As always, the purpose of this thread is to gather the community to explore a flavor and its many uses. And it's also to have FUN!

Post recipes containing this week's Flavor of the Week, as the star or in a supporting role, with or without development notes. Talk about other people's recipes that use it. Compare and contrast different manufacturers' versions of the FOTW. Ask for help using that flavor in general or to achieve something specific, offer advice, brainstorm ideas, consider substitutions, suggest pairings... really anything at all as long as it's on topic.

COOKIE CRACK

FLV Cookie Dough 1%

CAP Sugar Cookie 4%

FW Butter Pecan 3%

FW Hazelnut. 0. 75%

CAP Vanilla Custard 1.5%

FLV Sweetness .35%

This mix is addictive AF. I love it as a S& V or try to steep it, if it even lasts that long. I don't like Sugar Cookie top high but it blends nicely with Cookie Dough. FW Hazelnut goes really well with Cookie Dough too, makes it more chocolatey. FW Butter Pecan is made for cookie recipes too; that nutty butter taste reminds of movie theatre popcorn butter and it goes amazingly well with Sugar Cookie/Cookie Dough.

Unfreaknbelievable I don’t have butter pecan but I’m mixing this anyway it looks delicious! Guess my butterscotch or ripple w work...eek not for a 3%er fuck! Well, been meaning to get it anyfknway lol...sorry for the language seemed appropriate at the time but I’m getting better now and it really isn’t at all😩😂.. life goes on. Damn this no butter pecan though and I’m not even gonna ask bcuz there can’t be a suitable sub for such a main plyr ..( starting to get heated again the curse words w prob fly). Thanks anyfucking way I’m going to order some and hopefully not forget 14 other ones I’ve been meaning to get but yet to be so organized as to have all that in one spot handy but what fun would that be? Loads r u kidding?, it’ll b ok ..I’ll get that andbe happy I just know it!

According to the website below, it's a stevia derived type sweetener. I find It doesn't gunk coils like the others.

Is there a good cake batter that doesn't give an anise after taste or have fructose? I tried making a cake recipe and found that JW YELLOW cake is giving off an anise type flavor and I pick up on it most because I have an aversion to it.

Also RE: cookie dough. I want to try a cookie dough ice cream. What are some good cookie doughs? I saw another post mention FLV and I'll give them a shot but any other recommended or flavors I should pick up that help push it along/enhance?

I haven't been able to make it exactly since I am missing one flavor.
Chocolate is going to be tough. HS Australian Chocolate or JF Milk Chocolate are the only that I can think of. INW Milk Chocolate was good, but they reformulated and apparently it taste like bandaids.

CHEFS CHOICE Cookie Dough (rebranded Cupcake World) is very good indeed.

As there doesn't seem to be an abundance of cookie dough flavours, and the most popular one (FLV) isn't overwhelmingly loved, I thought I would add my two cents worth here.

Very tasty - reminiscent of a supermarket bakery fresh baked soft cookie. Kind of a generic soft, sweet, blonde bakery taste, with very subtle background notes of caramel and vanilla, no discernible grain, crust, or chocolate notes, and no off-notes whatsoever. Can be made into authentic raw dough or authentic cookie with small additions to provide the 'wetness' or the grain, respectively (creams, Biscuit/AP).

Going by the recommendation on Chefs Vapour site, I first mixed at 12% - do not do this. It was acrid and disgusting. Backed off to 6% - still WAY too strong. Basically had to keep halving my mix and diluting 100% until I got down to 1.5%, which is what the above description relates to. Really strong concentration, and also very sweet. I usually add around 0.3 - 0.6% CAP Super Sweet to my bakeries, and I found that with this flavour either stand alone, or at 1% in mixes, I didn't need it at all.

All in all, highly recommend this for the realistic flavour (but not texture) of a bakery soft cookie. I much prefer it to CAP Sugar Cookie. It's pretty cheap as well.

Nougat- (What could be good nougat-base flavors)

Chocolate- (What could be good chocolate-base flavors for different variations on chocolate)

-Candy bar

-Chocolate for cakes/pastries

-Chocolate sauce(dahripping dah swauce)

I anticipated that kind of reaction somehow.

But there are quite a few people that love menthol outside of it's sinus clearing qualities. :)

Your Englisho is fine no worries... isn’t it funny I was a menthol smoker for nvm the years but a coons age at least, but I don’t crave or desire menthol vapes at all I don’t know why? If I did it’d probably solve a lot of my mixing issues 😩😂.. . But, as far as an entire week devoted to menthol? Is there that much to say about it really? Maybe a menthol holiday ( one day) to devote to it? Isn’t it kinda included already in w the mints department maybe by default? Anyway, that’s my two cents lol...;) ( and remarkably not filled w profanity ...in italics pats self on back haaa
