Hi Guys,
I've been wanting to start mixing my own liquid for years. I haven't, of course. I just discovered Liquid Barn and it seems to be a great way to bridge the gap. I plan on buying a big bottle of base and 3 ready to go concentrates from DiyorDie and and Mr Good Vape. I am also considering buying a 10 pack of the Liquid Barn flavors to play around with. Is there anywhere I can go to find established recipes that only use LB flavors? I am not quite ready to branch out to different flavoring vendors just yet. Also, is there anyone else out there that sells ready to vape concentrates? I was hoping LB would have more brands. What else should I buy from there? Please fill me with your knowledge.

As far as one shots go, you can find quite a large selection at ecigexpress. They aren't the commercial brands like Mr. Good Vape or One Hit Wonder that you can find at Liquid Barn but they are from some of the best mixers in the community and you will definitely find some that you enjoy. One shots are a great way to get into this amazing hobby.
Yes yes yes. I definitely want to start with One shots before I take a plunge off a cliff. I've spent a good majority of my morning window shopping at Ecigexpress. Between Diyordie, Express diy, Diy mixers showcase, and Pazzo by Flavorarts, where do you think I should start? I have the most interest in Diyordie for some reason.
I don't have any experience with the Pazzo line from FA yet, but I would say you would not go wrong with the Diy Mixer's showcase or diyordie one shots. There are lots of different one shots by lots of different skilled mixers and you will find something you like. Might I suggest Blackberry Milk lol
I tried "The Man" premade concentrate and it's very good imo . Strawberry Cheesecake got one of the best reviews i have ever read on Reddit and as stated Blue Raspberry is awesome .

I don't know about all lb recipes but I can recommend some of the flavors.
Most of them can stand up on there own or simple like mix lb strawberry with lb ice cream.
Lb blue raspberry is one of the better ones , you could get there sweetener and add a little if your used to commercial juice.
Strawberry cheesecake is decent.
Ice cream is great.
Peach is pretty good.
I didn't like green apple , but if you like those green apple and caramel suckers you may like it.
Strawberry isn't bad.
Pacific cooler is decent.
And dew mountain and the coke one are ok.

Thank you very much. This is helpful. Most of my LB research on reddit seems to agree with this post so I will be sure to include these into my 10 pack purchase. I might be opening up a terrible can of worms but in my mind, a simple fruit + cream blend should be easy enough....
As vapers, we've all been through dark times where we hated every single juice we owned so if all these flavors and experiments are "vapable" I'd be content.
Great recommendations. I’ll add that there’s no reason why you shouldn’t branch out to different flavor brands, though. Starting out using only one brand is actually a bad way of starting.
these were my thoughts as well. but there's so many makers of a particular flavor that you feel stupid for ordering all of them. for now I'll stick with what the recipe asks for and until my inventory is sufficient will I then play with other brands of the same flavor
As for well-established recipes that only use LB, I can't think of any. You won't find a lot of all-LB recipes because most of their flavors are a bit mediocre compared to what's available from other manufacturers. Not bad, just not best-in-class. You'll find a lot of recipes where one of their flavors is used but other brands' flavors are used with them to accentuate their positives. They're also a great company that's doing a lot for vaping advocacy.
As for what you're calling ready-to-vape concentrates, where it's a whole recipe in a bottle, most people refer to them as "one-shots" and you can find them at Ecig Express, Gremlin DIY, Wizard Labs, DIY Flavor Shack, One-Stop DIY shop, Chefs Flavours, lots of other places. But as far as I know, LB is the only place to get a recognizable "commercial" e-liquid brand like Mr. Good Vape as a one-shot at this time.
Edit: When you're ready to start creating your own recipes - what /u/Bassmutt said. Their Vanilla Ice Cream is considered by quite a few people to be the best one out there for mixing. Pink Lemonade is stellar, in my opinon. And White Chocolate Peppermint (drools)! Actually you might like the White Chocolate Peppermint all by itself.
This is amazing. Thank you for the information on One Shots. I've checked out those websites and I like EcigExpress the most at this time. I can't tell the difference between a One Shot and a single flavor flavoring if it isn't sorted like on Gremlin Diy so I think I will stay away for now. If I were to pick up 1 of everything from DiyorDie, would you consider that a safe purchase? I also see some of your stuff on there and I see you are a champion mixer.
If you were to pick up one of everything from DIYorDIE you’re almost certain to find something you don’t like, because that’s just how it goes. It would be a boring world everyone liked the same thing. But the price is reasonable and you’ll likely find several things you just love, so it’s not a bad idea. They have descriptions so if something doesn’t sound great to you, maybe skip that one instead of buying them all.

But yeah, I’ve got a few one-shots out there on a couple of sites that you can purchase. Another great place to look is the community recipe packs than numerous mixers have on Bull City Flavors. You have to add each of the flavors individually instead of having all the flavor in one bottle, but it has all the flavors you need and card with the recipe on it, and a generous portion of the profits go to the recipe creators.
As someone who recently got into diy a few months ago, my advice would be to just avoid liquid barn altogether and buy some tfa or capella flavorings. you'll be much happier with the end result. try https://www.bullcityflavors.com/
-to add to this. Buy flavors based off a high rated recipe on e-liquid-recipes.com that you may enjoy. (I started off with Third World Custard, a highly rated Vanilla Custard) It'll make it easier in selecting your first juices as well as teach you how layering low percentages of different flavors in a juice works.
I don't agree with this whatsoever. Every companies flavors are hit and miss and most just aren't very good. Capellas is at least usually pretty decent. Liquid Barn however - you just can't go wrong with them. Have you even tried LB flavors? It's the perfect new DIYers starting position.
Buying TFA/FA/etc is a huge gamble. I've had about 100 flavorings that I've played with over the years.
Not to mention, LB (also Capellas in many cases) are great for easy single flavorings if that's what you want to do, which makes either of them perfect for someone that doesn't want a lot of work involved in having to "figure out" their own recipes. TFA/FA/etc - not at all in about 90% of cases. You can literally just take two good flavorings of LB and put them together and you're not going to end up with something unvapeable. Try that with so many TFA/FA flavors. You'll throw out test mixes for a long time trying to wind up with something that isn't disgusting.
Not really. LB has like... one flavor I would use. And, I have used it. Didn't turn out terrible.
But flavors that can be done solo? INW Grapes. LA Lemonade. FA Fuji. FW Lemonade. (note, all of them are better with some cooling agents) With LB? Maybe their mountain dew or coke. Maybe. Cherry Blossom Tea is nice, but I don't consider it standalone.
Research a little, and TFA/FA/INW/FLV flavors are the way to go. I've had a few mixes turn out not to my liking, but some of the people who I mix for actually really liked those ones.
I've used about a 100 (most of which are TFA/FA, few INW, etc). They're generally bad and/or can't ever be used in anything but a multiple flavor mix. If it's something like "grape" for example (just an example) and it tastes terrible alone at any percentage, it's not going in anything I'm mixing. A flavor like "sour" is an obvious not-standalone.
Everything I've tried from LB has been fine by itself (except for coconut milk obviously but that's not something you would vape by itself).
I highly oppose your opinion on avoiding LB flavors. my opinion is they have the best ratio of usable flavors vs unusable flavors. I would say they are the best for something just starting. They also have some of my favorite flavors in general, but you know what they say about opinions...
I highly agree with your recommendation of Bull City Flavors though.
Also, please start w flavors from recipes you’ve found that seem reputable and buy your flavors that way, please! Haaa I learned the hard way and did it by buying everything that sounded good and that’s just a good way to waste money and flavors because until you’re a mixer that’s familiar w most flavors ( in like many years 500-1000 sft’s later ) having random concentrates that just seem like they taste good will have no real purpose for you because you’re not that skilled yet and they are just going to collect dust like mine. I do wish I knew enough to ask or would’ve learned that sooner... but, shoulda, woulda, coulda right? Pfft no big! I luvluvluv how much this hobby can take up all your time, money and suck the life right out of ya...😩😂! Jkjk I so do luv it in spite of it being a thirsty beast! And it’s soo much more cool than cigs ever were or could ever be imo 😬
