Nicotine River's liquid nic come in a plastic asprin bottle?
submitted over 7 years ago by smokesyourbud

Around Christmas, I decided to dive into DIY juice. I just received my first of two shipments from Nicotine River and I was surprised that the nicotine came in a plastic asprin bottle. When I first saw it, I thought that maybe there was a small glass bottle inside the plastic one and that was not the case. I peeled off the metallic safety and to my surprise, my finger ended up with a sizable glob of 100mg nic on my finger. I know I should have had gloves on, but I washed it quickly and didn't notice any effects. Is this how all the nicotine from Nicotine River is shipped? If so, I can deal with it by just purchasing a few amber glass bottles to store it in.

Yeah that is how mine has always come. I just break it down into either 15 or 30ml amber glass dropper bottles and throw them in the freezer.

Same. Except I buy lower nic and store in larger bottles.

That's what I thought. One last item it is.

Is it an actual aspirin bottle or a bottle of the type normally used to package aspirin? If it's the latter, you got the same as I did.

It is how they ship. I only order 50ml at a time and never tear off the metal seal. Just poke a hole with syringe needle, suck up what is needed for my mix, and replace the lid.

I would suggest finding a vessel for your nic that you can store in a cool place and keep some of it in a bottle nearby. Every time you open that hole and introduce oxygen and light to your nic, you're degrading it.

Edit: downvote all you want; not going to bring back your juice. Every time you open = oxygen = bad.

All that light shining through that 20 gauge hole.

Oxygen is the true culprit.. Which gets in everytime you open it.

I don't usually buy aspirin by the litre, so not really sure.

Having said that... Whatever size bottle you bought, you'd want to divide it up in smaller amber glass bottles, anyway rather than constantly dipping into the motherlode and exposing it to oxygen.

My guess is that it's safer for shipping to be in plastic than in glass.

Nude nicotine does the same. At least for their 50ml bottles

Uh. You ordered a really small bottle so that's what they sent.

Most people order a liter.
