Okay, first off, I'll start by saying that I haven't tried it, but I've heard great things about the flavor, and I'm a massive kiwi fan. It's my absolute favorite flavor and this wouldn't be the first flavor I've cloned without trying, although I'm lucky I was able to nail something similar to blue raz by brew city (according to taste testers) after months of failed attempts. I'm not really trying to clone the flavor per say, I'd really just like to make something similar because I am a huge fan of kiwi/marshmallow. I have a flavor I've been making for a year thanks to a customer asking me to add dragon fruit to my strawberry kiwi, which I decided to redo completely when adding the dragon fruit and added a combo of marshmallows and toasted marshmallows to it. SKD has been my favorite flavor for a very long time.
I've decided to go back to the basics and master the perfect kiwi, I've got FW, FA, and Double Kiwi, but I mainly use FA/FW at a 1:2ish ratio (1.5%/2.5-2.8%). I'll probably pick up some odd kiwi flavors for my venture into crafting the perfect Kiwi, especially MF kiwi which I remember being delicious when used at the right percentage, but I'd also like to try to aim for something similar to frankenvape.
If you've had the flavor and have used kiwi flavors moderately, do you have an idea where I could start? It seems everyone says kiwi double is what it is, or ateast that's what most of the recipes have, but I think FA/FW is a far more authentic flavor. FA is a more "natural" kiwi, while FW is very sweet and candy like, they mix together to form a very ripe kiwi that leaves your mouth tingling for more. I know, if it's so great, why not leave it at that? There's always room for improvement and I'm curious what you guys think is in frankenvape, even the marshmallow part, as well as what kiwi is your favorite? I plan to make numerous variations, one where I try to get close to the actual flavor (which I'll be buying asap), and some with kiwi,/marshmallow variations I really want to play around with Purilium Marshmallow which IMO, is very authentic tasting. Sorry for typing so much.
I have been trying to find this myself as Frankenvape was the first flavor I ever tried. I have tried TFA kiwi double and TFA marshmallow with the most success, but it's just not right. I'll keep looking, as even when it is not right it is still my favorite go to flavor.
Can't say the recipe currently as I don't have it on hand.
Edit: Congrats on being the first Vape post to peak my interest enough to bring a reply.
Have you tried FW or FA? I'm not saying they're anything like the kiwi in it, but they are pretty good nonetheless, and it'd be worth a try. I definitely have my mind set on figuring this out though, so if I do, I'll share any notes or findings with you or anyone else that wants to know. Also, could you describe the kiwi and the marshmallow flavors separately and how they taste together it at all possible? Keep you mind open to capella or FA marshmallow as well. Does the marshmallow actually taste like marshmallow? And lastly, does it taste like it has cream, and or whipped cream? I'd be willing to bet it may have some whipped cream, and I've even seem Bavarian cream in some of recipes I saw. Kiwi will always and forever be my favorite flavor so I will definitely order some Frankenvape and try my best to nail this.
Skip FLV Kiwi
Yeah unless I hear raving reviews by multiple people, along with some reputie people on this sub backing those opinions up, I won't buy any FLV flavors anymore. They try way too hard, A+ for an attempt on variety, but they're worse than flavorwest when it comes to gimicky "that would actually be a great if it was even possible" flavors. Of course they have their amazi g flavors like cream, cinnamon crunch, rainer cherry (a few drops), cupcake batter, and more, but there many more failures. I've wasted too much money in their flavors that some of which even ended up tasting like burnt hair (I'm looking at you crunch cereal).
I have some decent flv flavors. FLV Mango and Watermelon are both good in my book. Of course with anything new it's quite alright to be wary.
I've not tried this juice, but there's one thing I think is worth contributing. TFA Marshmallow is a great flavoring and should definitely be considered as one of the ingredients. It's really versatile, and even though it might not be the most realistic marshmallow, it can support another one and give it a thicker mouthfeel which is pretty important in my opinion.
I don't even vape anymore but, I saw this thread and used to have a pretty spot on clone for Frankenvape.
Everything TFA
kiwi double 10%
Marshmallow 5%
Whipped cream 5%
Sour 1.5%
From what I can remember, this tasted just like Frankenvape and was my go to mix for a long time.
Were you using this clone on a lower powered device? Just asking to see if some of these number could/should be halved?
When I did my variation, it was this. http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/233480/Kiwi%20Cream
Pretty much the same concept... but much lower %... It does need to steep a little though. IDK if that helps.
But yeah, those percentages are high. It's probably an old recipe.
I'll pick up some whipped cream and sour and give it a try. I've been out of whipped cream for a while. I bet it'd be great with FA whipped cream.
