Dry texture with nutty flavors and nasty peanut butter?
submitted over 7 years ago by ramasese4720

Hey guys so I've been lurking for awhile and have really benefited from the collective experience you have to offer and have been meaning to ask these questions for awhile but never really seem to get around to it.

TL;DR "How do you add a pleasant mouthfeel to your nutty flavors? what kind of peanut butter flavor do you use and where do you get it? is capellas PB nasty as fuck or is it the best?"

So in the past I have really enjoyed the nutty flavors, when I was back in AZ there was a red star house flavor called mikes creamy nut which was like a creamy peanut butter or something, its hard for me to recall exactly but it had a terrific taste and a really pleasant creamy mouthfeel.

I've been trying to clone it but I have been having the worst luck mixing peanutbutter into any desirable flavors. The only one that has been any good really has been I think its called monkey snack or something where its TFA peanut butter and TFA banana cream. That shit is mild, its good, its an ADV for sure.

I'm on the east coast so it was suggested to me that I order from bullcity to get my shit fast so thats what Ive been doing. IN my first flavor order I got CAP peanut butter and it was absolutely terrible. It smelled like burnt peanuts, or burnt popcorn and just the TINIEST bit in a flavor would straight up ruin your cotton. Then I've tried TFA and FLavorah pb but the TFA has some weird shit that happens when it steeps and it gets weird and sour and its just kinda gross.

I basically took the unicorn milk clone off ELC and removed the strawberry and have kind of been using this as a base because it provides a real milky nice mouthfeel with other fruits, so I figured I'd try it with PB because the TFA PB and the FW butter pecan both feel pretty dry after awhile. Its like its dry in my mouth and throat and generally has an unpleasant texture.

I talked to the guys on ELC about a PB cookie recipe because everyone was raving about CAPs PB and I posted my experience and that bullcity doesnt say if its V1 or V2 or what it was on the label so I really dont know, and reccommended that I go and buy it straight from CAP themselves. I got on their website this morning and saw that its ucking 20 bucks for a 4ox bottle and I wanna be sure to get the right one if I drop that kind of money. Any advice you guys have on nutty flavors or peanut butters or general nut flavors that you like would be greatly appreciated. I just want creamy milky nuts!

r/goobergrapevape has a lot of good info on peanut butters. It seems tpa peanut butter is the most used. Might be a good spot for info.

It's been a long battle and sometimes I wonder if we'll ever get there, but there's a dedicated crew working on it. Peanut butter is fucking hard.

If there's one thing I can guarantee, it'll be that you can definitely learn which peanut butters NOT to use. We've tried them all I think.

Have you tried mixing the Charlie Nobel peanut butter flavor and, if so, how did you find it?

Personally, if I was to try a peanut butter vape, my first instinct would be to use ~.25% TFA Butter, maybe some CAP butter cream, CAP whipped marshmallow and maybe a bit of some sort of chocolate so the PB has something to work with. Figuring out which chocolate would be the challenge...

I'll just throw this out there: TFA DX Peanut Butter. It's the only DX flavor that's any good. Superior (IMO) to their regular PB.

Yeah I think its better just started messing with it though. A little Marshmallow and vanilla custard seem to work pretty good to make peanut butter creamier.

Welcome to the world of peanut butter flavors. I've heard CAP Peanut Butter is all burnt peanuts and not so much "butter" fwiw.

IMO I think it depends on how much of it you use in a mix, I use TPA peanut butter mixed with CAP and it tastes great, very similar to the flavor of a peanut butter and apple flavored juice that I used to buy.

Tpa dx and Flv @ 2% each up to 4% ea but about the same for both is my suggestion. That’s what I have tried and whenever i see a p’but recipe that’s what I sub in and it works. As far as making it not so dry... maybe you could look it up when it was fow recently and I’m sure I remember them talking about that there....;)

I'm not sure about CAP V2 peanut butter, but you may want to consider ordering from bestglycol. $6cdn for 2oz bottles, TFA Peanut butter and the CAP v2. Shipping will probably hurt a bit unless you get a bunch of flavors, tho...

Capella PB V1 is ok. V2 is absolutely disgusting. As far as BCF... I believe if it's V1 or a version with the naughties in it (diketones), it will have a warning. If it doesn't, I would imagine it's the V2.

TFA PB is okay... but needs help. Typically adding a light cream or marshmallow will help round out PB and help w/ dryness. I am working on a PB recipe... so I'll know more as I work with that more. But I recently found FA Glory a really nice peanut-like flavor that may help in LOW percentages. Some people have luck using FE Sunseed at low percentages. WF Honey Roasted Peanut is a great sweet peanut flavor that I'm sure could be used to create one... I think the best bet would unfortunately be building a PB. Not particularly thrilled with any PB flavors as they are at the moment.

1.5% FLV-Peanut Butter (rich, creamy, flavorah, etc.)

or

3-5% TFA-DX Peanut Butter (mix with 0.9% saline, I usually do a 1 drop saline to 1ml of this flavoring. A little saline seems to go along way.)

or

3-4% PUR-Chocolate Peanut Butter (not sure if you're into this type of thing but it's worth the try)
