Boost Juice Bars: Fresh Juice/Smoothie Taste Recipe
submitted over 7 years ago by mznstr

Hi all,

I've been vaping for about 6 months now and for approximately 2 months making my own juices. Mostly I've been mixing ready recipes from enyawreklaw and other stars, but have tried doing my own stuff as well.

Recently I've been asked to try to prepare an ejuice version of Boost Juice Bar 'All Berry Bang', see the following: http://www.boostjuicebars.co.uk/index.php/all-berry-bang/

The only smoothie recipe that I have found in the internet suggests that the following is required to replicate it:

  • 160g Wildberry low fat frozen yoghurt.
  • 100-120g Apple Juice.
  • 100g Fresh mixed berries: strawberry, raspberry, blue/black berries, etc. or frozen berries.
  • 150g Ice cubes. Reduce if using frozen berries.

Source: https://www.recipecommunity.com.au/drinks-recipes/energy-boost-berry-bang/nmk6fp3t-ce0f0-238917-cfcd2-s60wqbcz

Based on a number of wiki articles here, I have worked out the following basic recipe:

  • CAP Vanilla Custard v1 (0.5%)
  • TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (4.5%)
  • FA Forest Fruits (3.0%)

'Creamy base' adopted from enyareklaw: https://diyordievaping.com/2016/11/14/top-5-diy-e-liquid-support-bases-beginner-diy-tips/

Alternatively, this could be done with yogurt base:

  • FA Cream Fresh (1.5%)
  • FLV Greek Yogurt (4.0%)
  • FA Yogurt (1.5%)
  • FA Forrest Fruits (3.0%)

Yogurt base adopted from: https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/7963

Could you please let me know the following:

  • Is there anyone, who is familiar with the drink and does this recipe look right i.e. flavours used and concentrations?
  • Is it worth trying to break down the 'forrest fruit' flavour into strawberry, raspberry, blueberry and blackberries?
  • Are you aware of good recipes (where single flavour concentrations are sensible, not 10%+ as suggested in e-liquid-recipes.com recipes) that replicate smoothies from Boost Juice Bars or similar?

You may want to check out CAP Harvest Berry.

I wouldn’t go with Vanilla Custard. I’d go the Yogurt route. My fav yogurt base is as follows:

  • FW Yogurt @ 4.0%

  • CAP Creamy Yogurt @ 1 %

  • FA Vanilla Classic @ 1 %

You’ll probably also want to add a cooling additive. I suggest FA Polar Blast or WS-23.

Are you aware of any decent guides/articles that suggest how to turn food/drinks into ejuice? I guess it's all trial and error but there might be something that I've missed...

There’s no article or a guide for that. You just need to know your flavors. And know the inspiration behind it.

I've been trying to emulate T-juice forest affair with no luck.. Played with most of the berry flavours..

Cherry berry, sweet strawberry, boysenberry and a little bit of a sweetish apple hidden underneath doesnt taste like it.. But it is good and might be more what you're after.

Cus I'm lazy and only mix 30ml batches as needed I cbf converting to percent 1ml cherry berry 0.5ml boysenberry 0.5ml strawberry (sweet) 0.2ml Fuji apple or similar.

Most smoothies contain banana as a thickening agent. Maybe throw banana cream in there with the yoghurt version, I don't know if it is a good concentrate to use.

But you could perhaps single flavour test your berry concentrate and have a rough guess at what it is meant to taste like, and add more of the profiles you wish to accent.

I.e. you taste strawberry, raspberry and blackcurrant. You can easily change the focus with additional of your preferred fruit. It's the same way garam masala works in so many varieties of curry!
