As always, the purpose of this thread is to gather the community to explore a flavor and its many uses. And it's also to have FUN!
Post recipes containing this week's Flavor of the Week, as the star or in a supporting role, with or without development notes. Talk about other people's recipes that use it. Compare and contrast different manufacturers' versions of the FOTW. Ask for help using that flavor in general or to achieve something specific, offer advice, brainstorm ideas, consider substitutions, suggest pairings... really anything at all as long as it's on topic.
#This week's flavor is: COFFEE

All I have to say is flavour art UP!
Easy peasy way to get some coffee in your vape.
Works from 0.25 all the way to 2% depending on what else is involved.
Here's a simple recipe for your pod mods and low power AIO devices.
-
2% FA Up!
-
2% FW hazelnut
-
1% TPA marshmallow
Optional 0.25% FA booster and 0.25% FA hazel grove.
There seems to be a couple newer coffee flavors that are promising like stuff from VT and I haven't tried DIYFS offerings in this category either but they are on the list.
Hey Hash are you noting low power here because the flavor on this one degrades at higher wattage? I'm around 40 watts usually and this recipe sounds tasty.
no low power because its a lot of UP without much creams to balance it out.
if you want a better cappuccino try this
2% (TPA) Bavarian Cream (I actually use DX in this)
0.25% (FA) Booster (tiramisu)
0.5% (FW) Hazelnut
2% (FA) UP (coffee)
0.5% (TPA) Vanilla Swirl
1% (FA) Vienna Cream
steep 10-14 days
I like my coffee how I like my women. Hot, black, and all over my lap.
I have no other pertinent information.
I also like my coffee how I like my women. Without someone else's dick in it.
LAUREN YOU WHORE
Lol my mind immediately went here at the mention of Lauren
TFA Caramel Cappuccino is the most authentic coffee flavor I have found. It neither destroys the coils, nor clogs cotton. Normally this is a hallmark of coffee, tobacco, and tea flavorings. Many shy away from this flavor due to past experiences; which is expected as INW's CC should only used between 1-2 drops per 30ml. Any more will taste like a cooked cockroach.
It can be vaped as a standalone shake and vape; however I recommend cutting the suggested 1-2 drops per 30ml with another mixed juice at a 50/50 ratio. This works especially well with cream and/or recipes. With the next two weeks for FotW being Graham Cracker/Pie Crust & Custard; mix some up in advance if you're a fan of coffee.
Edit: INW to TFA
I do like CC, although we seem to be in the minority.
The only "real" tasting coffee flavor I've ever had was a PG extraction I made from ground fresh beans. But I don't pull it into my lungs because I am worried about the oils.
I came from a cigar background so pulling vapor only into my mouth for that one isn't a big deal. I'm mainly after flavor anyhow
How much time do you put into coming up with these dad puns?
Somehow both too much and not enough at the same time.
Loved /u/RuntDastardly's post for her coffee recipe but never got around to getting the MF Coffee. I subbed in a couple different coffees but got subpar results.
Most of the coffee recipes I've tried get the room note right and even taste good for the first few puffs but quickly turn into a burnt mess.
I'll start with the newer ones I've tried:
VT Arabica Coffee (0.15-0.75%) is a heavenly freshly-roasted coffee bean flavor, very very strong and quite addicting. Not sure if it will be everyone's cup of coffee, but you can't argue about its accuracy. Get it and mix it with your favorite FLV Tobacco. Thank me later!
VT Caffe Latte (1-2%) is also very accurate creamy/milky cappuccino flavor. The dairy notes are gentle and do not distract from the coffee, but they are present, it's a Latte after all!
As for the older ones
WF Crispy Coffee (2%) - Don't get this if you want a coffee flavor, it is a Coffee Crisp bar, and mostly the honeycomb caramel part of it, which I found unpleasantly sweet.
WF Smooth Cappuccino Cream (1-2%) is probably very good underneath the massive black pepper notes I get from it, so I cannot recommend it.
CAP Cappuccino v2 (3-4%) is a very good underrated flavor, thick and creamy, it only needs a little bit of FA Dark Bean or INW Coffee to become a real cappuccino as it is mostly cream.
FLV Irish Cream (1-1.5%) is very interesting as a coffee note, it's not boozy or very buttery, it's not extremely creamy, and it comes with interesting caramel notes.
I hate the cereal notes in FA UP, and find FA Booster very weird. FA Irish Cream is more of a booze-less liquer flavor and more of a filler flavor.
FA Dark Bean is quite reliable and solid at 2 drops per 30ml but it is a distinct flavor and I'm sure some will hate it.
This is also the case with INW Coffee (start with 1 drop per 10ml and work up depending on the mix). It's one of the "love it or hate it" flavors so you should try it for yourself, I adore it.
INW Irish Coffee (1-3%) is also brilliant, the Irish cream part is not heavy/boozy/buttery, so it can work as a coffee flavor in a mix.
So far I've only used FA Up, FA Dark Bean, and RF Coffee SC. FA Up and Dark Bean I've used at 0.15-0.5% and I get a fairly upfront burnt popcorn taste.
RF Coffee SC has actually been pretty palatable at 1-1.5%. It kind of reminds me of a medium roast with a little bit of Splenda or NutraSweet in it. It still has a little bit of the burnt popcorn taste but it is significantly less than the other two and could probably be masked with other flavors or emulsifiers (DFS Holy Vanilla comes to mind).
Hey all, I've got some FA Irish cream I've been itching to use, what would be a nice mellow coffee mix with some sweetness? I've got a bunch of creams and vanilla but I'm clueless on coffee flavors. Thanks all :)
Not a huge fan of vaping coffee flavors, and dont own any coffee flavors (at least ones that are supposed to be coffee).
BUT i can add, that FLV Biscotti tastes very much like a dry coffee cookie or something in that realm. It has some very roasted coffee kind of notes to me. Also a very very very potent flavoring (0.15% is very noticable in a recipe, 0.5% has overpowered anything ive put it in)
Together with next week's flavour, you have this rather well reviewed (39 ratings, 5 stars) recipe from ELR, with TPA espresso: http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/969607/nutty%20coffee
After a one week steep this was pretty horrible, tasted more like mud than anything else. Now after a month I'm loving it. It does taste more like a Turkish coffee (the extremely dark, lots of grit ones), which might explain the Turkish comments on that recipe, but it's definitely worth a shot if you're into coffee flavours.
My Purfect Cup
Caramel coffee w sweet cream 5% Purilum
Caramel light 1% Tfa
French vanilla cream 2% Tfa
Marshmallow 1% Tfa
Steep 7-28 days for the creams to really develope
This Purilum coffee is soo good! Tastes just like a you know who bucks. And it takes well to
whatever you add to it like butterscotch, hazelnut or chocolate. You can sub the marshmallow w
whatever you have and really you can sub anything in this recipe bcuz that’s how good this flavor
is. If you’d like to know it better @mysticrosel gave a great review on it in the flavor wiki
This is my best coffee type vape offering to date I made a while ago that I keep coming back too. http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/1108454/Caramel%20cappuccino
Booster is up pretty high in this at 1.5 but don’t let that put you off the holy Vanilla helps smooth it out and I’m not detecting anything funky. Not really a caramel cappuccino as named but more in line with those coffee chocolates everyone brushes aside and leaves at the bottom of the box!! Cheers!
I had two friends begging me for a coffee mix, ended up going with PUR Caramel Coffee with Sweet Milk which they both loved but had some interesting feedback.
It might have been the additional milk/caramel I added but they mentioned the room note for other people was really bad. One of them has a brewery next door to work that she goes for her vape break and the owner actually banned her from the coffee juice as he said it made the whole place smell of burnt rubber...
Anyone use inw cappuccino at all. I actually love it but the most recent stuff is wayyyyyyyyyyy darker in color than the really old stuff I had laying around.

I have Inawera's Coffee. Somehow, I can't get it to work. I love "real" coffee. For whatever reason, I get a burnt coil flavor whenever I mix with Coffee INW. What am I doing wrong? What would you recommend mixing it with? Thanks for any input on Coffee INW!
How much of it are you using?
Tried at 2% and 4%. 4% was extremely bad. Should I try 1% or less in a single flavor mix? What does it work well with? I'm in a 10ml bottle crisis right now, and need to watch what I make. I put way too much juice down the drain lately.
Put it this way: INW flavors are usually best in the 0-2% range. And they're typically around the same or slightly stronger than FA. And what coffee is supposed to be is .5% FA Espresso.
Also, what coffee works well with - well, IRL the only things that should be added to coffee are a touch of cinnamon, and your alcohol of choice. Although your choice really should be whiskey. Also, adding some coffè/espresso to a hot chocolate is valid. A touch of mint in that mix can work.
FA Dark Bean stained an rda permanently, and the smell overpowered my entire room for a week. Do not recommend, but if you must, be careful.
I crossed paths with FA Dark Bean once, it was not pretty. At 1% in a recipe, my experience was similar. It tastes like badly burnt microwave butter-flavored popcorn got sprayed by a skunk. RDA had to take a long bath in rubbing alcohol to be salvaged. But I've got a tester mixed up here at 0.25% standalone to give it one more shot.
