I was considering getting LA lemonade and CAP lemon Sicily to replace LB Pink Lemonade in my mixes. Are there any other lemon flavours that would go well in a strawberry lemonade mix?
I use LA Lemonade with either FA Lemon Sicily or INW Lemon Mix. I have another lemonade type flavor from JF I need to test, it's supposed to be pretty good. I think it would do well with the LA/INW blend based on how it's supposed to be, but there's always some unpredictability.

I use koolada, is WS-23 any different?
Yes.
Koolada is WS-3. It's twice the potency of WS-23, but WS-23 is usually used in a 30% solution whereas Koolada is a 10% solution... and WS-23 doesn't have the same issues with generating off tastes.
Also, the cooling effect is slightly different, so combining both actually gives much better cooling than either alone.
My old man is 85. He has smoked the pipe and cigars most his life but has had to quit smoking tobacco due to a bad chest infection. Just wondering what would be a tasty cigar tobacco to make up for him with the following tobacco flavours? He just got an Aspire Breeze (6mg 60/40) but is getting nothing from the commercial tobacco juice.

For an 85-year old man who smoked pipe and cigars and now has an Aspire Breeze? I'd mix all five of these together, something like this:
- 2% INW Cuban Cigar Absolute
- 2% FLV Red Burley
- 1.5% FLV Native
- 1.5% FLV Kentucky Blend
- 1% FLV Cured Tobacco
Hopefully someone who knows more about tobaccos than I do will come along with an even better suggestion.

I think that looks pretty good. I’d personally leave out the Cured because I get a similar note in a few of the FLV that gets a little weird when there’s too many together, and Cured has the most of it. Probably a personal thing though.
Do you have any flavors with cocoa or coffee notes? Those would work well for a cigar. Along with something like FA Vienna Cream.
I have INW Milk Chocolate( newer version unfortunately); FLV Milk Chocolate ; FLV Milk and Honey
Well shoot, I don’t have those chocolates, and I’m not sure a milk chocolate is what we’d want. Milk and Honey might be able to work for something like an Acid Blondie though. So going for something along those lines:
Native- 1.5%
Red Burley- .8%
Tobacco Absolute Cuban- 2%
Kentucky- 1.5%
Milk and Honey- 1.5%

Favorite passion fruit concentrate? I have fa , its ok just wondering if there's better.
Personally I like the taste of FA's best, but I can't really vape it. Rips my throat to shreds. PUR is close second flavor-wise and painless, so that one wins. FE Passion fruit I also enjoy, but it's both slightly candied and slightly floral. FLV third, not bad, just kinda dry and a little odd. CAP, FW, and especially TFA Passion fruits I do not recommend at all. Dirt and cat piss and such.
If you don't get any irritation from FA Passion Fruit, you've already got the best most accurate passion fruit flavor. Some people aren't bothered by it. But if you're trying to make something that many others will enjoy, though, try PUR, FE, or FLV, because there are plenty of others who call FA Passion Fruit "FA Throat Razors" and won't try your recipes or enjoy your juices that use it.
Any opinions on JF Biscuit? How does it compare to other Biscuit Flavours? Thanks!

Hey! So I'm new to this whole mixing your own juice thing. Got into it cuz it's cheap and my brother made maybe the best juice I've ever had (a slurricane clone (peach papaya guava). Anyway, I ordered a bunch of flavors to try to make a recipe for juicy pear jelly bellies that I found here. Turned out to be mostly a bust. Very harsh.
So I tried making another flavor just mixing fuji and ripe strawberry. also pretty harsh. Crazy cuz the slurricane he made was an INSTANT shake and vape. Like literally.
Anyway now I have all these flavors and I don't know what to do with them. LA watermelon, tfa pear, fa pear, fuji, ripe strawberry, kiwi, cactus, cold press lime tahiti, and gummy candy. I find recipes online but I'm always missing a couple ingredients. is there some kinda database I can type the flavors I have into, and it'll give me recipes? I have no clue what percentages to use for various flavors or what flavors will work well, and dont wanna waste shit by making bad juice that I won't vape.

Check the age of the recipe. If it's from more than two years ago, the numbers are gonna be seriously inflated.
Also, 2.5 cactus is gonna be a aloe flavor, just so you know.
Also, of the flavors you have, I use four. A fifth, I only use mixing for others (LA Watermelon...can't stand it myself) and I might use gummy candy at some point (although I may have researched it and chose not to, hard to recall) but...
Also:
.25% FA Pear
.25% INW Cactus
.75% FA Lime Tahity
1.5% FA Fuji
Try that mix. Two day steep, if it's harsh, I'd say you need better nic.
So im gonna start mixing up some different batches and try to build my first proper cupcake recipe from the ground up. Before I started wasting my ingredients i figured id ask around and see what everyones favorite cupcake flavorings, combinations and bases are. Going to mix up a few different ideas and see what i like most, and then proceed from there. Any help is much appreciated, just want to get a solid starting point.
Highly recommend CAP Vanilla Cupcake (I prefer v2) and CAP Cake Batter v1 for a cupcake base.
Dangm, forgot i had CAP Cake batter, that could work nicely. What percentage do you think works best with CAP Vanilla Cupcake? I have only used this flavor at 0.5% a few times, sometimes it worked great, other times it was too high, seems like it can be finicky to mix at times.

That said, you want JF Yellow Cake, since FW Yellow Cake is...not exactly healthy to vape. Now, depends what kind of cupcake you want, but IRL the One True Cupcake is chocolate... so I'm gonna say you want either Double Chocolate Clear or HS Australian Chocolate. LA Cream Cheese Icing for a topping, unless you'd prefer a marzipan based frosting. Probably you need a bit more to blend some flavors (chocolate to the YC, and maybe also turning the frosting chocolate or minty) and to keep the frosting separate from the cupcake. One of the bakery experts should have tips for those...
Ah i guess i could have elaborated a bit more, my bad. Im wanting to eventually end up with a moist kind of vanilla cupcake base, and some dragonfruit frosting. Preferably a cream cheese style icing. But for now im just trying to build a solid vanilla cupcake base.

The one I see recommended most is the AWS LB-501. You can usually find it in stock at Amazon for less than $30. I bought one and it works great! It weighs down to .01 which is what you need. There are other scales that are a bit cheaper-maybe someone who knows other scales that are good will chime in.

I own all the main flavor companies custards, and I've been messing around trying to make the mother of all custards.
There are tons of recipes I've tried, but I'm curious about just one-
I'm wondering if anyone has ever tried mixing them all together. Surely someone in the history of juice making has mixed this. How did it turn out?
If it turned out to be actually good, will you share with me please?
It can have other ingredients too, but mainly I'm curious if mixing all the custards, with purpose (ie, "Less of Custard A because it has off notes after 2%." "More of Custard B because it's brand of vanilla is amazing and needs to stand out", etc) works... Or does it end up being a muddled mess?
Those who are expert mixers: can you tell, without bothering to actually mix this, if it's a good or bad idea?

Well technically nothing is necessary except breathing eating and shitting. However there are many other things I want to try and am curious about. Like what would happen if I mixed all the custards I had. I don't want to waste them though, if it's going to end up a mess. So what do you think is the most different brands one could mix and have it turn out very well? One?
It really depends on what you are attempting to achieve. But I don’t think you need to mix more than one kind of custard together. I definitely don’t think it’s going to result in anything earth-shattering.
INW Custard is much more versatile than CAP VC.
Can I get some opinions over additives? I have:
- Acetyl pyrazine (TPA)
- Smooth (TPA)
- Sour (TPA)
I'm asking because usually this information is all over the place. I like to know some guidelines, like do they pair best, how much to use, wether not to mix them together (like having sour and smooth together would nullify their effect).
Additionally, how do you guys try out new flavors? Do you always make single favor 10 ml batches? That quantity seems overkill for me to try out, specially if something its really bad. However making lower quantity, like 5ml, makes it riskier to miss the ratios.
lotsa people make 10ml sft, and sometimes use half to mix and see the results. Sour is pretty much useless, because a real "sour" has yet to be found that works. Acetyl Pyrazine is one that I see in alot of bakery type recipes, and smooth I'm not familiar with.
If you want a 'sour' flavor, your best bet is to start experimenting with caffeine, and then a bit of malic acid. Too much of the latter, tho, will mute the hell out of your mix.
TFA Sour 20% is PG with 20% Malic acid?
Sounds about right. I'd say dissolve as much caffeine into the TFA Sour as it can handle. Add more PG and more caffeine. Then try to get by with .25% or so of the resulting solution.
There's a reason most people don't use TFA Sour... that muting effect.
AP is useful if you want to vape Fritos. Also, it goes in a lot of breakfast cereal mixes, and in small amounts for nutty mixes.

Well so I have: Atmos Lab Lemonade pg (dilute at 5%) Atmos Lab Mint pg (dilute at 5%) I want to make 100ml but I don't know if I should throw in a) 2.5ml/each (5ml) 45ml pg 50ml vg b) 5ml/each (10ml) 40ml pg 50ml vg Also I could not find any recommendations for the steeping time... I heard it's not necessary?
Steeping time varies based on flavors used. I don't think mint requires steeping, and lemonade needs a day or so at most, if it's not decent off the shake.
As to use percentage... never tried those flavors. You can probably get away with less than suggested. Maybe.

I've been mixing Mother of Dragons' Milk and Mother of Gods' Milk (Thank you u/ID10-T they're amazing) for months now and I want to switch it up a bit since I'm finally running low on dragonfruit. I love vanilla custard more than anything. Is there a mix that most people run to as THE vanilla custard mix? Maybe a dragonfruit or Strawberry custard mix to make along side it.
CAP Vanilla Custard has been the standard for a long time, but I actually prefer using INW Custard + FA Madagascar + CAP NYC as there is only a 3-4 day steeping time.
I have a juice that burns through coils really fast (Lemon Twist: Pink Punch Lemonade), but I want to mix it with another juice that is blue colada. Is there a certain amount of the pink punch I could add to get a nice flavor, but not burn my coils out like no other?
Is this a finished juice?
I am mixing two finished juices together, but I don't want to put too much of the pink punch lemonade in because it eats through coils.
So, I'm getting in to diy because seduce juice stopped selling blackjack in max VG, and 70/30 is too throaty. Does anyone have a good clone recipe for it? I hit up the search bar but I only saw one thread from 3 years ago.

i didn't think about sweetener when I ordered flavors, so no sweetener, but i dont love what sweetener does to coils anyway. it ended up pretty close imo but I'm super new to diy so who knows. thanks again for the help
The "4% TFA sweetener" was just standard "commercial juices use way too much sweetener" shorthand. Probably closer to 1%. But you could always get stevia or xylitol (or the two of those blended) and use a touch, if you want sweetness without using sucralose.

Try this: 3% tfa strawberry ripe, 5% cap sweet strawberry, 2% tfa vanilla bean ice cream, 1% tfa sweet cream, 0.5% cap super sweet. If you want cheesecake, add 4.5% cheesecake graham crust and cut sweet cream.

PG & VG question from a newb. I quit smoking last year April and even purchased from DIY guys on reddit. I was very impressed.
so my local vape shop had to stop selling juice w/nic (laws) so I decided I'd try DIY. I usually vape max VG with 6mg nic. I know manufactures label max VG when it isn't 100% or whatever. anyway, I want to buy a nice starter kit from nic river but the only options for nic is this but I have no idea which to choose. my guess would be the PG nic. I know there's a 50/50 blend out there but it isn't an option at this site. so which one do I buy?
also, my friend only vapes 3mg nic or less. I assume with the correct math I can still hook him up using this brand's nicotine.
oh, I've only heard about nic salts and don't really want to get into it right now but if you could enlighten me that would be nice.

You can dilute nicotine to whatever you want. You just can't make the end result concentration higher than the base nicotine concentration.
For a beginner I would recommend PG based nicotine as it's easier to work with. The higher concentration of nicotine you get, max 100mg/ml, the less you use. More bang for you buck.
Buying starter kits isn't really going to save very much as all you need is PG/VG and nicotine. Buy all the flavors in 10ml so you can get more of them as you don't know what you're going to like.

I think this is the confirmation I was looking for. thank you. but i'm not sure I understand why it's easier. since I'm going to buy 100% VG, with a PG based nic I can make little adjustments vs. if I bought the VG based nic I couldn't?

for me I pay close to $11 bucks for 15ml so I'm guaranteed cost savings as long as I mix to my likings. if I continue with DIY I know I can pick and choose my materials as needed but I'm just not there yet. the kit I linked looks promising and the flavors available are in line with what DIY redditors are recommending for the most part.

Maybe you are intetest this, 1000 mg/ml. 3 options available, 1000ml, 500ml, 50ml. diluited mix 50ml pure nicotine with 450ml PG = 500ml @100%. You got 500ml nicotine diluited at 100mg/ml. chansflavor.com/1000mg-pure-niocotine-liquid
Try vapers tek for your nic. And depending on what flavor profile you like, they're pretty good for flavors too. As mentioned, 100mg/ml PG based nic is what you want, even at 6mg/ml it only accounts for 6% of your final mix. Depending on your recipes... well, I tend to use 48mg/ml VG based nic for max VG blends with recipes using a high percentage of flavors.

can you elaborate more on what percentage is considered high? my guess would be anything over 13%. please school me
Yeah, that's about where I would say the flavor concentration is getting into the high range. I'm not comfortable with a higher concentration of PG than about 15-16%, so I'll mix max VG if PG nic would take it too high. And I use PDO or PEG400 to thin a mix some, if needed.
Can I flavor my juice with terpenes?

VG is VG if it’s USP. The kit from NR is fine, but you are better off buying everything individually.

USP or your country’s equivalent VG must always be used for vaping.
Hi, which color does your Flavorah Boysenberry have? The first i ordered was clear, the batch i recieved now has a bit of a yellowish orange color.
I am asking because the flavour is also a bit dull maybe it's related to the color change?
1: Is TFA Brown Sugar "Extra" just a more concentrated version of Brown Sugar, or is it a slightly different flavor than Brown Sugar?
2: If it's a different flavor entirely, are there any alternatives to the flavor that do not contain diacetyl, acetoin, or acetyl propionyl?
Any of you guys using pumps to dispense your VG? If so, which ones? Because squeezing VG from a 500mL HDPE bottle is killing my hand...
Generally, I pour until I'm within a reasonable range of what VG I need, then squeeze in the rest.

Just wondering if anyone knows the legalities of selling liquid WITHOUT nicotine (perhaps a one-shot / doubles) to friends, shops and online in Australia? Does anyone have any experience with this or can send me some links to laws? I assume a steralised lab and food certificates would be needed as quality control / insurance to be able to sell to shops?
I have access to a lab for a fairly good price so I don't know whether to pursue this and whether it's a necessity when selling to the public? Similarly I'm not sure whether I would need to get the recipes registered/checked with authorities given that the liquid is intended for consumption? Also are there regulations on what is needed to be included on the labels?

It seems a bit of a grey area as I can't find anything online about regulations, except that you cannot possess or sell liquid in Australia which contain nicotine. Any help would be great!
