It's exactly that. I could eat pure THC and the worst thing that's likely to happen is a nap. Pure nicotine will flat out kill you.
Here in Washington State we've actually started encountering THC OD issues with 24-hour MJ consumers, it causes twitching and severe violent vomiting/heaving for DAYS with some folks who dab or vape high THC or use high dose edibles whenever awake for a few weeks straight. Never would have thought it was possible to OD, I guess it took inexpensive legal access to find that out. Not super common, but it's possible.
Everyones always known that too big of an edible on too low of a tollerance can incapacitate you and be hell on earth. I think its called greensick now, but yeah definitely allot easier to reach now with people smoking and eating concentrate.
Youd be amazed at the tollerances people get these days though. Theres 110lb yoga moms going around saying that 1000mg of rso per day is the key to an energetic and peacful lifestyle. because just like with many perscriptions you can safely increase your mg every week until you reach the reccomended or desired dose.

Sounds like a load of bull shit to me, THC actually treats those symptoms and also there's no such thing as an "OD" with weed. Anyone who goes to the hospital because they got too high is a piece of shit and making all the functional members of society who smoke weed look bad.

Thats what happens when you consume too much nicotine at once. I vape 6mg and when I try my buddy's 12mg I almost always get hiccups and we use the same juice.

For nicotine? No. I don’t think that’s what’s causing your hiccups. If you are “overindulging” that doesn’t have anything to do with the carrier.
Look this is anecdotal but I'll give it to you anyway... is it the nicotine that is giving you the hiccups? I've never really gotten them from vaping but I remember getting hiccups and a tight throat/chest from nicotine gum. After a few tries with nicotine gum I'd be careful not to actually chew it like normal gum, but to gently massage it and let it sit in the mouth, just because that sensation was uncomfortable. What sort of concentration of nic were you vaping?
Hiccups? That usually happened to me when I would vape hard and long. Like take beast hits. If you can pace yourself and not have you diaphragm work like crazy and incite a reaction due to internal pressure within your digestive system, you should be fine.
Sinus issues? Maybe not exhaling with the nose as well might help that, or changing flavors.. Need more detail to make a better guess.
It's probably the nicotine, would be my guess. Nicotine sets off my GERD in the worst way, especially when I vape higher nic juices, and that causes hiccups for me if I don't treat it. I personally use generic pepcid or tagamet or zantac, tums works for me but it comes back in less than an hour.
I went to a pot shop when I was visiting Colorado and they looked at me funny when I asked for some juice. No no you have to buy these cartridges and this 2010-era ego battery. Do you really have to use special hardware or is this just a scheme to sell extras?
About a year ago, I bought a couple of thc cartridges and tried them on my sub-ohm mod. I turned it down literally as low as it would go, in this case, 1 watt. Both cartridges hit ok for about 2-3 seconds, then simply stopped and wouldn't respond to any current after that. I'm 99% sure my mod burned out the filament in the cartridges.
I think those premade cartridges are designed specifically for very small current and very small airflow. If you use any other kind of mods, I expect you will have the same result I did. If I was to try it again, I'd definitely buy whatever small pen style mod the cartridge was designed for.

Buy Dab Mix or try to reverse engineer it. I'll be experimenting some with PEG 400 and crystals for a friend sometime in the near future. If it works, I'll share details.
bro I fill my own carts. They have ceramic atomizors made for thick solventless oil, each hit is the strength of a bong rip and its smooth and light. Were lightyears ahead of u in the weed world lol.
I will admit though that many dispensaries still try to sell shitty cotton atomizer 510 carts mixed with pg/vg or foodgrade terps. those are disgusting.
I suppose you could just use water, but then you wouldn't see the cloud. For some reason if I don't see a cloud it doesn't provide any satisfaction.
