I've been lurking on these forums for quite awhile, learning a truly massive amount of DIY knowledge from this community. I'd post more often but I'm somewhat shy, much like a young high school girl attending her first prom, even though I'm a fifty year old balding man living in a creepy apartment. Anyways. I'm offering this recipe as a big Thank You; I sincerely hope everyone here enjoys it and I welcome feedback! Nice feedback with kind words, that is; I get enough abuse on the Internet from the “noobs” I “pwn” in “CS:GO” (I don't know what any of those words mean, I'm just saying them to look more young and hip).
Inspired by various strawberry milk recipes and a desire to blend Real Flavors' new and excellent Strawberry flavor from their super-concentrate line with Jungle Flavor's also excellent Sweet Strawberry, I experimented with this recipe until I was quite pleased with the results. (I also experimented a lot in college, but I won't get into that here. Although if you're Brad from Algonquin College and reading this post, please email me, stud).
Strawberry (RF SC) and Sweet Strawberry (JF): I find blending these together at around two or three percent each provides a wonderful strawberry base. I'm keeping them on the lower percentage side because I don't want the other fruit and citrus flavors to get drowned out... drowned like my spirit after my marriage broke up. At these percentages they're still very prominent (unlike my marriage). I'm very impressed with both these strawberry flavors, and I know for sure my ex-wife wasn't ever impressed with me.
Raspberry (Inawera Koncentrate): At very small percentages it's a wonderful backing note to strawberry. Gives the strawberry flavors a much more bold presence. I wouldn't use it higher than 0.5% unless you're really, really into raspberry. And if you are, hey, I'm not judging you, although it probably means you're a communist.
Lemon Sicily (FA): The high note in this recipe. Lemon Sicily is a wonderfully flexible flavor if used in small percentages, as flexible as my neighbor's attractive wife who does yoga in her living room with her front blinds open. Also pairs very well with the raspberry flavoring (the lemon sicily I mean, not the hot yoga wife).
Biscuit (Inawera) and Cheesecake (Graham Crust): I wanted a thick (but not too thick) subtle vanilla main body to this recipe without drowning out the prominent fruit flavors. The graham crust flavor also gives a very subtle base note to the recipe, and the cheesecake and biscuit also complement each other splendidly. Also, to be honest, I'm a big fan of both these particular flavors, so they end up in a lot of my recipes, especially in the next recipe I plan to post called “What I Vape While Watching The Hot Yoga Wife”.
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (TPA): I added this flavoring as an experiment to blend with the peppery taste some people report with TPA's VBIC. I also get a hint of pepper from it as well, so I matched it with the strawberry flavors as a complement for VBIC's “spiciness”. And I think it works very, very well here. The flavor books I've read have noted that strawberries and pepper actually work well together, so that's the reason I'm using VBIC here. Also, it adds a wonderful high vanilla note to the Biscuit/Cheesecake combination, and a slight effervescence to the recipe. It took me seven times to properly spell “effervescence” because I'm getting old and my mind is slipping, creeping towards the inevitable death that waits for us all with cold, bitter arms...
I hope everyone enjoys this recipe, and a genuine & sincere thank you to the community for all the education and wonderful recipes you've provided myself and many, many others! Expecially /u/ID10-T, I think he's just downright sexy, even sexier than Brad from college. Again, I'd love to hear your impressions on this recipe. All my best to you :)
Edit: Thank you sincerely, everybody, for the very kind feedback! Now you're all holding me to posting the "Hot Yoga Wife" recipe, I guess I should have known better than to make that particular joke, so I'll do that in the near future. I gotta be careful what I write... ;)
How bout a suggested steep time there, handsome? Do you like it while the lemon’s still fresh and forward or do you wait until it fades out like your memories as your once-sharp mind atrophies from old age and ischemic damage until all that’s left are vague impressions of regrets and the image of hot yoga wife’s ass in the downward dog?
I'm a guy with very thick hair in my mid-twenties (also in a creepy apartment), and I want to be your best friend
Will be looking forward to the hot yoga wife recipe. Cheers!
You think this has enough flavor for my breeze? Or would u recommend I up the %’s a bit? What’s your particular smoking apparatus? Not sure how you classify the aspire breeze? It’s not a sub ohm not an rda/Rdta... it’s an all in one vape. Anyway, I’m going to try it as is ty for all the hard work and sharing...
I finished reading this with an open mouthed, dopey expression. I'm just... lost for words.
