Weekly 'Suggest a Recipe for my Flavors' Thread - Week of December 22, 2017
submitted almost 8 years ago by AutoModerator

Got a bunch of flavors but not sure how to make them work together? Post your list here, and our team of semi-professional mixologists will make suggestions for you! If you are impatient and want to do this on your own, here are a couple of good links:

  • /u/daath has a nice website that has this functionality, but you will need to register to make it work. It is not very intuitive but if you work with it you can input your flavors and get a list of recipes that you can make. IMO this is the better site if you have the patience to make it work for you. Edit2: to get this to work, first set up an account. Then add your flavors to the stash (under my page / my flavor stash). hit save. Then go back to the front page and click the link next to the search field, "Search by flavor stash". You can select a couple of your flavors and recipes that have those will pop up.
  • This site has a nice big search button with just what you're looking for.

Happy Mixing!

If you had TFA Pineapple I’d suggest my current ADV, it has WF Blue Raspberry Candy, pineapple and TFA Pomegranate, the blue raspberry is such a good concentrate!

How would you describe TFA Pineapple? Because I'm actually looking for something in that vein.

by VaultToastalmost 8 years agoWon't read sidebar

It’s tart, like the sorta pineapple in those squeeze drinks, like Capri sun! CAP Golden Pineapple is more of a sweet profile. Good luck!

LA Lemonade, FA Lemon Sicily, TFA raspberry sweet, Koolada. (Don't have access to the numbers for the mix, I think it was 5%, 1%, 2%, 2% respectively.)

Thanks for the recipe! What type of wattage and coil? How does this compare to vurve’s best damn lemonade?

by ID10-Talmost 8 years agoWinner of the 2nd DIYorDIE World Mixing Championship

Similar to /u/juthinc 's suggestion, 5% LA Lemonade, 1% FA Lemon Sicily, 2% TFA Raspberry Sweet, 1% CAP Blue Raspberry Cotton Candy, 0.5% Koolada, 0.25% FA Meringue.

Also try 4% TFA Philippine Mango, 3% CAP Sweet Mango, 1.25% CAP Cool Mint, 1% TFA Sweetener.

Nice I’ll whip up a 10ml and test it out..any steep/breathing tips? Finally a use for blue raspberry cotton candy(BRCC- taste just like cotton candy.. not so much in my vape)!

1 points

by ID10-Talmost 8 years agoWinner of the 2nd DIYorDIE World Mixing Championship

Yeah, BRCC is not very good at a higher % but it makes a great sweetener for candy recipes in the 1 to 2% range. This is a very candyish fake lemonade vape - think raspberry lemonade kool-aid, not something made from actual fruit.

Don't breathe juice. Just let it rest with the cap on after a reallly vigorous shaking. The mango one you should probably steep overnight at least (12 to 24 hrs). Not only should you vape the raspberry lemonade right away, it's probably best fresh. Lemon Sicily fades fast. On the other hand, if you find the lemon is too intense for you, leave it be for a couple of days and it'll calm down.

If you want to try some "how steeping works" experiments, try my:

Mother of Dragons' Milk or Mother of God's Milk recipes (you have all the ingredients for them) freshly mixed, then put them away and try them again after a week. Big difference.

by juthincalmost 8 years ago

Lemon Sicily can give a real Lemon Pledge vibe if used SnV... a day later it's fine. I don't believe I've tried that 'best damn lemonade'... so can't compare. If you can get some WS-23, cut the koolada to .25% and use 1.5% WS-23. (I tend to think fruit juices work better when cold. Unless you're going for a mulled apple cider, or want a neocitron vape...

So I’ve run out of everything other than the following:

  • FA Vienna cream
  • Cap sugar cookie
  • Cap sweet strawberry
  • TFA brown sugar
  • TPA banana cream
  • Cap marshmallow
  • TFA fruit circles
  • FA fresh cream
  • TFA dairy milk
  • TFA rice crunchies
  • TFA creme de menthe
  • TFA sweetener

I’ve tried using ELR’s “what can I make” button and haven’t found anything interesting. I believe sugar cookie is a good stand alone flavour but does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Banana Cream + Marshmallow + Sugar Cookie?

Simple enough, thanks! I wasn’t using the banana cream much but it sounds like I should give it another shot.

If I'm not mistaken it's pretty potent stuff. Too much and it ruins everything lol

2 points

by ID10-Talmost 8 years agoWinner of the 2nd DIYorDIE World Mixing Championship

7% Sugar Cookie + 3.5% Banana Cream + 1% Fresh Cream for a simpler juice that will only need 3 to 5 days to come together.

7% Sugar Cookie + 3.5% Banana Cream + 1% Vienna Cream + 0.5% Brown Sugar for a similar but tastier banana cookie profile that'll need at least a week of steeping, probably best at 2 weeks.

4% Banana Cream, 3.5% Sweet Strawberry, 2% Vienna Cream, 1% Fresh Cream for another steeper, without the cookie.

I’ve been looking forward to posting in this thread, but it always slips my mind!

I have a bunch of standard bakery and dessert flavors, but every time I’ve made a bakery/dessert flavor I’ve hated it. For this reason, I’m mostly just going to list my fruit flavors, along with bakery/dessert flavors I don’t hate.:

Capella Raspberry

Capella Banana

FlavourArt Apricot

TFA Meringue

FlavourArt Bilberry

Inawera Biscuit (I haven’t tried this one)

TFA Blueberry Extra

Cap Blueberry Jam

TFA Blueberry Wild

Capella Coconut

Inawera Cactus (not a huge fan, but I understand it has merit as an accent flavor)

Capella Cantaloupe

Flavorah Cantaloupe

TFA Cantaloupe

TFA Cheesecake (Graham Cracker Crust)

TPA Cotton Candy

LA Cream Cheese Icing (haven’t tried it, but it smells tasty)

FlavourArt Fresh Cream

TFA Dragonfruit

TFA Forest Fruits

FlavourArt Fuji Apple

Capella Golden Pineapple

TFA Honeydew

Capella Honeydew Melon II

Capella Juicy Lemon

Capella Kiwi

TFA Papaya

Capella Sweet Strawberry

Capella Super Sweet

Capella Sweet Mango

TFA Whipped Cream

Capella Vanilla Whipped Cream

Capella Silverline Whipped Marshmallow

Flavorah Wild Melon

TFA Watermelon

Thank you in advance!

I also like the idea of TFA Papaya with CAP Sweet Mango in something like TFA Cheesecake Graham. I have a similar recipe, but this is a good combo to build on.

  • TPA Berry (Crunch) Cereal

don't know what to mix while waiting for the fresh batch of flavors :^)

I think all of those together would make something pretty interesting. Something like a tres leches cake with crunchberries in it.

I'm just spitballing here, but something like this.

Berry crunch - 3%

Biscuit - 0.5%

Cake Batter Dip - 3%

Meringue - 0.5%

VBIC - 4%

2 points

by kindgroundalmost 8 years ago

You may be able to coax that Biscuit into vanilla cookie (or something else really delicious like ice cream and cookies) with Biscuit 0.75%, Meringue 1%, and Vanilla Ice Cream at around 3-4%. The Meringue has a tendency to play well with the Biscuit to make it less "dense". Adding the vanilla ice cream is just going to round it out more. If you want ice cream, use more. If you want cookies, use less.
