Hey everyone, I'm just wondering if anyone has tried/has any experience using this new sugardaddy sweetener sold by the broke vaper up here in Canada? Here is the description from their site:

A new strong sweetener with the true taste of sugar. No chemical aftertaste and significantly less coil gunkage. Don’t be forced to decide between your sweet tooth and your coils anymore"
There are two different versions, a regular and a vanilla version. Their claims make this Sweetener seem pretty good, JW if anyone has any idea what they might be using as the main sweetening ingredient? Any other Info on how to use it correctly or tasting notes would be awesome as well! I just got some of the vanilla version recently but I have only used it in one mix so far that is now steeping.
I grabbed some of the two when they came out, did a drop/knuckle test of both. Very natural sugar taste with a hint of cotton candy after taste from the sweetener (though it's suspended in VG which is pretty sweet on it's own), and an amazing natural vanilla taste from the vanilla sweetener.
Tried replacing 0.25% cap super sweet in a tropical juice thing I came up with 0.5% SD sweetener but it actually muted the flavour almost to non-existence after 10 days (which is about when the floral/hops notes finally let go normally) which matches my experiences with EM. I almost tossed the mix, but added an additional 0.125% cap super sweet and the flavour inexplicably came back when I tried it again a couple days later.. just now waaaay to sweet, but a better sweet than just ss by itself.
I haven't really found a place for it yet but it has potential if I can figure out what undid that muting, and am tempted to pick up an Erythritol/Stevia powder blend from Bulk Barn to see if it steeps better. Though I did do a fun experiment involving a bic and some tin foil. Look here (yes that vanillin mix I did is well past the "I should turf that" date, I just don't use it so it sits) if you care to see the end result - seriously, look what super sweet left behind...
Interesting test, thank you for sharing. A little concerned by the spontaneous flame on the regular Sugar Daddy?? But I don’t know enough about the chemistry of it to draw a conclusion. I’m guessing that existing at a low percentage in a mix would make that not be a problem
No problem, it's not terribly scientific because it wasn't a measured/controlled temperature or environment but more of a ballpark to see what caramelizes and what really gunks. What gets left behind from the super sweet, and the crackling it did right off does align with the crud I see on the coils though.
It was interesting that the vanillin solution sparked up too, but not the vanilla SD - it could just be down to some form of alchohol forming and reaching the flame in these cases (I'm definitely not a trained chemist). I believe the conditions that caused them to flame aren't going to be met in an atomizer during normal use, but I honestly wonder what exactly gassed off and how many commercial concentrates might do the same in a similar test.
It does taste like sugar to me. Its somewhere between super sweet and TFA in strength imo. Significantly less coil damage and discoloration, and Ive replaced all other sweetners in all of my personal mixes with it. So far, so good!

It's most likely a polyol, at a guess Xylitol. Could be Reb A. If it turns out to be Reb A and Erythritol, it's gotta be a brilliant piece of marketing, since that's already commercially available... I've done some checking, some Chinese suppliers will sell packages as small as a kilogram for less than ten bucks, of Sorbitol, Xylitol, Maltitol, and Erythritol...

yeah im really curious what exactly is in it, i wish they disclosed it. I understand why they wouldnt tell people what they use, but in regards to safety and peace of mind i would like to know.
They've disclosed what is in it, just not exact percentages. I'd guess the percentages work out to a ratio of Truvia and TFA sweetener, and maybe a touch of either water or saline... but I'm cynical.
