Hello, fellow vapers! Since the first time I vaped some good juice, I wondered if anyone tried copying perfume fragrances in E-Juices. I used to try a lot of colognes and made myself a little collection. Fragrances were a big part of my life and my job. I always wondered how close can one get in copying, for example, a unisex classic, CK1 by Calvin Klein. I love that smell and would appreciate a similar sensation in my vape. This cologne has too many notes to get right, I guess, so it would be easier to start with something simpler. Many colognes use musk as a base note, and those are usually my favorite. Have you ever had any experience with musky flavorings? How about floral notes? I don't see them used much in recipes. I would like to hear your thoughts on this topic.
I like perfumes/fragrances. Clearly, your taste/smell senses have evolved beyond mine, because this sounds disgusting to me, maybe as unappealing as the fried chicken vape.
Not all perfume is heavy and thick-smelling. Obviously, they would still need to be toned down a lot to be vapeable. I guess people just got very used to vaping dessert- and fruit-flavored juices. I hope I dont get too disappointed in the end. :)
It’s true, I just got accustomed to those things. I alternate between binging fruit/cream, and unflavored. I’ve been curious about some florals in the past, it’s just when I heard perfume/CK1, I felt like I was being poisoned and my throat was closing up. Florals can be quite enjoyable vapes. If you stick to TFA Honeysuckle and INW Elderflower at first, inw cactus, maybe some of the 'blossom' flavors (cherry or berries, usually) you can ease into the flowery side of life. There's the flower candies from TFA (musk, rose, and violet, so far as I've seen) but I don't know if they're really gonna ease you in. Or you could just go wild with hibiscus and rose with lavender and jasmine... there's a whole lot of places to go weird. And then there's lovage root and horehound...

Great! Those are some amazing read-ups to go through. Thanks a lot. Those will help a lot to start my perfume-project. :) Too bad it's hard to get my hands on many peculiar flavors mentioned in those threads in Germany.
I don't know how much it costs to ship to Germany, but Chef's Flavours in the UK will ship to just about anywhere in the world, and they ship to the U.S. for a very reasonable price. And if they don't carry something you want, you can ask them to carry it and they often will.
Chefs has a fairly decent percentage of German customers. Solubarome in France is another option as well, and they have a very wide selection of florals. Possibly the largest single collection of florals on the market, though to quality for vaping is kind of hit or miss.

And one the subject of vaping cologne... anyone who has smoked, and had a bit of cologne on a fingertip when smoking would recognize the off taste. That exact off taste is easily accomplished with 2% INW Raspberry Melina.
Also, if you want a recipe with musk candy, there have been two posted in the last few weeks. Someone used it in a Turkish delight based juice... one I posted, it tasted like vaping potpourri initially, but over several days it morphs. It's been more and more tasty, so I'd think now that it's probably a recipe that should be steeped for a week.
It's INW Raspberry Malina. Melina slang term for runned down house where local druggies and homeless people stay to drink/do drugs/sleep and quite often sell contraband cigarettes, alcohol and drugs =)
One of the mixers in Mixer's Club was working on recipes modeled after Bath & Body Works fragrances. Perhaps /u/RinVapes can share her expertise. I have only tried one of hers (inspired by Be Enchanted) and I wasn't ready for florals yet! I thoroughly enjoy them now, so I am definitely planning to revisit that one. I am not sure what others she has cooked up, but I think she would be a great resource.
The closest I've gotten to a "musk" is Woodspice by Flavorah at VERY low amounts. It tastes like sandalwood. As Loonicorn mentioned, I've done a couple of recipes based on Bath N Body works scents. Most people think I'm nuts (may be right) but they just smell so lovely I thought I would give it a go. If you google whichever perfume you like, you should be able to find the top notes, base notes, etc. Perfumes may be a little trickier as most people want to avoid their vapes tasting like perfume... but to each their own. My favorite florals are from Flavour Art. FLV has a few nice ones as well. (Sugar Orchid is DIVINE) Even TFA's Honeysuckle and Cherry Blossom are amazing. Just stay low and stick to the main notes in the perfume/scent as if you were to do all of the notes, it gets a bit muddy. Hope that helped.
I think it’s fascinating and another wonderful example of the plethora of endless things to learn and another leg of this rabbit hole. I like it because it’s very uncomfortable to think about vaping perfumes, just not natural. But, why not? For me, because irl if I were to eat the flowers they’re good for me and I tend to like things more that aren’t lol. But, I luv the idea of expanding my sense of taste and maybe learning to like this also then maybe slowly working it into my food as well these florals. Thanks for sharing ...;)
