If you just want to follow recipes, it isn't necessary. If you want to develop your own recipes or adapt other's to your own preference, it certainly helps. Mixing 10 ml in 30 ml bottles is fine.

I think your question should be, "What DONT you guys use CAP Sugar Cookie in?" Haha! In all seriousness, I find myself using it in a lot of mixes. 1-2% used for a supporting bakery note, or if I'm looking to add a little grainy texture to something like a strawberry and cream. 3-6% used for main bakery note. Lastly, it is good on its own though you will find it is pretty bland. Try it at 6-8% single flavor, let it steep a few days, and this will give you some good ideas of what it will be best used for.

Well, it kinda depends on what acid was used in making the nic salt base. Citric acid, for example, can totally kill certain flavor molecules. Which would lead to unpredictable results if it takes out the main flavor note of a concentrate and left the remainder... Other acids may have similar effects.

Generally, you may have to adjust recipes through trial and error based on how the nic affects them.

I woul take the meringue Down to 0.5 and the pear down to 0.25.

I prefer e-liquid-recipes for their calculator and the what can I make feature, but I search for recipes on alltheflavors.com. In my experience, the recipes on all the flavors is consistently higher than what you find on e-liquid-recipes.

Lots of useful information there. A common problem with lemon is that freshly mixed, it can be sharp and harsh, yet it can quickly fade in a mix if you let it steep. Using too much of a single lemon turns it into a detergent. The key to getting the full lemon flavor, with enough punch as you say, is probably to combine a soft and mellow lemon with a strong and sharp one. The links above covers which ones would be suitable for that.

I use FE Lemon for a great punchy lemon. But if you're trying to match commercial liquid, it's probably either TFA or CAP Juicy Lemon

Lemon Sicily tends towards Lemon Pledge for the first little bit. A really short steep fixes that. LA Lemonade is a staple. (And yes, I spike it with the Lemon Sicily.) It's infinitely variable. Also, you should look into some cooling agents. Otherwise, it's kinda more like Neocitron than lemonade... (I was never one to try drinking warm/hot lemonade.)

Do you want to go down the cherry rabbit hole? I have 8 different cherry flavors, plus cherry-esque flavors like Marzipan and Amaretto.

The trick to cherry, I'm thinking, is finding a way to make the off-notes (plastic, White Rum) work in a recipe.

You can also try mixing some lime with the cherry and hope it masks the off tastes.

Use the black cherry with another cherry flavor such as TFA Cherry Extract or INW Cherries, or with a cola flavor such as FA Cola, and keep it at 0.75% or below to avoid that medicinal note it gets.

Posting a flavor list will be helpful but at 50/50 wattage shouldnt matter much. So you should be able to mix as normal. And yes, more pg means less clouds. I have a stealth vape recipe i use when i can't smell like a candy factory that uses 75% pg. I'll answer more later when i get off work if no one else does.

For personal use I wash bottles with warm-hot water and let them air dry. Havent noticed any change in flavours compared to glass bottles.

Try the INW plum at 1% solo and see if it's more palatable. 3% is basically top end.

Well, you seem to have completely bypassed both of my main profiles - straight fruits and beverages - and one of my secondary ones (candy) and skirted around the final one (tobacco), and only vaped custards/creams and bakeries (the two I don't touch).

For tobacco recipes, search for pretty much any of /u/chemicalburnvictim's recipes. I'm not really sure who the go-to for candy recipes would be... If you like Kiwi, you should try Coop's Kiwi Bourbon, and you should try Pickle Gibson from /u/ID10-t just because... that'll give you a start on the 'adult' beverage type recipes. I'm still perfecting some hot chocolate recipes, but in the 'non-alcoholic beverage' profile, you should try:

It's possible that they could be extracting nicotine salts from a natural source. I'm not sure that it's the best or wisest approach, but it would be good for marketing, for a while. Until people realized that either the natural source was either tobacco (which vaping really wants to keep separate from as much as possible) or a modified tomato plant (getting the anti-GMO idiots up in arms) or whatever.

The solvent is almost always PG, it's just vastly superior to VG for the purpose. If it doesn't say VG specifically, it's most likely not.

It is the hobby standard to use 1.0g/mL for flavors. Quite honestly, I used to try to stay up on SG for all my flavors when I started mixing, but realized it's a huge PITA and that you'll still maintain an identical profile when using 1.00 vs ~1.04 or whatever. It also makes recipe development about ten times faster.

alltheflavors.com assumes 1 ml = 1g for flavors and lots of recipes on e-liquid-recipes.com do too, so if you're mixing up recipes from there you should stick to that so the recipe will be exactly what the recipe author intended.

The only real downside to that assumption is that you'll never mix exactly the volume you're mixing for (e.g. 30ml).

Let's take Dinner Lady A Lemon Tart Remix for example:
If you mix up 30ml using 1ml = 1g for all flavors, you'll end up with 4.14 ml instead of the actual ~4.37 ml you'll need with the special gravities considered. Your calculator will tell you the weight of the bases you should add[0] so you end up with 30 ml in total (25.635 ml), but as you're adding less flavor than you technically should add, you'd end up with 29.77 ml instead. At 100 ml, you'd be off by 0.76 ml, so still not a real issue.

The issue becomes worse with smaller batches because the scales (besides their general imprecision) usually only measure in 0.01 g increments, meaning being off by 0.01 g could drastically change the recipe, but then again, the common scales aren't too precise anyway so that's already a prevalent risk when creating small batches.

[0]: this is where ATF uses the special gravity because pure VG has a gravity of 1.260 g/ml because that's a substantial difference to PG and nicotine.

"Better" is almost (there are some exceptions) not the right question to ask about flavors, because the only correct answer is almost always the same: depends on what you're using it for.

I'd almost always reach for TFA Butter first, though... it's wonderfully DAAP heavy and tastes more like actual butter to me. CAP Golden Butter is more like butter-flavored wax. But I've tried recipes where it worked wonders and if I suspected TFA Butter was causing problems with other ingredients in my recipe, I'd switch to CAP Golden and see if I could get it work instead.

You might also want to check out CAP Butter Cream. It's supposed to be buttercream icing but it tastes more like sweetened butter to me, and it can add richness, sweetness, and butter flavor to your recipe.

• Try vaping juices that are as different from eachother as possible (it can be hard but it helps). For example, i LOVE bakery flavors but run into the same issues you do. So i always try to keep a fruity or mint flavor on hand when my senses get dulled. (it helps to have two different setups for different profiles)

• Drink even more water

• try to avoid chain vaping... its hard but it helps a lot.

• Try to eliminate as much spitback as possible. I find that spitback really messes with my sense of taste/smell.

• this one is kinda hard, but eat and try to be as healthy as possible. the better you treat your body, the better you will be able to sense everything around you.

I feel like im forgetting something but thats all i can think of off the top of my head. I have recently been getting the same issues as you so ive looked into it a bit. Most of the time, vaping less is the best option, but also the hardest option.

The only thing that has reliably worked for me in the long run is reducing the amount of flavoring. You might be shocking your senses in the first couple of drags, turning them numb. Well, technically it's just your brain ignoring the excessive input. Try cutting a recipe in half or more, see if you last longer.

Try eating spicier food. And more citrus. Drink tea (not cream or sugar or any crap like that, I said tea... a spot of lemon in it is fine, tho) sometimes. Try to cut back your salt intake. And everything else that's been suggested.

Oh, and throw a menthol vape in every so often.

What's worked for me is rolling my tongue on the inhale. I haven't gotten vapers tongue in months since. It sounds stupid but it has worked.

First the CAP by itself first in a small batch, at around 2%, and it'll answer this question for you better than anyone here can.

It's inevitable that you will buy from multiple vendors if you need specific Flavors. At least that's what I've found.

Well, it's like this: if you make 1 juice with a single flavor @4%, and a second juice with a single flavor @8%, then mix them, you will have a juice with flavor 1 @2% and flavor 2 @4%. Which may be what you intended, or maybe not. Also, do you hate your throat? 50/50 base means you're going to have more PG than VG in the final mix. That's brutal.

Now, that aside... if you love custards or something, it's possible to make a couple liters of a custard base, steep it a month or so, and then add a specific amount of flavoring and/or PG to make batches of flavored custards quickly (without needing much steep time, that is).

tl;dr Yes you can blend finished juices, but take into account that any flavors in those juices will be reduced, because the amount of each flavoring is being divided by the total volume.

Take two chocolate flavors, for example. TFA White Chocolate is basically at its best @~11%? FA Cocoa is at its best @.75%

Different brands of flavors are at different concentrations.

Also, check when a recipe is from. Recipes from 3-4 years back are about double strength because they had shitty gear back then that didn't produce much in the way of flavor.

If you make a 3 mg/ml batch, it will contain 0.15% TFA BR. If even detectable, it should be fairly easy to cover up.

If you mean just 3 you'll want to buy more. Very few taste even semi-decent on their own. Find some popular recipes in our Recipe of the Year threads or on alltheflavors.com that appeal to you and practice mixing those first.

Once you have the basics down, you can start single testing flavors to eventually develop your own recipes. It takes a lot of practice and trial and error.

You should be ok on all the other supplies. If you plan to mix near 70/30 you'll go through your VG must faster than PG. May want to consider a scale accurate go .01 eventually as well.

You’ll want to make sure you aren’t just buying Glycerine. It needs to be whatever USP-grade equivalent is in your country Vegetable Glycerine. Buy more than 1 kg. Your scale needs to be accurate down to 0.01. Not 0.1. That is not good enough for mixing purposes.

What flavors? You can’t use just any flavors you find. And if you are buying the right kinds, there’s no guarantee that what you get will be vapeable.

The total amount of ethyl alcohol in your bottle is relatively low (most likely far less than 1% of your total mix). At room temp most of it evaporates into the air in the top of your bottle. You open the cap at some point and that tiny amount of gas dissipates.

This doesn't happen in the flavor bottle because the alcohol is far more concentrated, and typically has less air to evaporate into.

VG should only taste slightly sweet. If you can pick up any off taste or smell, or if it's getting discolored or watery, it's time to dump it.

Yes. But it won't exactly be unflavored anymore, since TFA Smooth does have a little taste to it. TFA Whipped Cream at 2% or less will give you a similar effect, if that's something you already have that'll save you from buying Smooth.

Uh... if you're using 100mg/ml nic source, 3% of your final mix will be that nic source. If you use 48mg/ml nic, it's more like 6.25%... assuming you use flavors, most of them are in PG, and most recipes will be 5-10% flavoring so you'll likely have a finished juice that's ~10-15% PG. If you're ok with 90+% VG juice, that's fine. Otherwise, figure out how much PG your nic contributes, and only make recipes with percentages of flavor that are high enough to give you a PG content you're comfortable with.

Or, y'know, get a little bottle of PG to thin out those really small percentage recipes.

Your nicotine base that you're mixing with is 3mg/ml in PG?

I haven't used melon nearly enough to make any recommendations, but it has been "flavor of the week" twice already, and it's due again in a couple of weeks. This and this might give you some idea of what to get. There are also 15 flavor reviews of melon to check out. Hope that helps.

CAP honeydew is pretty solid imo. My favorite recipe with it is a variation on coop's kiwi bourbon. Replace the kiwi with 2% honeydew

CAP Cantaloupe is a good one, especially when mixed with other melons.

TFA Honeydew is the most-used honeydew, it's polarizing. Some people really love it, some people really hate it. You should try it and decide which side you're on. Just be careful with it. It's very strong, start at 2% or less.

I don't store my stash in any particular fashion, except for nic in the freezer, and concentrates that are organized on shelves. They are kept in their original containers, which is a mix of glass and several types of plastic. Never really had anything go bad over the years of anything other than old age. Just make sure you keep all liquids away from heat and direct sunlight and you're fine. As for kids and pets, don't let them get anywhere near your nic, I can't stress that enough.

Nicotine for long term storage in the freezer. VG and PG for long term I keep on a shelf in the basement. It's dark and cooler down there.

Mixed eliquids, Flavorings, nic and base for use I just keep in the cupboard. Room temperature but dark.

Also, recommend glass, it's washable and reusable, and does not asborb any of the eliquids into it the way plastic will over time. You can pretty much get a few small cases of glass and have them forever. Whereas plastic you will be throwing it out and having to buy bottles over and over in the long term.

Your Grack Juice is no longer going to be Grack Juice with these subs. Especially the Cactus. The unique flavor of Cactus is pretty much what makes this recipe what it is. I would just mix something else until you can get what you need. If you are just looking for a grape/berry don't mix Grack Juice, just mix your Harvest Berry with some grape and call it a day!
