Anyone still ordering from Wizard Labs?
submitted over 7 years ago by woopdaritis

It's been quite a while since I've had to stock up on supplies. Last time I did, I ordered from Wizard Labs and had a great experience. I love that they offer large amounts of flavors in squeeze bottles, and the shipping is really quick for me.

But since then I heard about plenty of people having their CC info stolen from their site. So I was just wondering if they ever fixed it, or if anyone is still ordering from them. Thanks!

I quit using them because they sent me glass vials and using pipettes is annoying. Bull City + Nicotine River is my go to now

I ordered from them recently because they had every flavor I needed. The bottles came in plastic and they provided squeeze bottle tops to replace the caps with.

I was surprised because they used to use glass vials and I had my pipettes ready.

What size bottles did you buy?

Various different sizes but nothing below 30mL and nothing more than 120mL.

I use them for nicotine but flavors I prefer from bull city for the same reason as you.

I don't worry about online purchases anymore. I just cancelled the card I had been using for online purchases and got a new one that I only use offline and in person. For internet purchases I started using www.Privacy.com.

Every single online vendor gets a virtual VISA locked exclusively to them, with spending limits based on my current purchases. Any transaction attempt that I didn't explicitly authorize just gets declined, and none of the virtual card numbers even link back to my main card.

Privacy.com puts the control you have with physical cash into the internet. Works with free trials too. Open a new card, start a trial, cancel the card immediately. No need to worry about cancelling the service because the card is closed, lmao.

Sorry if this sounds like a shilled advertisement for Privacy. I've just been really enjoying the service and it gives good peace of mind.

Fyi...you can create merchant specific cards as well as one time use cards. I create a new card every time.

They fixed it. It'll be some other company next though, most likely one still using an open source software for payments. You should be taking other types of precautions to protect yourself from this, rather than worrying about which vendor got hit most recently or which one gets hit next.

Not necessarily the post itself, but some great advice in the comments:

> open source software for payments

really is not the problem here. Almost any online purchase is going to run all your private information through openssl on apache2/ngix.

Yes, thank you. Open source software can be far more secure than closed source, for many reasons.

"Hackers" love finding vulnerabilities in closed source code.

That's what I get for parroting what I've read that made sense to me.... probably propaganda from the more expensive CC processors. What is the real problem?

well, bad/rushed/sloppy software design, it can happen anywhere. Also, open source sites are still using the same proprietary CC processors on the back end.

The real problem is that humans make errors and, because of that, anybody can be hacked.

Common oversights that are preventable range from something as stupid as not changing the default admin passwords or leaking keys to someone social engineering themselves into an admin account.

And sometimes developers are just incompetent.

Why not use Nicotine River? Prices are so cheap especially if you buy anything that does not need to be flown. After two years of making my own juice I always do a price check on the major three companies a Nicotine River hands down is the cheapest and has the biggest selection IMO.

Besides wizard labs was also that other store (if I can remember the name).

Anyways have a good day people

Unless things have changed recently, I've found their shipping options/prices to be sub-optimal for orders under $50. Gremlins DIY is another good source for flavors.

No problem! I haven't seen anyone post about it in a few months it feels like, so they may have sorted it out. But it's a good idea to keep an eye on it.

I just ordered some supplies from them last week. Ordered on a Wednesday and had it on my front door on Saturday morning, I live in California and they shipped it from Flordia. I've always been satisfied with wizard labs 5/7

you can use PayPal if no nicotine in your order. I still use them, and my next order with nicotine, I will just go get a prepaid CC/Gift card and use that for the nicotine order. if you dont put nic in the cart, paypal is an option. they have also switched to a new CC processor since the problem. ( I am local and went in and talked to them about it so that I could still order from them and at least feel safe)

No need to go through the hassle of prepaid cards. Just use Privacy.com.

My brother orders from them regularly with no issue 😮

So I order from wizard labs pretty regularly. I have gotten my cc# stolen exactly once after a purchase. Called my cc company, got a new one issued, and the charges cancelled.

They did fix the issue, and went with a new payment system.

Still order from them regularly for nic, dilute, and flavors. Sort of miss the old glass bottles (mostly because they used to be closer to 33-35ml for the price of 30) but honestly the new squeeze bottles are super nice.

Prices include shipping

Nicotine River, Shipping is $3.50

Acai- TFA 10ml $1.29 Total. 4.79

Wizard Labs, Shipping is 3.50

Acai- TFA 8ml $1.49 Total 4.99

To say its SOOOOOO much better, is literally arguing over peanuts. Wizardlabs been in the game a while, nicotine river might be good too, they corrected the CC thing by adding Paypal I believe. anyone who uses the CC thing has a deterent, all popular places, heartland vapes, bullcityflavors, vapingzone, it happened to all of them. Wizardlabs is good and used by the older and newer mixers, Nicotine River is used by older and newer mixers. Wizard labs paved the way hahaha

Yea, still order. No issues. Building a new order now. Have placed 5 in the last year.

I've never had an issue with Wizard Labs... I've just found places that process/ship faster with better selection.

I don't trust wizrad. Twice I've placed reiews and they're not letting them post. They have many good items, but they get some stuff that is not fit to vape, and they'll sell it anyway, hide the negative reviews under the guise of everyone's taste is different. How about their Lemon II flavor- ZERO SMELL or TASTE, totally not a good flavor, but they hide the nagative reviews. Don't believe me, try to post a review and you'll see.

I no longer trust wizard labs

I was identity thefted twice from them for well over $500. They offer absolutely no resolution.

One time was with a card I used exclusively with them. 100% they steal your money.

Shop at your own risk. I'd suicide bomb their headquarters before I gave them another dime.

Lol they stole your money. Do you have any idea how online theft works?

obviously not, I'm not sure a massive corp. like WL would exclusive need your $500, you should go get a online finance account lesson from your bank.
