Finally organized
submitted over 7 years ago by capomatt

After a year of dealing with all my concentrates in ziplock bags and never being able to find what I need, I finally got a rack to keep things organized: https://imgur.com/gallery/etSLq

I use Glad storage containers. I put a piece of masking tape on each cap with a number. That number is added to the flavor name in my recipe book so that I just have to look the number up to find it as I'm making a batch.

That’s incredible. I need this. But I’d have to organize by some kind of categorical system. I can’t write down numbers everywhere. Do you have like one bin for fruits/creams/bakeries/etc?

No. I just use the next number when I get new flavors. When I put my flavor into Juice Calculator I use the # in the name.

I could never do that. It smells too much. I use a system and boxes with sealing lids. I can find anything in seconds ;)

Sounds like a perfectly good reason to go buy yourself a new pair of shoes :)

I ordered the same one after seeing your post. I now have more room for my wife's nail polishes I am told.

This is exactly why i didn’t go with that type of shelf for my flavors haha. My wife keeps all of hers in a decorative bucket, but once she saw it I’d never see it again.

I sooo need to do this. Problem is the wife ... I have to choose between open organization and a wife. lol

I keep my stuff in my "man cave" aka a small corner of the basement where I can keep my junk separate from the wife and kids!

Same here. I actually scored an awesome wood cart with wheels. I coated the entire thing in waterproof sealant. It’s perfect. My man cave is not in the basement though.

I picked up these [ornament storage containers](Sterilite 20 Compartment Adjustable Christmas Holiday Ornament Storage Box, Red https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N455YDY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_YLpsAbJPJRSJ6) for like ten bucks each at walmart a few days ago. They are perfect for concentrates and mixes. The slots are modular, so I've got mixes grouped by type and date, same for concentrates.

I have four nail polish racks but only two are mounted on the wall, one rests on top of a dresser and the fourth just leans against the wall. I need to build a mixing station that puts them all within easy reach.

I bought an expand-a-shelf which is nice for storing larger 4oz bottles or a bunch of smaller ones even.

I use a couple of them. They are great! I like to arrange the concentrates by manufacturer, then alphabetically by flavor name.

I use one of these. I divide them by type (bakery, vanillas fruits etc) and it works ok, but having to pull them out to see labels is a real pain sometimes.
