I've got a lot of recipes I want to mix requiring Vanilla Custard v1 (TPA) as well as the (CAP) version. so my dumb ass assumed they were interchangeable so I only ordered one and figured I'd just swap out the ingredient as needed. it's a bit late to reorder at this point but I plan to reorder in about 6 months. I have a liter of VG on it's way and 27 flavors. I'm honestly not comfortable with experimenting but if I do substitute (CAP) for (TPA) can I expect drastic results in the end? or should I wait for my next order and do a proper mix with the recommended flavors the recipe calls for?

I use them pretty interchangeably. They will be different, but it's not going to mess up any recipes IMO.

Hi fellow mixers. I generally use a mix of reused glass bottles and chubby PET for mixing. How long you reuse those PETs before recycle? They get like these white scuffed spots from squeezing. Also check out these new mixes: http://e-liquid-recipes.com/list?filter=91893

Some ice creams yogurts and tropicals. Cheers.

>before recycle?

I'm from 'Merica and we don't recycle or none of that hippy shit here. Clean coal, drill baby drill, frack is the new black!

But about 3 or 4 times. Really depends on how creased the bottle gets.

lol. throw it in the ocean? Iv'e been reusing PET's for a half a year now they seem quite beat up maybe I'll go full glass. Wish Chefs Flavor uk would sell some good quality glass bottles. With good silicone dropper top. I bought some glass dropper from a local shop and the top "plastic" got weird and mushy so stop using them.

I just bought all my supplies to get started including a magnetic stirrer. I wasn't sure if I should get one with a hot plate. I've heard that heat can eliminate the need for steeping and I've also heard that heat can affect the nicotine. It would be nice to skip the wait for steeping but I don't want to ruin my product either. Is there a right way to use heat or should I just stick with the usual method of timed steeping?

6 points

by Kroliver14over 7 years agoMixologist

Waiting for the steep is the best thing to do. Heat will cause the flavors and nicotine to degrade.

Time is best. Heat can ruin more volatile flavor compounds, like fruits, and isn't worth the extra money when you can just make more juice than you need in order to have the good stuff steeping.

Fruits 1-3 days

Bakeries 5-7 days

Custards 1-2 weeks

Some tobacco 3 weeks plus

I second this. This is pretty much the timeline that I followed until I learned how specific flavors changed over time. Great starting point, and again, Time is best. Let sit in a cabinet or drawer and forget about it :)

No to the heat steeping. Just shake and let the bottle sit in a cool, dark place if something needs to steep.

I have a sensitive palette. The vast majority of berry flavours, especially raspberry, taste like perfume to me. Certain lychee flavours taste overly floral. I'm also one of the people who tastes vomit, when butyric acid is used.

Is there a list of safe flavourings that will work for people with a sense of taste such as mine?

I'd really like to avoid wasting time or money on flavourings I can't use. TIA

5 points

by ChemicalBurnVictimover 7 years agoresident tobacco expert

You could check this list for TFA flavors to see what’s in them.

So if you click on “List” for Raspberry, you’ll come to this page that lists all the different flavor molecules, and there’s a description of their flavor properties. Looks like the Ionene alpha and beta might be something you’ll want to avoid, so you can click the molecule name and it will show you this list of all their flavors that contain it.

Best I can help.

I've seen the page before but never really looked through it much. Spent about 15 minutes just browsing through flavor sheets and finally realized why anything with TFA Papaya in it tastes/smells off to me. Butyric acid.

2 points

by juthincover 7 years agoOne of "The Damned"

> one of the people who tastes vomit, when butyric acid is used.

That would be everyone with any remaining taste buds. Insanely long steeps will minimize how much puke can be noticed in a mix, but it's unlikely anything could eliminate it completely.

1 points

by skiddlzninjaover 7 years agoThat one moderator. You know, the honey guy.

Lychee and raspberry are floral for everyone, it's about using other flavors to hide the floral notes. Butyric Acid is literally the scent of bile, so everyone who's vomited also tastes vomit with BA, but once again, it's about the flavors you can use to cover up that vomit note and only translate the creamy, buttery notes.

New mixer here (almost) - I have no questions. I just want to say I am really excited to start making my own juice. Just made my first order through NicRiv after playing around with flavorings and recipes for last few months on elr. I got myself about 50 flavors and 10/11 recipes that I want to try. I even plugged in all my costings etc. on elr. Looking like each 50ml bottle of juice is gonna cost me about $1.50-1.75! Amazing! Never going to have fork out $20/$30+ on premium 50ml juice again :)

EDIT SEE BOTTOM

I feel like I might have glossed over some part in a faq but ...

How would I clean up spilled juice safety to make sure any surface is not contaminated ?

Please don't ban me I went and got some 200mg/ml nicotine juice intending to diy my own basic VG down to whatever level I choose ( like 12-3mg )

I just don't know how much of a hazard mixing this is .

Also bought some menthol , but turns out I need to go buy PG to make a base with it .

@200mg/ml one drop would be 1/15 of a ml so 13mg if my math is right then that's not to big a hazard

but if by some terrible misfortune all 2oz of it spilled on my foot or arm then 11.8 grams of nicotine would be on my skin , how bad would that be ? And if I only spilled it on the linoleum floor how would I clean it up to sanitize the floor to make it safe ?

Planning to use PPE , eyepro and nitrile gloves ( are latex or vinyl no good ?) and being very careful

Right off the bat I think I'll water it down to 100mg/ml with VG

Also kicking myself because I think I should have gone with salts but that's a easy fix just $15 more :(

edit 1 . NO ANSWER YET ON HOW TO SAFETY CLEAN UP A SPILL ON SOME WORK SURFACE ! , like some spray cleaner and paper towels or ...

edit 2 I'm not meaning to be rude just pointing the question again .

> Planning to use PPE , eyepro and nitrile gloves ( are latex or vinyl no good ?) and being very careful

Latex is permeable to nicotine, so nitrile all the way. Also, with a concentration that high, I hope you're measuring by weight as syringes can be off a bit here and there, and with that much nicotine per mL, you're going to want to be precise.

>Right off the bat I think I'll water it down to 100mg/ml with VG

Good call, and be sure to follow /u/lNTERLINKED 's advice about splitting into smaller batches for the freezer.

2 points

by lNTERLINKEDover 7 years agoI did not ask for this flair.

I would definitely dilute it to 100mg/ml, then split it into several smaller containers. Put all but one in a tupperware box and keep in the freezer and use the remaining one until it's done, then re-up from the freezer.

Obviously you want to make sure it's not near any food and is well packaged. If you're putting it into glass bottles to freeze, don't fill to the top.

2 points

by comedian42over 7 years ago

I would dilute with PG not VG. VG is pretty thick stuff and you can end up with hotspots if you don't warm it up and shake the ever living crap out of it. You still get hotspots in PG, but it's more fluid than VG especially at the lower temps you'll be storing your nic at.

If you get a high dose of nic on your skin (ie you wear gloves but spill it on your lap) go to the hospital. It's hard to estimate absorbtion rates accurately and while it might be a pain, nicotine toxicity is not a good time by any measure.

3 points

by Mechmoddeathwishover 7 years ago

> go to the hospital.

Thanks for this advice after reading the notice about pure nicotine , knowing my protocol is to simple not fuck around and if I where to have skin contact to call the first responders at once , and to avoid doing that mistake in the first place .

2 points

by EdibleMalfunctionover 7 years agoThat Sugar Cookie Guy

Dilute to 100 mg/ml or less and you won’t have to worry about that. Seriously. There’s no cause for concern if you do this.

> How would I clean up spilled juice safely...

Ok, instead of just telling you what I do if I spill juice, I headed to google and found quite a few articles on the subject. They pretty much say the same things which is wipe up the juice with paper towels, clean surface with warm soapy water, rinse, wipe with paper towels again, let dry. If you need to know how to clean up spilled nicotine, hit google. (Clue: it's about the same procedure, depending on the size of the spill.)

A lot of the recipes I see online use 6-10 different flavors in various concentrations, and there seems to be very little overlap between flavors. I picked out three recipes I like the sound of, but I'm going to need 20 different flavors just to make them. Going by ratios my bottles would range anywhere from 3-20ml, which means it's a sizable cash investment for flavors im not even sure I'll like.

Are there any standard base flavors which I could use to make multiple simple recipes (ie buy X&Y flavors to make juices with XYA, XYB, XYCDH type mixes)? Also is there somewhere I can find a few simple beginner recipes (2-5 flavors), preferably with simple/similar ingredients.

3 points

by leapinglabratsover 7 years ago

Although dated, this list gives you some idea of the most popular flavors.

ATF is a good source for recipes, using the filter "simple" might help. But there have been tons of threads in this sub, give it a search.

But the harsh reality is that you may need to try a whole bunch of concentrates and recipes to find what you enjoy and there's no real shortcut. Order the smallest sizes you can find (usually 10 ml), but in the long run it will pay off to qualify for free shipping where available.

2 points

Thanks, I'll check out those links! Also I found a place online that does 3ml concentrates for $2 - $3 so I think I'll buy some up and mess around with a few simple recipes until I find what I like!

Does any of you have any experience making a solution using PG and dry stevia leaf (already ground into a powder) ?

I was thinking of boiling it 1:9 (Stevia:PG) and filtering out the powder in a coffee filter but would really like to get the feedback from more experienced mixers.

Then maybe. Although personally I'd rather do a centrifuge spin to remove particulates...

Or better yet, source powdered Rebaudio A that's already been purified and dissolve that in PG (or PDO or PEG 400 )

Looks alright to me, maybe the kiwi is a bit high but that is a matter of taste.

2 points

by ndhoreover 7 years agoMixologist

i want menthol and kiwi in the inhale so should i make it 2% and add more DW ?

2 points

by leapinglabratsover 7 years ago

Separating inhale and exhale isn't possible per se, but the stronger top notes tend to be the first impression so bumping up the kiwi might produce that result. If you go overboard with a single concentrate however, you are likely to get some unwanted off notes. I would either tone done the other flavors or add a complementary kiwi of another brand.

Distilled Water, as you may have gathered from the other comments, is not a great idea. The primary purpose is to thin out high VG juice when you don't want PG, and to add a bit of throat hit. Unfortunately it is detrimental to flavor, causes coil popping and leaky tanks. So I would never recommend it, but if you enjoy the results, by all means continue.

1 points

by juthincover 7 years agoOne of "The Damned"

Uh... what precisely is 'DW' in this context, and why do you want to add it?

2 points

by xx2000xxover 7 years ago

I know that it's pretty much now standard to say no to all the gimmicks and just shake the shit out of it and let it sit to steep.

I've always thrown my DIY 300ml bottle of VG in hot water to get it warm right before I mix so it's easier to work with and thought since the VG's molecules are more separated the initial and maybe final shake it would blend better. That's a no go? And how hot is too hot?

Do you need to let the nicotine that was in the freezer to 100% cool down before you mix?

I just saw that my PG that has to be maybe 1 1/2 years from Essential Depot has expired while the VG I got at the same time is still good. Throw it away or the due date not relevant to vaping?

Not a big deal because I've been waiting to re-up on all 3 from Nicotine River to get over $50. I know that VG is pretty standard across the board however PG is a bit different. Is there a concusses that all HQ PG from known places are the same too or is it psychosomatic as I know Wayne said that he didn't like PG from Essential Depot.

2 points

by skiddlzninjaover 7 years agoThat one moderator. You know, the honey guy.

PG from Liquid Barn is the best I've had, like wang has stated multiple times.

I am against using any heat, especially in large batches which I find much easier to shake. It can and does harm more delicate volatiles.

If you want properly mixed nicotine without any hot spots, you should let your nicotine reach room temperature. A good method for this is to put your bottle under a tap running cool water. Turn up your thermostat, or turn down your freezer if your nicotine needs to cool down after being taken out the freezer.

I wouldn't use any PG or VG that's been opened longer than 10 months. They both absorb moisture from air, and with moisture comes off flavors from their environment.

1 points

by kuri_sanTouover 7 years agoDiketones, Schmiketones

>turn down your freezer if your nicotine needs to cool down after being taken out the freezer.

can I just transfer from freezer to fridge if I plan in advance? that's what I do to whole turkeys on thanksgiving. also, can I use it cold? I understand about temperature and the effects on viscosity. my nic is 48mg/ml in 100% PG

1 points

by skiddlzninjaover 7 years agoThat one moderator. You know, the honey guy.

It won't hurt the nicotine to use it cold, but you're much more likely to get poorly mixed nicotine.

1 points

by juthincover 7 years agoOne of "The Damned"

Any flavor carrier can, if mistreated, pick up all sorts of off flavors which will fuck up a mix. This includes PG, just like the better alternatives.

The percentages on the label for assay, max chloride, water, sulphate, and ash, all match other companies' USP (food grade) PG. So yes, according to the label, and the datasheets of multiple other companies, this is as pure as the PG everyone uses.

What's the optimal concentration of FW Whipped Cream to use to get the best creamy sensation and taste? I was blown away when I made my first mix of FW WC and FW Coffee W/Cream. I hadn't let it steep. Every puff gave a beautiful realistic smooth creamy mouthfeel. Once it had fully steeped, and after over a month of using varying concentrations of the FW WC with both the aforementioned coffee as well as other flavours, I just haven't managed to replicate it.

I've certainly gone too high (up to 10% WC) but IDK if I've ever gone too low. Could that first experience have been due to all my other attempts being too high, while the un-steeped mix that I vaped the first time had the optimal concentration? Or is my experience the result of my brain having adapted very fast to the compounds responsible for the creaminess? I don't use WC containing blends on even a daily basis.

I need answers, Reddit! I want that gorgeous creaminess back in my life!

by SlashaLOover 7 years agothe diesel mixer

I would say start at 2% and work your way up. It's better to start low, in a small batch; 10mL mix, and then drip a little and see how you like it. Add more after that.

Its hard to say what the "issue" was. I am a fan of letting a mix sit a while, except for rare occasions that letting it sit worsens the mix. Ya, vaping without a steep at any concentration can give you, personally, a result you dont like; or using the wrong concentration and letting it steep. There are many variables in there. I would suggest single flavor testing and see how much/when you like it.

Take say, 3 10mL bottles. Do a 2%, 4%, and 6%. Vape them right away, see if you like them, write down which one and how long each as sat until you hit a point where you really like it and thats your winner.

Any way to get a completely unsweet primarily VG juice? I've tried using FA's Bitter Wizard, which helped some, but I still haven't been able to find a way to get a completely unsweet juice, I'm talking something that is dry on par with Black Note's tobacco flavors (although not necessarily tobacco flavor). VG has inherent sweetness.

1 points

It can be done, mostly by adding flavors that overpower the sweetness. However, this isn't always optimal.

2-3% FA Lemon ~~Sicily~~Pledge is pretty obvious. It certainly won't be sweet. 2% FA lime tahity distilled. INW Lemon Mix around 1%... there's a number of options. Most are going to be tough unless you like bitter flavors.

1 points

by skiddlzninjaover 7 years agoThat one moderator. You know, the honey guy.

As VG is a sugar alcohol, it will have some inherent sweetness no matter what you do to it. Some VG is sweeter than others. I've found that the more neutral tasting VG is generally more expensive.

Quick question : I have some DIY juice in a 100ml glass bottle that needs to be steeped for 1 month (premium concentrate). 13 days have passed.

If I open the bottle now and try the juice, will the steeping process end? I know that when you open the bottle, flavor molecules exit the bottle and that's not good.

4 points

No it will not.

1 points

You may lose a few flavor volatiles, however... if you shake well, only open the bottle long enough to load your test sample, and seal it back up, it will continue steeping mostly unaffected.

I bought some heavily discounted flavours from flavour-boss (30ml for £1) but now that they have arrived I can see that the Cap Sugar Cookie is v2. Is this interchangeable in terms of strength with v1? And is it as bad as the Vanilla Custard v2 that I keep reading about?

1 points

by skiddlzninjaover 7 years agoThat one moderator. You know, the honey guy.

If you want to wait for a 2-3 month steep, yes it's the same strength. It will never be the same flavor.

Yes it is that bad.

Also, flavour-boss is shady as fuck, using mixers' names and creations without credit or recognition. I'd like to highly recommend chefsflavours.co.uk instead, as you can buy licensed one-shots marketed by the mixers themselves, along with most manufacturers' flavors from a company that does things properly.

1 points

by garamasalaover 7 years ago

Oh great :/ Well, I guess I'll give it a try, I've got 60ml of the stuff to get through, and just steep it for ages.

I can understand your position about them using recipes but that issue aside they are not that bad. I certainly go for chefs most of the time but for consumers it's fantastic to be able to buy 10ml of a popular recipe to see if it's worth investing in a load of new flavours.

Out of interest, are you doing some kind of deal for a God Milk one shot for a UK company?

1 points

I can't officially work with a non-US company due to restrictions in my career, but I do have someone managing my recipes with non-US companies, and I believe one of those companies is Nom-Nomz.

I'm just getting into Mixing, and wanted to try making some pre-existing recipes. If a recipe calls for, lets say 15% of total flavoring, but recommended VG is 70%. Do I have to add 15% PG into the total recipe as well? Or do I keep the same ratios for the 15% of flavor, and double it to be 30%? Stupid question, but I'm a noob.

2 points

by OdieDoodahover 7 years ago

What you need to do is use a calculator like Steam Engine.

Then enter the info:

  • total volume you want to mix

  • % of flavorings you're using (most likely PG based)

  • comcentration of nic base you're using (with it's PG/VG ratio)

  • your target nic comcentration

  • your target PG/VG ratio

Then the calculator will show you exactly what you need to add.

1 points

by kuri_sanTouover 7 years agoDiketones, Schmiketones

interesting. I always thought Steam Engine was only for wire

1 points

by SlashaLOover 7 years agothe diesel mixer

What you will do is keep the flavor at the same ratio, 15% and you will add 15% of regular pg (assuming you are not adding nicotine).

1 points

by juthincover 7 years agoOne of "The Damned"

Your options are as follows:

  1. Weigh out the flavorings for the 15% total. (this gets done regardless)
  2. a. skip nicotine
    b. measure out PG based nicotine and note percentage of mix
    c. use VG based nic (and hope you shook the shit out of it enough), note percentage of mix
  3. a. weigh out enough VG for 70% of the mix
    b. weigh out enough VG for 70% of the mix
    c. subtract amount noted in 2(c) from 70%, and weigh out that percentage of VG for the mix
  4. a. weigh out enough PG or PDO or PEG400 to make up 15% of the mix
    b. weigh out enough PG or PDO or PEG400 to make up 15% (less the amount noted in 2(b), of course) of the mix
    c. weigh out enough PG or PDO or PEG400 to make up 15% of the mix
1 points

I think we need more info, but yes.. If you're shooting for 70% VG then you would need an additional 15% of PG. I don't know if you're using nic, but let's just say for example you're using 48mg/ml nic in 100% PG and want your juice to be 6mg in the end, then you would add

12.5% nic

2.5% PG

70% VG

15% Flavor

I finally gave in and got something other than menthol, being cheese cake and lemon not sweet at all which I like but the flavors are so good. The way the lemon goes into the Graham cracker crust cutting into the flavor of the cheese cake the only thing I wish I had to add to it was a little custard because the cheese cake flavor is quit mild compared to the crust.

I’m interested in making something like fresh and sour strawberry shocker any tips for this one???

Is that a juice, try the Clone thread if it is.

Sour is a hopeless cause, though.

Yes it’s a juice

I tried over there no luck so far. It’s a juice that’s a tart strawberry too sweet and sour but not bad. There is something in that I’m not sure about, maybe a gummy candy and that’s what I like about it. I would like to make something similar but with less sweetener and sour

/u/juthinc Would you tell me about the alternatives to PG please? I think one was PDO, but I don't know what that is and I know I've seen you mention a couple.

Ok... short lesson:

PG is properly 1,2 Propanediol. PDO is 1,3 Propanediol. That slight modification to the molecule makes a huge difference in propensity towards raping your throat. Note that PDO is generally (in North America) tougher to source, as DuPont controls most PDO production and distribution is targeted towards industries other than vaping. Product liability on a substance that's inhaled does tend to scare companies. PDO is largely produced using HFCS, which is digested/metabolized by bacteria, in a manner similar to the most noble use of HFCS - the one involving yeast and copper line.

The other option is Polyethylene Glycol... aka PEG. Generally, PEG400 is the easiest to source. It's quite commonly used in stoner juices, but not so much yet in normal ejuice. I've been testing it lately... There are reports of it giving a terrible taste to a mix. Most likely, the PEG that does so has been improperly handled or stored (PEG, like PG, will absorb environmental contaminants and generate off tastes from such contamination) as I've definitely not experienced this.

Eventually, there may be more options, but those are pretty much it at the moment.

Note: the SG of PDO and PEG are not identical to that of PG, so you'll want to adjust the weights in your mixes if you use one of these alternatives.

I have a flavor that, according to a list I found in the FAQ here, suggests 1 drop in a 10 mL base. My problem is I wanted to start by making 5 mL samples.

How can I make a 5 mL sample bottle of this flavor?

Furthermore, I'm not really sure I know how to get "1 drop" anyways.

I ordered all of the equipment in the Wiki beginners guide: 2x 1mL Luer Lock Syringe, 5mL.., 10 mL. 14&16 ga Blunt Tip Luer Lock Needle, 20x 10 mL bottles, 5x 1 mL Disposable Pipette.

Flavor bottles of dropper caps on them. What flavor are you trying to use? You obviously can’t get less than one drop out of a bottle. So you’ll have to make more than 5 ml samples. This is why it’s easier to mix by weight.

TFA Caramel Cappuccino.

I’ll look into mixing by weight.

Simple .. just dilute it down.. put 10’drops of pg and 10 drops of flavoring in a separate bottle then add 1 drop to your 5 ml sample .. easy peasy

Hey guy I have a question I was unable to get a good answer on. A while back when I was going to start mixing I bought some VG and PG, and just never really did it. They "expired" in 2016 though I don't know if they really expire or not. If so no big deal it's cheap enough, but I'd hate to waste it if didn't have to. I tasted the VG and it tastes like sweet glycerin, possibly sweeter than I remember before. They have just been sitting in bottles on my shelf.

VG shouldn’t get sweeter. Do you know when exactly you bought them? Depending on how properly stored they were, they could be fine. You’ll have to try them to find out. Vape ingredients don’t have expiration dates. There’s nothing in them that would spoil. However, the components can and will degrade over time and with exposure to the elements. If you bought them before 2016, however, I’d toss them.

My question is about mixing juice for pods systems. What best PG/VG ratio for mixes with nic salts for pods systems?

1 points

by AkGreggy95over 7 years ago

Depends on the system. I make 65/35 Vg/Pg for my aspire breeze. The coils can handle it but I could probably add a bit more PG for longevity. Smaller pod systems usually need at least 50/50 to wick properly.

i plan to use Joyetech Exceed Edge with replacement coils 1.2 ohm and power range 8-15 W, and maybe new pod Voopoo Panda, but i'm not sure what coils in it's pod. I thought mix juice for it like 50/50 with 25 mg nic salts in it

by AkGreggy95over 7 years ago

Try it out, make small batches with different VG/PG ratios, and see which one works best for you in each device. 50/50 is a good place to start for most pod systems!

I want to start mixing my own juices but plain PG is very expensive where I live, but VG is like $3 for 1 kg so I wanna try and mix it max VG.

Suppose I have 2 flavors, bubblegum and menthol and I want a little more bubblegumy than minty. What percentages should I look after? I really have no idea where to start.

Most of the recipes go for like 5% or less for each flavor but they're using plain VG as well. On my mix all the PG will come from flavors, so do I need to up the percentage as well?

Thanks guys.

Mixing max VG is simple - just add you flavoring and nic and fill up the rest with VG. The percentages are hard to quote unless you have specific concentrates. Some are weak and some are strong. Try finding a specific recipe you want to mix on ELR or ATF and you'll know the percentages.

Here's a headstart for you . . . Minty fresh gum

First off: you really want two recipes, preferably from different profiles, so you can switch off. Vaping just one thing all day every day tends to lead to not tasting it.

Secondly, each flavor's relative strength is independent of the relative strength of 'similar' flavors from different sources. So the exact flavors matter. Some recipes will be <1% total flavor, some will be >20% total flavor. It really varies. You don't want to increase flavor used just to add PG, tho... flavors are at least as expensive as PG, usually much more so. (note: if this is not the case where you are, buy the cheapest lemon you can find. steep for at least a month, and the lemon flavor should disappear completely) Also, a 90-10 ratio should be fine in general.

I recently mixed up this lava flow clone and even after a long steep it was unbearably harsh, to the point of making me violently cough. Has anyone else had this issue?

2 points

by EdibleMalfunctionover 7 years agoThat Sugar Cookie Guy

You used the exact same flavors?

1 points

by Wofl1211over 7 years ago

Yes. The only other juice that’s been this rough on my throat was bronuts but I believe that is a common issue.

2 points

by EdibleMalfunctionover 7 years agoThat Sugar Cookie Guy

Yes. Definitely is

2 points

by juthincover 7 years agoOne of "The Damned"

It looks pretty bad, but not so much in the way you describe unless either your nic concentration is off... of course, 30% PG is on the high side, if you're sensitive to PG. You could try mixing a max VG batch to see if that was the issue... a small test batch of unflavored would determine how the various bases may be responsible...

1 points

by Wofl1211over 7 years ago

I’m positive that my nic is not the issue as I mix a lot and all my other juices are completely smooth. I may be sensitive to one of the flavors?

1 points

by juthincover 7 years agoOne of "The Damned"

If I had to guess, I'd probably suspect the pineapple. Personally, I'd make up a batch using TFA Raspberry Sweet @~4.5% instead of the FW Strawberrry, just to see if replacing the worst flavor there changed how smooth it was or not (doubt it would, but it would at least taste better).

What ratio do you normally mix? if you normally do max VG, the PG content may be the problem. Otherwise, I'm guessing the pineapple.

I’m sicker than shit- somebody please recommend a nice cold soothing recipe that doesn’t use inw eucalyptus. If I vape another drop of that stuff I’m going to put on lederhosen and start fucking yodeling.

by juthincover 7 years agoOne of "The Damned"

.25% TFA Cinnamon Spice
.75% INW Lemon Mix
3.5% Menthol
5.5% TFA Peppermint
You may not notice the lemon or mint hiding in this, but it should help.

That looks pretty scary

The good news is, it'll allow you to taste what you're vaping.

The bad news is, once your cold goes away, you'll taste only cinnamon for a week.
