📑 "The large amount of butter is what makes shortbread short: the term short, when applied to biscuits and pastry, means crumbly, like shortcrust pastry should be. It is the reason why the fat added to biscuits and pastries is called shortening." - britishfoodhistory.com
"Shortbread is a biscuit traditionally made from one part white sugar, two parts butter, & three parts flour...Modern recipes... often deviate from the original by splitting the sugar into equal parts granulated and icing sugar and many add a portion of salt." - en.wikipedia.org

How does it compare to INW Biscuit?
This would be like the kissing cousin to INW Biscuit. The WF Shortbread Cookie is overall a lighter biscuit cookie; more mild with a lighter whipped butter note. Similar to those pre-packaged lightly golden shortbread cookies.
Note* I only SF tested the INW after a few days steep when I first started mixing (TBH I didn't know the "proper" way to SFT & had written quick notes on it; compiled with parroted notes from others so I could use it in a mix) so I can't compare it note for note. It is one of the flavors I will do a lengthier SFT so I can compare and contrast accurately. I apologize that I can not be of better use for the comparison.
No need to apologize! Really appreciate all of this content you've been adding.
I've just come to find that some of the best notes come in answers to questions asked of flavor reviewers. And it's easier to get an idea of how something might or might not work by comparing it to another concentrate vs. comparing it to what it's supposed to taste like. So you keep posting these things (please do), you'll keep getting questions like this from me.
Thank you ID10-T.
Comparing it side by side with another concentrate is useful and I see that often in other mixers notes. I will do my best to include at least one comparison in my future notes. I still have over 150 SFT to do; which should take me a little over 5 1/2 months 😅. By that time I will be better at comparison contrast.
Mmmm. If it's anything like INW biscuit, I'll be a happy camper. Still one of my all time favorite cookies. :q
Hmmm... Let me think, if I could compare to something, it'd be like weight classes in boxing.
-
INW Biscuit is like a Heavy Weight Champ (200 lbs +) - Strong & Powerful and a force to be reckoned with.
-
WF Shortbread Cookies is like a Middleweight Champ (160 lbs) - Strong for their weight class but would struggle to knock out Heavy Weight Champion.
Just killin it with the flavor reviews! Really appreciate this!
Love that you are getting info out there on a lot of lesser known/used/popular flavors!
Thank you very much! I really appreciate the compliment. It's very motivating. I'm doing the best I can! By the end of this month I'm aiming for at least 20 new SFT done. Wish my taste buds luck.
Also - same goes to you. You've been killing it transcribing those very important notes from Fresh03. Well done!
