The nice thing is they never smear when wet. Athough they adhere very well, they're pretty easy to pull off and don't leave a sticky residue. I usually find the tape cheaper on ebay.

For flavor tests I have some tiny .5" x .75" labels that I use as mailing tabs on a VFW newsletter I do each month. They're great for 10ml or 15ml bottles and I cut them in half to label my concentrates that are also shown in the photos. Before that though I just used cut-up standard Avery address labels.

I never label anything.

Pros: I don't have to worry about labels.

Cons: I don't know what the fuck anything is, and even after a smell test I'm still not sure sometimes.

Ive been using one of those DYMO label makers but I already had it. Works like a charm.

But for my one off liquids in devolpment I just use blank address labels with permanent fine tip marker.

Hobby Lobby has labels in the scrapbook/sticker section. I use different kinds from there, as well as regular address labels. I switch 'em up all the time.

Waterproof postage labels...great for perm markers, ink doesn't run when wet, and hella sticky.

I print onto avery labels and tape over with packing tape to make them water proof. I make a few at a time and use sharpie to fill in date, mls etc

For tests I've used a permanent marker to put a number on each bottle, then use the corresponding number in the notes.

For ADVs, I've just used sticky tape to write on since I never need to clean the bottles.

I used to use Avery Labels. They have ones that are the perfect size for 30-100 ml bottles, (mailing label) 10 ml (return address), and unicorns (clear glossy). Their software makes it dead simple to make labels.

I now use Neato Vinyl High Gloss Sticker Sheets, print a bunch of them out at a time, and cut to size.

For my tester bottles, I put my recipes into my phone as initials and the date I make it, like say strawberrykiwi that I make on Feb 3rd would be SK 2/3. I'd write that on my glass bottle in gold paint pen as well.

For bottles I give to friends/coworkers. I just use a paper label. Let them figure it out how to keep it nice. For my bottles on the go I just remember the cap color of my different juices.

I have a little brother label maker. It was £12 at Costco and in a year and a half I have only had to buy label tape once (6 rolls of it on eBay for £20 or so I think). I sell juice to friends of friends and that label maker is a godsend as my handwriting is terrible.

I use these. Needed a cheap way without too much work. Use a fine tip permanent marker to write whatever I want. Pretty much all I need.

Surgical tape (the white one made with fabric) and a sharpie. Works perfect and is cheap.

I use the Avery 22814 glossy white oval labels. I make a bunch of juice to sell at minimal profit to friends and coworkers.

They look awesome, and the software (online) is super simple. My only gripe is that with my Inkjet printer you need to give them a bit of time to breathe (dry) after printing.

I personally don't care how it looks. I use blue painters tape. Write on it with a black sharpie. Cut it with a pair of scissors and slap it on a bottle. I ain't got time for all that extra stuff.

1" blue painter's tape and a Sharpie has always worked just fine for me. They don't wear off fast at all – they definitely will last far longer than it takes to go through a bottle of juice.
