I am placing an order through Chefs today, as they're one of the only vendors carrying their lineup and wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions that I should pick up while I'm at it? I hear great things of their Fizzy Sherbert and Blueberry Jam, but don't want to miss out on others.
TIA
So far the ones I'm very impressed with, and I mean very very very impressed are: 1-avocado cream - delicious avocado cream, light but still recognizable, first avocado vape I ever tried 2-carrot cake - true to the name, carrot upfront, some spices, some nuts and some crust om the exale, some added sweetness ,this is meant to be one shottable, but I managed to make it work it in a very good recipe . Incredibile. Impressive 3- pudding base - whiff it , knukle test it and you will be out of words. I can't immagine a better pudding base 4- bourbon - for me it's miles ahead from Kentucky bourbon tfa. Sweet, boozy, bourbony like the real deal. I'm tempted to drink it straight.
I've got some other flavours from them and they seem promising ( Parrano carrot, english marmolade, jam it, fizzy sherbet, rice base, biscuit base, brandy), but the jury is still out: I'm overbeared with the ones I just described... I will report later
Cheers from Italy!
Grab some Golden Syrup so you can make this.
ID10-T mixed me up some recently so I could try it and it's sooooo good!
Oh my I wish somewhere sold that. That sounds amazing enough to start DIY
I have it on good authority that it will be available in the US soon. Someone, I honestly don't know who, has already contracted with them to start carrying it. I hope its BCF!! The other flavors in that recipe are already available there.
Very strange to see a "Must have" thread for Vape Train - I think this is the first post where they're not being hated on.
My 2c - VT are the worst vendors in this damn country.
Impossible to live without? Yoghurt drink, Fizzy Sherbet, Devon Cream. Great flavors? I havn't tried even half of the ones I have yet but so far I'm really digging the persian lime, shisha raspberry, pudding base, blood orange champagne, brandy, golden syrup, and sweet cream.
VT Honeycomb is lovely. Knuckles tested it today has a Crunchy bar taste. VT Sherbet is meant to be quite tangy too and good for 'fizziness' effect.
I like honeycomb too. I couldn't put it down yesterday.
Di you find it needs to be taken to above 3%? Love the flavour but seems a bit weak.
I haven’t tried that many but so far, Fizzy Sherbet and Golden Syrup are definitely must-haves for me. Amazing ingredients, those two.
Persian Lime is also a very solid one. I will probably be using it much more than any other Lime. I don’t like Shisha Mango all that much but I know a lot of people do. Also not a fan of Caramel Mocha, but I think fans of coffee vapes will probably love it.
Lime Cordial was very weird but not unpleasant. Creme Caramel was disappointing, as was VT Love, and they seem like they might be difficult to work with. Coconut is not good, IMO. Its base is just another suntanny coconut but its top notes are wood with a hint of citrus. People I trust are nuts about that Yogurt Drink and Jam It, but I haven’t gotten around to trying those yet. I’m going to sample their orange flavors next.
I would like to know what you think of their Mandarin.
It tastes like canned mandarin oranges. Not syrupy like eating the ones canned in syrup right out of the can, but sweet and without any peel notes, yet natural. Has some body to it that I would even call fleshy. A little dry, like picking once-canned mandarins out of a salad and eating them. I can’t pick up anything I would call an off note at 2%, though the flavor does run a little soft, it’s probably one you want to use higher than 2% if it’s the main event in a recipe. No TH at 2%, butter smooth, which for a citrus is awesome.
2% sample steeped 6 days. Haven't had a chance to test at a longer steep or in different concentrations yet. So far, I definitely prefer this one over FA Mandarin by a little and over TFA Orange Mandarin by a lot. FE Sweet Orange is still my favorite mandarin type orange though.
Carrot Cake is fantastic- wonderful buttercream frosting with a walnut cake and some Carrot a very true representation of this in vape form.
Lemon Meringue tart is really good - a Lemon curd like taste with a nice baked Meringue and some crust.
Cherry seems to be a nice sweet black cherry (bing) flavour without a medicinal off taste.
Honeycomb is a fantastic flavour Dark Caramel with a light honeycomb texture behind it
I'm slowly testing them, i have done approx 20 so far with another 19 tests set up. Most seem to be decent and true to their descriptions. Once tested i'm dropping the reviews onto ELR for the flavours, i'm Sheerluck_Ohms.
Their Rhubarb Compote is great - it's the only one I've tried so far.
is it a more cooked rhubarb, or fresh and tart like inw?
More cooked, like a good tart rhubarb crumble filling. I wouldn't go so far as to call it jammy, but it's edging that way. It turned out beautiful in a Rhubarb Fool recipe I've been noodling with, so if you're in to that kind of creamy dessert profile it's a champ.
I have there sample pack fizzy sherbet, jam it and sour mate stand outs for me have been sour lemon , strawberry milk, green apple and fizzy sherbet. Waiting for a bit more of a steep before i pass more judgement but i will say it tasts like the other flavours are sort of fading as time goes on.
Just curious... I see a lot of booze flavors mentioned as good. Is it safe to just order all their booze flavors when I order the cherry?
Still testing through the boozes, but from what I can tell, yes. They are all pretty solid. Seem just a bit thin and top heavy, but they actually have a fairly realistic booziness to them. I can see having to layer them with some of the sweeter, heavier booze flavors to get something truly satisfying, but they definitely bring something to table.
