All 16 flavors comes out to $12.64 W/ free shipping.
I ordered everything except Menthol. Not going to hold my breath though. They recommend 7-9% for solo flavors. So don't sound super concentrated either. Generous offer to try them all out though.
I too ordered everything except Menthol
Now we wait 2 weeks for them to catch up on orders to find out if these have any gems in them or not.
I just wonder whether they reformulated these or if they're just the same aromas in PG base instead of VG or alcohol and whatever else the fuck they put in their SC line. They didn't reformulate the old VG line before putting it in that SC base so I'm guessing these probably aren't reformulated either.
Ordered all 16, about $30 CAD after shipping.
Jesus
Just ordered everything but menthol. This is so generous, thank you so much! I'm just getting into DIY, so this is really exciting.
I’m not sure how these flavors are, but if you are just now getting into mixing, it’s probably not wise to start off with an unproven flavor brand.
Assuming these are the same formula as the the SC line a few of these flavors are pretty solid. The Blue Raz, Strawberry and watermelon were pretty good to me. Seeming like these are just less concentrated versions they will be alot more forgiving compared to SC, where one drop can make a big difference.
To be fair, getting started is pretty overwhelming even with the recommendations list for new buyers and managing the excitement over acquiring flavors to try. It’s a good point that this is only a $12 mistake but if it ends your mixing career then, well, yes. It wasn’t worth it.
From the FAQ on the flavors. For those who didn't read into it and those who want to find it here.
FAQ's
Q. HOW DO I USE ONE DROP FLAVORS TO ENHANCE ELIQUID?
A. One Drop Flavors are a specially designed flavor additive that will enhance and boost any flavor profile in just 1 drop!
Step 1: Decide what flavor profile needs boosting. Maybe it is strawberry or maybe you are looking to add a chilling menthol effect to your favorite eliquid.
Step 2: Figure out what size bottle you have and get ready to boost! The average usage of One Drop Flavors to boost an eliquid is 1-2 drops per 1oz (30ml). So if you have a 30ml bottle and want to give it a stronger Blueberry profile, you would add 1-2 drops of our One Drop Blueberry.
Step 3: Shake your now boosted blend and enjoy your new e-liquid!
Q. CAN I USE ONE DROP FLAVORS TO MAKE ELIQUID?
A. You sure can! We recommend using 7%-9% flavoring by volume for single flavor blends.
Q. WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OR YOUR FLAVORS?
A. Flavors stored in a cool dark place will stay good for up to 2 years. See the listed expiration date on your bottle
Q. WHAT BASE IS THE FLAVORS?
A. One Drop Flavors are based in Propylene Glycol (PG)
Q. DO YOUR FLAVORS HAVE DIACETYL, ACETYL PROPIONYL, AND ACETOIN IN THEM?
A. No! All flavors have been tested and retested to make sure that these ingredients are not found in any flavor we produce. It is very important to One Drop Flavors that we are clear and transparent when it comes to the quality of our flavors.
Q. ARE YOUR FLAVORS KOSHER?
A. Our products are kosher certified.
Hmm, so their custard is gonna be daap free then. Really interested to see how that one turns out, here's hoping it isn't a buteryic acid mess haha.
Shit, I didn't read that before ordering or I wouldn't have even bothered with their custard. I tried their SC Cheesecake last week and nearly vomited attempting to vape it.
Just placed an order, was like $26 to canada, but still a freaking steal for how many flavorings and all in 30ml. Heres hoping they are good flavors haha.
Spent about 20, myself. Didn't need menthol... already have the blueberry trinity, blue raz scares me due to the "tastes like peach" business (as does peach, for that matter), and have zero need for another custard, vanilla, or strawberry... so I think it was 8 flavors? (Yes, of course I bought the cherry. I buy every cherry I can. Sooner or later...)
Would've been nice if they had more flavors that would be useful to me (like some berries I don't have yet, or florals or tobaccos) but the worry would be the price they include in the paperwork. If they show a higher list price, and customs checks the package, it could get Hella expensive.
Yeah I'm worried about that as well, I'm gonna mention that in the diy ejuice university group later tonight, which seems to be where Walt (real flavors owner?) Is really active. Fingers crossed they put the actual $0.73 on the customs forms.
As for flavors I got almost all the fruits and cream stuff. I'm still building my library so couldn't pass up the cheap price haha. Really hope they are good flavors, would be nice to see them redeem themselves - doesn't seem like real flavors has the best rep with diy-ers. The owner seems like a pretty solid dude though.
From the owner:
"What ever shows on the invoice will be what is charged by customs. We even took the standard free shipping amount off the cost of international orders as well!
I have a new app I hope will guide users in the cost of customs. May be installed by this weekend"
I'm hoping CBSA doesn't bother with this one. My last one from the US was from Ecigexpress and they dinged me. "e-CIG-express" I guess was what did it.
Soo, this is probably nitpicky but, it's slightly off putting to read how this line from real flavors is safe to use in eliquids. Does that imply that the original weren't?
My understanding is that the RF SC flavorings were suspended in something other than pg/vg but still water soluble. Possibly pdo or possibly alcohol?
Like I said probably just nitpicking but it has me wondering why they are pushing the whole "safe for eliquids"?
I'm guessing because its a new name they want people to know it's able to be used for DIY? It also says all natural so that's rare to see in flavors, maybe didn't want to confuse people to thinking it's a food flavoring?
A lot of companies use the term "Natural". They still use flavor aromas and PG. Which are "Natural" if the bend the definition hard enough.
Natural flavors, in the sense of extracting from a real fruit, don't really have a place in Ejuice as that invites a lot of stuff you don't actually want to vape.
Just rebranding more than likely. They want to break into the e juice market as they sell most of their Real Flavors stuff to shaved ice places among other types of things of that nature.
One of the only reasons you break out a new company doing the exact same thing is to appeal to a different market. They have been hinting they wanted a PG line along with their SC and VG lines. Instead of releasing the PG line under the normal cap they opened it under a new one.
TLDR: It's marketing
Oh, I wasn't aware that the RF SC line was geared towards the food industry. I mean, they kinda promoted that towards vaping. Anyway, hopefully they release the whole line under this label.
This is such a new industry that the food flavorings are just now ( last few years) trying to adapt to make juice for vaping specifically because they’re seeing there’s a definite market. Flavoring being a big business so few designed specifically for us until very recently. So, to piggy back on it’s marketing I agree...
In case any of the international mixers here were worried about getting dinged at customs, I asked the owner about it and he told me this:
"What ever shows on the invoice will be what is charged by customs. We even took the standard free shipping amount off the cost of international orders as well!
I have a new app I hope will guide users in the cost of customs. May be installed by this weekend"
Hmmm... the website is not working too good right now. I can't add anything to my cart either.
Edit: okay, got it to work in Edge (wouldn't work for me in Chrome!)
I had everything in my cart and remembered i already have a ton of Real Flavors stuff which i never use but thats not because they're bad it's just that i never come across any e juice recipes that use them.
Great offer though .
You can use them on your own...
This is Do It For Me EJuice, man. Get with it.
It's less than $10 though lol...
If i know i'm never going to use them why waste ten bucks.
How do these differ from the normal? Stronger?
Their normal original line were VG-based.
Then the SC line came next
I also just placed a order for all 12. now lets just hope that 1 this is legit and 2 they taste good.. lol i will update when they arrive and i can do singal flavor batches.
What flavors would u recommend we not get because of no diketones?
