Looking to make some UK style Christmas recipes, which are very under-represented in all the popular US based channels which tend to stick to peppermint as their Christmas go to.
In the UK we have mince pies, fruit cake, Christmas pudding which are all heavy, heavy, heavy raisin/fig/brandy/spice recipes which date back hundreds of years. Pretty awesome.
Anywho, I can make up the spices ok, maybe the brandy elements (but suggestions welcome) but it's the dark raisin/fig notes that I don't have a clue about. Suggestions plus recipe ideas welcome!
Some Flavorah Flavors that might work for you
A few to try that are heavier on the Raisin Note:
FLV Oatmeal Raisin - https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/628719/flv_oatmeal_raisin/
Also, give Raisin Rum a try, think it could work well
Fig - https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/61num9/flv_fig/
and they have a sweet fig that would be worth experimenting with as well
If you are looking for spices that would work well in the mixes try out FLV Rich Cinnamon, FLV Clove (Amazing), FLV Horchata, and FLV Ginger.
One last one I might try that could fit in well is their Sangria - https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/6z6x4v/flv_sangria/
Question: Do people elsewhere(outside the USA) call people a "fruitcake", as an insult?
It's sort of an inside joke that nobody actually likes fruitcake, and that it's just given as a gift but nobody actually eats it.
In case you haven't already noticed, you might wanna keep an eye on the FOTW thread this week...
