I bought American Weigh Scales LB-501 Digital Kitchen Scale and it broke. Then I bought another one and broke again. I contacted the company and paided to ship them two broken scales and got them back. A year later both are now broken again. One of them is completely dead and wont turn on and the other one just spits out random numbers when nothing is on top of it.
So what are some other scales you guys recommended. Having nothing but problems with American Weight company.
I've had my LB501 for over 2 years, used the hell out of it, spilled stuff on it, and it's been a champ. The only problem it's had is the plastic over the tare button has cracked from being pressed so many times, but it still works perfectly. Considering the 35 bucks I paid for it, I'd consider it money well spent and buy another if it broke. How are yours breaking?
I use this one. Mainly because up here in america's hat, it costs about the same as the one that's given you trouble (and it allows me to mix a half gallon at a time if I feel like it.)
I've tried to buy one of those because I could really use 3000 grams of capacity, but it's perpetually unavailable at Amazon and sold out in your link.
Yeah just saw that. The 500 version is what, less than $15usd tho, so you may try that. Description says batteries required but pics show a power adapter port.
My backup scale is the 600g USB powered one from fasttech. Pocket scale, but drug dealers use those all the time...
A friend rates these :-

You can disable auto off as well
EDIT :
To adjust the idle time for the auto off function
When the scale is turned off, press and hold "M" key, at the same time, press "ON/OFF" key for 4 times quickly till number is displayed, then release the button.
To change auto-off time among 0/60/120/180 seconds: please press "M" key, after choosing, press "ON/OFF" key to confirm the setting. NOTE: The "0" option deactivates the auto-off function
Did you try unplugging it and plugging it back in? /s
Re-calibrate maybe?
I'm also curious as to how you can "break" that many LB-501 scales when nearly everyone else here (myself included) seems to have been using the same one for years without issues.
Sorry about the late response but Im not sure how I broke it tbh. I tried new batteries in the back and plugged in but it just reads out random numbers. Here is a youtube video I made https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Cslv3kiH9I
