if i could make a large batch like a liter or more (without nicotine, just Flavours PG and VG) and then divide it in smaller bottles (For example 30ml bottles) and just add the nicotine at last. The only problem that i found is that you will have more than 30ml beacuse if you make the liter with 0 nicotine , you enter x amount of propylene glycol . Afterwards, if you add for example the amount of nicotine needed for the liquid to be 9 mg/ml, There will be an excess of propylene glycol as the nicotine is diluted in PG. Do you know if it makes a big difference or if you know another method ? All this problem is because is very difficult to get to nicotine here in uruguay so we cant make a liter with 3mg a liter with 6mg, etc. Thank you very much! PD: Sorry for my english, im from Uruguay (yeah little country in south america where vaping is not seen good :( )
I saw and answered this in your earlier solo post. I don't really wanna retype it all but... Figure out what the highest nic version you want to make is. Make your liter at that concentration, only don't add the nic. You can then add a combo of nic and/or PG to the individual bottles to get the nic levels right and still get the PG ratio you want.
Is there a calculator out there like "E-juice me up" that has inputs for Nic Salts? Or, what are the equivalents between nic salts and freebase?
example: 6mg freebase level in 30ml of ejuice equals what in 30ml of ejuice with nic salts?
I use 100mg/ml freebase nic now (PG base).
I've been attempting to clone a juice I like and have been playing with the flavors.
Right now I'm using 4% BB Wild, 2% BB Extra, 4% Vanilla Swirl and .25% INW Raspberry. Raspberry still seems to dominate the flavor, does this flavor just need a good wait to settle down? Also, does anyone think a small percentage of Cactus might work in this recipe?
INW Cactus is only going to add to the weirdness. If anything, back off the INW Razz or just give it another week or two to steep. It is a very strong flavor.
Alright, I figured it would be strange but you never know. I think I'll just cut out the raspberry altogether. Maybe a tiny bit of dragon fruit would fit well.
TFA Dragonfruit sounds like an excellent choice, I like it's texture at higher percentages as well as an additive at lower percentages. You could always try a different raspberry too, Inawera isn't for everyone. TFA Raspberry Sweet is decent IMO.
I've tried various clones of Boss Reserve and really enjoy the flavour profile so I decided to try Folkart's Reserve next but the flavour seems to be quite weak. Now I want to keep the same profile as Folkart's, should I double to ingredients? That sounds like too much AP in there.. any pointers would help.
