This is free and for a great cause!
As if those awesome prizes aren't enough...
I've quickly learned that the DIY community is full of sadists who want to watch people suffer, so for entertainment during the Charity Stream, Shakenvape007 of the DIY Mixers Crew and I will be having a live "try not to vomit" contest. We'll mix live on camera what the other panelists tell us to mix and vape it until one of us cries ~~uncle~~ ralph. WE BOTH HAVE THE WHOLE COLLECTION OF OoO SAVORY FLAVORS on hand for this. You will get to see me in real pain.
I'm sure the other 20 or so DIY YouTubers who are going to be hanging out and giving out amazing prizes to viewers also have terrific content lined up, most of which is probably not as juvenile and stupid as what Shakenvape and I are offering. This is an event you don't want to miss.
I heard you guys were going to try them in reverse alphabetical order.
Starting with Wasabi and winding up on Avocado? I'm not scared of those two. It's the three cheeses in the middle that'll have me throwing away an atty afterward. I can't even sniff one of them without gagging.
Let me ask this, how do I donate? Will there be links on the video and whatnot? I've never watched a YouTube live thingy before, not sure what I need to have setup.
I'm sorry, I would answer this in detail but I have mere seconds to type this before I have to get on the road. However I donated this morning and will try to walk you through it. Google St. Jude's donate. They make it super easy. When you get to the donation page you just make a donation. This is easiest on a smartphone but you can do it on desktop. Money goes directly from you to St. Jude's and those poor cancer kids. You click "Print Receipt" and screenshot your receipt - that's what makes you eligible to win all these prizes. There are two ways to share that receipt with the contest organizers, email and facebook message, and both of those will be shared during the show repeatedly.
To watch the live show you just go to the channel (link above) and it should let you know when it is live. Might need to refresh if you show up early. To make sure you are aware when it goes live you would subscribe and click on the bell symbol to receive notifications but that is in no way a requirement.
Sorry if I am dumb but where does the charity come in? I get that there are tons of prizes and stuff but how does money get to St. Jude?
Also, with everyone ordering gifts on Amazon for Christmas don't forget you can use Amazon Smile and support St. Jude just by selecting them and making your purchases as usual.
Saint Jude's is fantastic choice though and I'm glad to see this community give their support. I shadowed a friend there for 2 summers before med school and, having worked at quite a few hospitals including CHOA(another great children's hospital) I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I have had. Their staff is amazing and really care a lot about their work so I hope you guys can raise a lot of money. Every little bit helps.
You need to make donations in order to win prizes.
Thanks. So its kind of like a charity raffle where you buy in for a chance to win but instead of buying a ticket for X amount you just make a donation? That makes a lot more sense.
You've got a lot of nice prizes so hopefully you'll get plenty of donations.
Thanks for clarifying! Is the raffle process one donation to enter all the drawings or do you have to donate per drawing?
I’m still currently donating all my charity money towards a cure for skiddlzninjas autism
