As always, the purpose of this thread is to gather the community to explore a flavor and its many uses. And it's also to have FUN!
Post recipes containing this week's Flavor of the Week, as the star or in a supporting role, with or without development notes. Talk about other people's recipes that use it. Compare and contrast different manufacturers' versions of the FOTW. Ask for help using that flavor in general or to achieve something specific, offer advice, brainstorm ideas, consider substitutions, suggest pairings... really anything at all as long as it's on topic.

Alright, because I’m a lover and not a fighter, I’m going to post a recipe that’s a little unconventional. Some of you may know me from the ecr side of the house, and if any of you are fans of my elixir 06, it’s your payday. I haven’t done any recipe sharing before of commercial stuff until today, but I feel like doing it.
That being said..
Apothecary Elixir Co. Elixir 06
-
TFA Apple Pie - 1.75%
-
FA Cookie - 2.5%
-
FA Cream Fresh - 1.5%
-
FA Fuji Apple - 1.25%
-
FA Marshmallow - 0.5%
-
FA Meringue - 1.5%
-
FA Vienna Cream - 1.0%
-
5% Acetyl Pyrazine - 1.0%
-
Apple pie and Fuji Apple make up the primary fruit base here. The goal was a very fruit forward Apple Jacks flavor, and the combination of these two worked out perfectly.
-
FA Cookie + AP are what I came up with for the primary cereal base. The real trick here is the AP, it’s vital for the cereal crunch and graininess without using a standard cereal concentrate.
-
Vienna Cream / Meringue / Marshmallow - this is the cereal milk base that I chose, Marshmallow for fluffiness and Meringue for that sugary milk flavor and cream fresh for the milky cream. Had I to do it over with I probably would have gone a Bavarian Cream route but this works well, and it’s in production and I can’t change it anyway.
I believe I covered most of the bases, but if anyone has any questions I’ll be happy to answer them.
<3 Randy
Wow, Randy, thank you!
Hopefully someone likes it anyway ;)
Cereal’s one of my favorites, and when I first started working on 06 I wanted it to be done in a way that didn’t use a generic cereal base. Nothing stupid complicated or anything like that, but it’s a pretty solid recipe that’s had solid performance in the marketplace.
Not doubting you, just want to double check on the amount of AP. TFA is a 5% dilution, so I would use that at 2%. Sounds scary.
Pretty cool how you disclose the flavors in each recipe, as well as D/A/AP amounts. Everyone should be so transparent.
Thanks for posting this!
Hey my attempt at a clone was close! I agree, I love how transparent you are about ingredients, and you make some damn fine juice. Thank you for being one of the peeps that helped get me off smokes when I first started!
Wow, thanks Randy! Heading to your website to purchase a few small bottles to show support of open-source "premiums".
Somehow I missed this but luckily not so I couldn't still comment. You are awesome. Really. My experience ordering from you was legit amazing. I loved how you had made it possible so I could try your juices while my brother was visiting and still use a coupon code from a sale (this was ages ago before I was more committed to DIY). At the time, I think I was still vaping commercial and heavier flavors. Each one I bought found it's way into my rotation in it's own unique way. I loved the peanut tobacco off the bat, the M was always there to clear my sinuses with my palette during winter, the 01 and 05 have recently become my most lovely summer vapes and held up over the long steep. They're all fantastic and I intend to finish reviews for all of them on juicedb. I also love the website transparency. You totally have all my respect.
now im going to mix up 2 60's of this!
Is there anything I can do with TPA Rice Crunchies besides chucking it in the garbage?
You could try
Dinner Lady Rice Pudding Remix
or
And see if any of those inspire you to find a use for it.
Try this recipe :
( TPA) Rice Crunchies 5% (FA) Marshmallow 3% ( FW ) Yellow cake 1.5% ( CAP ) Vanilla custard v1 1.5% ( CAP ) Golden Butter 0.5% ( CAP ) Super Sweet 0.25%
Love the recipe and am going to mix it up tonight. Add 1% FE Sweet Rice maybe? or 0.5% Acetyl Pyrazine?
By the way, I think you're right about using FA Marshmallow. It's way better than TFA Marshmallow for that mallow taste. Would adding 1.5% FLV Marshmallow be overkill?
Nice, this is the FOTW I've been looking forward to the most. For me, Cereal 27 is the flavor GOAT. It's super versatile, so many simple fruit or cream combos work wonders.
I know these have been done to death, but here's my God Milk inspired strawberry cereal:
-
CAP Cereal 27 3.5%
-
FA Cream Fresh 1%
-
TPA Marshmallow 1%
-
TPA Strawberry 3%
-
TPA Strawberry Ripe 3%
-
TPA Dragonfruit .75%
-
CAP Super Sweet .25%
Only messed with cereal once, and it was for a guy at work that was spending too much on a juice called Cannoli Be Breakfast. Don’t know who makes it, but it’s like a cannoli with Froot Loops or something. With zero experience in cereal or cannoli mixing, I adapted Goldfish18’s Cannoli and added some shit to it like this:
- TFA Bavarian Cream- 2%
- INW Biscuit- .5%
- CAP Cereal 27- 1.5%
- CAP Fruit Circles- 2%
- FA Meringue- .75%
- CAP Sugar Cookie- 3%
- CAP Vanilla Custard- 1.5%
I hardly tried it, but from what I remember I thought it was a bit over flavored for my tastes. Guy at work never asked for a second bottle either, so I guess it sucked. But he also started in on it the day after I mixed it, and it looks like a week steeper at least to me.
These are works in progress.

>fruity pebbles
Try using less fruity flakes, like around .5-1%, and dropping crunch berries. I've found Fruity Flakes really shines in low percentages. I'm also on version 9001 or so. also check out RF Fruit pebbles SC, it's pretty delicious and can help push fruity flakes more towards the cereal rather than... whatever that lemon is. also instead of VBIC try TFA Marshmallow ~1% or CAP Sweet Cream 1% + FA Meringue .5%. or TFA Bavarian Cream for the milk. for more crunch try CAP Cereal 27.
here are - my last - three attempts. The first link is pretty good but I made a major mistake putting super sweet in it. I'm very sensitive to sucralose and can't stand it. second link is pretty standard and not very good. I can't remember how the third turned out but it wasn't close enough for me.
I'll get it some day... Thought i'd have more for this post since I attempt cereal mixes near daily. Guess i'll write some notes and come back to this thread.
I love FW Rice Krispies. Just saying.
It's jacked full of AP and it's incredibily dry. I've used it as a nougat flavoring a lot of times. Really good in yogurt vapes.
It's interesting you say that as I was flavour testing one week steeped 6% FW Rice Krispy Type, as it's called now versus 6% TFA Rice Crunchies.
FW Rice Krispies had the A.P. and some sweetish malty taste but no rice crispy taste. On the other hand the TPA Rice Crunchies had a very slight rice crispyish taste and more texture.
To the steeped 6% TPA Rice Crunchies I added: 0.5% Acetyl Pyrazin: 1% FE Sweet Rice 2% FA Marshmallow
Tastes quite nice. But still working on a Rice Krispy Type Recipe. There's some mental looking ones on ELR though. crazy percenatges. My lungs quiver when looking at them.
I've been really enjoying FA Breakfast Cereal. Tastes like Kix's cereal to me. It has more of a ADV quality over CAP's Cereal 27 IMO as it has a very dark flavor to it.
FA Breakfast Cereal 3%
FW Fruit Rings 4%
This is probably my favorite Fruit Loops vape I've tried yet. When I'm in the mood I'll throw some creams into it. I've tried all the 10+ flavor renditions of this profile and it just gets muddled and messy. FW Fruit Rings is the best Fruit loops flavoring I've tried from any company. Cap's new one is comically weak. It doesn't have a super strong lemon flavor straight off the shake and if you find it does it fades into a more balanced flavor in 3-5 business days.
Another good one to check out is FLV Tricks Cereal. It's fallen under the radar but I found it very authentic and enjoyable. Around 3% does it for me. I usually mixed it with some Cap Cereal 27 but now I was going to shoot to try it with FA's version as Trix has a lighter cereal flavor to it so I think it will fit better.
You clued me in on FLV Tricks. That convinced me to pick it up and sub it in place of a tfa flavor for Silly Bird. Now I am def getting FA Breakfast Cereals.
Right on man, I think you'll enjoy it considering how much you like cereal vapes.
Well to get off topic. I still haven't gotten around to mixing your recent cereal vape yet. I will after I write this out. The last year or so I had the hardest time tasting anything or smelling in general and now I know why. It made me not even want to mix anymore because it was so futile. This story is long but the full thing would take me an hour just to write it up. I'll give you the compressed version since we were talking about it a while ago.
We got our 30 day notice at our old place last month and the housing market right now is insane. Rent went up by 300-400 bucks a month and the prices of houses went up 30-50k easy. On top of that there really isn't any where to get a place anymore. So much demand so little supply. Where we live is the top place to move right now so we're getting flooded with people taking all the available housing up. Well anyways I throw a hail mary and decide to apply to buy a house even though I thought my credit wasn't ready yet. I got approved but nothing is getting sold at my price range. Well this lady drops the price on her house by 35k and I just happened to notice it 10 minutes after. We called her and viewed it the next morning. It had pretty much everything I wanted besides a garage or second bathroom but considering there was no other option I put in an offer right after. Thousands of others inquired about the house the next day. Luckily we were the first ones to view and put an offer in so she took ours. I still look at houses to buy over the last month and still, not a single one is in our price range. It blows my mind.
Well she accepted but I could only get an FHA loan and the house had some issues that she wasn't willing to fix. We we worked out a deal that we could move in for free for a month to get the house ready to get FHA approval. So we were pulling 12-15 hour days moving our shit out of our old house and doing light renovations on the new one. It was fucking hell and not what I imagined buying our first house would be like. It was worth it though. We are coming to the end of it and are able to have a little more free time to do our own things.
The reason we had to get out of our old house ASAP was because the owner decided she wanted to sell it ASAP. Well she told us if we could get out in 20ish days we would get our full deposit back. So we wanted to do it. Well she had someone interested in buying and flipping the house and had the inspector come out. After about an hour he listed a million problems with it structurally. The floor and or the roof were starting to cave in. The ceilings were cracking in giant straight lines. He went into the attic and only wandered around for a few minutes before he came down and asked if we had been feeling sick? Well me and my girlfriend have both had no energy and feel dumpy all the time. He told us that it had some of the worst black mold he's ever seen. The entire roof was covered in it. We have been living in that in constantly inhaling it for probably a year or more. He told us that with the roof and mold to get out right now. We were in serious danger of having severe health issues on top of randomly dying when the roof did cave. A bubble where the water was pooling in the ceiling were only getting held back by the paint. Which one spot was right above where I slept. So with knowing that and having nowhere to go, this house I randomly found right after she dropped the price was a blessing.
It's only been a month and I feel like I can run a mile every night. I can breath so much easier and I can finally taste my favorite mixes to vape! On top of my overall mental health has improved considerably. I thought getting that 30 day notice was the worst news we could have gotten but it turned out it was the exact definition of a blessing in disguise. Anyways, that's why I haven't been around very much. Fixing the house, working and moving was all I did for weeks. It's been a wild ride that we both never want to do again but considering how much better we both feel it was worth it.
So glad to hear things are looking up! I wondered where you'd been. You been getting right! And the new home deal has been closed? Very cool! Glad that your health is improving too. That black mold causes many many issues, mostly respiratory. Good you got away from that.
Both homes we've bought have been FHA, nothing wrong with that. And we too had to do some...creative things to get into the first one. Sounds like it was meant for you to get that house. I wish y'all the best with it!
I have to ask, does a good Trix flavoring actually exist?
When I was a new vaper I tried a homebrew Trix at a local shop that was spot on, and chased it down to no avail... I've tried a couple of the "Rabbit" Flavorings but they just aren't right and are actually pretty nasty. Also a couple recipes with 10 different fruit flavor combos and nothing seemed right.
Silly Bird A co-worker has bought 120ml each month for at least 5 months now. And I plan on picking up and trying FA Breakfast Cereal in place of 27 thanks to /u/chewymidget's endorsement.
Despite some people's sensitivity to lemon pledge, I really like TFA fruit circles and how it tastes and smells like you're eating a dry handful. I mix up a batch of Dragon Loops when I have a fix. The dragonfruit can be altered or omitted as you see fit, as it is a rather jazzy pairing for fruit circles. Don't be scared of the percentages unless you experience sensitivity issues when using TFA Fruit Circles, though I will say the dragonfruit + cream combo helps.
Is there a Special K recipe anywhere?
That sounds very boring? But any of the nonspecific cereals should get you pretty close: TFA Sweet Cereal Flakes, FA Breakfast Cereal, CAP Cereal 27.
Probably would be I suppose but always been a favourite of mine.
If anyone is interested in a delicious Apple Jacks you can try OoO Apple Jacks although there is one caveat... separation .. really nailed the profile and its delicious but I’m a little nervous about what looks like oil bubbles in the mix prior to shaking ... maybe someone who has tried it can chime in ?

Man oh man, someone please tell me an awesome recipe for lucky charms! I've tried this one: http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/150192/Lucky%20charms but at 10% it just dries out my mouth and it isn't sweet enough for me. Best lucky charms I've had was from mech sauce.
This is mine... I’ve been happy with it for a while.
http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/651310/Lucky+Charms+New
Thanks, I'll put the missing flavors on my next order. Why the strawberry?
To be honest, it was a request by the person who asked me to make the recipe. I didn’t think it would work but when compared side by side with the non strawberry lucky charms, it just tasted better objectively. Omitting the strawberry might give you a more authentic Lucky Charms taste however.
