Just something about vaping ham and beans is not high on my must mix list....

😅 I'd be hesitant to vape ham lol but not beans.

Red Beans, Garbanzo Beans, Mung Beans among other beans are used in a wide array of East Asian, African, & Pacific Islander desserts and pastries. This includes Ice Cream as well.

Garbanzo bean flavoring is a pass for me...

If you can find red bean (azuki) mochi in an asian market, or red bean sesame balls at a chinese restaurant, they are amazing asian dessets!

Awww. It's okay. When you have the opportunity to visit your local Asian Food Market, see if you can get some Red Bean Ice Cream or Mochi Cake with Red Bean.

Actually. Whole Foods started selling Mochi Cakes and that includes ones with Red Bean Paste filling. You should give it a try. ❤️

Absolutely. My mother is a Filipina. When I was young (12 -17 years old) I worked at my Aunt's Asian Food Market. I've had many red bean, mung bean, and other nice and beany desserts. LOL. I can tell you those Sesame Balls with Red Bean...delicious!

Didn't know they made this flavor, Red Bean Ice Cream is the best thing ever made!

Yas! A red bean flavor we all can purchase. The only other Red Bean concentrate I was able to find was from the flavoring manufacturer "DuoMei". I have that concentrate and will do a comparison / contrast to the FA Red Bean soon.

I would definitely pick this up if you are interested in a Realistic Red Bean flavor. 😃

This stuff is spot on Red Bean. It's extremely potent and stands out like a sore thumb, though. The only true application I've been able to use it in is Red Bean Ice Cream

Red Bean Ice Cream

BRAND | FLVR | % ---|---|---- FA | Red Bean | 0.25% FA | Fresh Cream | 1% FA| Meringue | 0.5% FA| Vienna Cream | 0.5% TFA | Vanilla Swirl | 1.5% TFA| Cotton Candy (EM) | 0.25% CAP| Super Sweet | 0.5% MIX AT | 60VG | 40PG STEEP| Short| 1-2 Days

In this ATF link FA Bell Pepper is FA Red Bean because it hasn't been inputted yet. The cream layer I use has a lot going on and can probably be simplified. I'd also make it a bit richer on my next batch. But sweetener is 100% needed to make Red Bean palatable and taste more like Red Bean Ice Cream. It can also be shake and vaped, but after a couple days its much better.

Definitely a polarizing flavor and I don't blame anyone who doesn't know why anyone would vape beans. But if you've had red bean ice cream and wanted to recreate it, this flavoring is it.

Oh! Thanks for posting your recipe for Red Bean Ice Cream /u/Enyawreklaw . This does look tasty, especially with the Vanilla Swirl added. Well done.

I agree. This concentrate is very potent; proceeding this concentrate with kid gloves in a mix is a smart idea. I look forward to seeing your next batch using this concentrate. 👍🏽

I definitely need to get my hands on this. At my old job I made a shaved ice with red bean, pineapple and condensed milk as the main ingredients and I've really been wanting to make it a vape.

by Leilani_Halmost 8 years ago

Oh! That sounds delicious; especially the thought of adding condensed milk. Are you a cook?

Nah I used to work in a bubble tea shop and I did a lot of experimenting. I have a ton of ideas for vapes after I get my skill level up!

Oh! That is very cool /u/collenchyma. I bet you made a lot of different flavor combinations. And I'm sure you will come up with some very good recipes for your shaved ice recipe. Take your time, experiment with your flavors and let me know when you have a recipe that taste good to you.
