New eLiquid Mixer App - [e-Liquid-Lab app](https://e-liquid-lab.herokuapp.com/)
submitted over 7 years ago by andreagulp

Hi, I have created a web app to help me with creating and managing eLiquid recipes and flavors. You can access the app at this link e-Liquid-Lab.

There are many of these apps out there, just none did really do all I wanted...but also I'm an hobbyist programmer, so i enjoy creating stuff.

At the moment you can :

  • create recipe for mixing
  • mix recipe. This will subtract the amount of eliquid was used from your inventory
  • add flavors to your inventory
  • alert if your flavor is being consumed and goes below a threshold you define.
  • It does have a small dashboard that shows metrics about recipe production and flavors usage.
  • have private (visible only to you) or shared (visible to all) recipes.
  • fork existing recipes

I have more features (like comments from users and stepping alert), I plan to add. However, I'd like to get a bit of feedback about the app as it stands now and understand which features you would like to have.

I'd really appreciate this community help and feedback.

Ooi what language do you use?

If you are asking about programming language: it uses JavaScript back (express, mongo) and front (react, redux)

The slider colors make it hard to see the values. White text on cyan background does not provide enough contrast.

The choices available during Flavor editing are CANCEL, EDIT and DELETE. Using EDIT instead of (OK or ACCEPT CHANGES) is confusing.

The entire design is not keyboard friendly.

thanks for your input. please let me know what makes it difficult. Although is not a native app, it should be fully responsive and work well on mobile device

The entire window moves when moving the sliders. I’m going to see if forcing desktop mode works

Thank you! That definitely needs improvement, works ok with larger screens, but on mobile its a poorer experience.
