Disclaimer: I didn't pay for this, shoutout to Decadent Vapours for sending this to me.

Setup: Recoil w/ flavor barrel, Dual 12 wrap 24g 3.5mm SS316 @.32 ohms. 60w power, 450F temp limit. Full Cotton Wicks.

Testing: Decadent Vapours Peach Schnapps, 5% and 10%, 60/40 VG/PG base, Steeped 28 days.

Flavor Description: Yellow peach flavor with some vaguely alcoholic bite.

Fairly artificial peach flavor here. Not straight peach rings, but somewhere on the spectrum. Brigher candy type yellow peach, probably closer to TPA Juicy Peach rather than a more realistic peach like FA White Peach. Nothing that really feels realistic here, no peel, no fleshiness, and not really juicy.

There is something schnapps-ish here. Sort of a vague alcohol bitterness. Doesn't really taste boozy per se, more of a light rubbing alcohol kind of taste without the alchol heat you'd expect from that taste. Comes across as fairly harsh and off-putting next to that artificial peach flavor.

In terms of texture, this doesn't really have a thicker fullness like most of the other Decadent Vapours Flavours I've tried. Feel sort of thin overall, without much to really grab on to. I think the relative thinness here is adding to some of the throat hit. While this is sweet, feels like it could actually be a bit sweeter to carry the peach a bit more strongly.

Off-Flavors: Not sure if it counts as an off flavor for a peach schnapps but the alcohol here is just sort of bitter and plain. Actually feels a bit thin and undersweet for a cordial type liqueur.

Throat Hit: Fairly harsh. This seems to have some TPA Juicy Peach-esque bite to it and I'm not sure the schnapps part of it helping with that.

Percentage testing: At 5% this feels a bit flat. Lighter peach flavor with a bit of a bitter alcohol accent. Doesn't taste particularly full, more harsh and thin.

At 10%, that peach is brighter but doesn't quite feel filled in. Not as sweet as I'm used to from DV. Alcohol accent is more just bitter and doesn't have a realistic boozy edge.

I was curious and tried the standard DV 20% recommendation. Feels sort of violently flavored up this high, with the peach going slightly floral and becoming increasingly sharp. The schnapps part here is just a bit more pronounced but doesn't end up making much more sense. Still kind of bitter and odd.

Just based on these tests, I'd probably be mixing with this around 8% as a primary flavor.

Uses & Pairings: I'd probably end up throwing this together with another fruit in a simple mix. Could pair well with a heavy, syrupy strawberry or maybe something like Pear. Feels like it needs something sweet and thick to counteract some of the throat hit. Flavorwise, would work well with an orange flavor, but the throat hit would end up fairly hellacious.

I'm not sure there is a compelling case to use this as an actual peach schnapps. The booze note here is generic and a bit unpleasant, and the peach could be more vibrant. I'd use TPA Juicy Peach or JF Honey Peach and use a better alcohol accent like FA or VT Brandy and sort of build my own.

Second Opinions: I'm pretty sure this another wholesale or bulk only flavor from Decadent Vapours, at least currently. Not a whole lot of info out there about it.
