VAPE TRAIN BLUEBERRY JAM
DISCLAIMER: These are my personal notes that I am sharing with the community & all palates are different.
SETUP: Tobhino RDA N80 3x28G 38G Alien 2.5mm 0.25 Ohms 45 Watts
Testing Info: Steeped 14 days, Tested freshly mixed and after 14 days Mixed @ 4% 70/30
VT'S DESCRIPTION: "sweet blue jam flavour that can be used in bakery, candy, fruit, dessert e-liquid recipes."
NOTES: Tested on back of hand after mixing it tasted very blueberry candy like with some tartness. Aftertaste was like a blueberry powder candy like a pixie stick. After it steeped for 2 weeks I tried vaping it. It taste a lot like VT Strawberry Jam. Like a blueberry hard candy with a chewy center. I also really coats the tongue like the aforementioned VT Strawberry Jam. Has a thick and smooth mouthfeel. It is a decent enough blueberry that I could see using it in recipes. It is just not a authentic blueberry to me. It does have some jelly/jam like quailties in the mouthfeel.
Pairings: This would go well in candy mixes, creams, other fruits.
I’ve never heard of steeping for 14 days! Is this a thing? I’d assume more geared towards RBAs.
Hopefully you’re still here and didn’t really unsub because of that comment if you want to get into DIY. Lots of useful info here.
Yes, most concentrates / recipes change (some quite dramatically) after a steep. If it’s an all fruit recipe, like u/vurve ‘s pink lemonade, I’ll mix it and give it to my girl right away. The lemon fades with a steep. On the other hand I like custards / desserts / creams, which don’t really come to taste how they are meant to be until 2-4 weeks.
