How to create juice that taste different on the inhale than the exhale?
submitted almost 8 years ago by hendrix1212

I've been through 100s of 5 and 10ml test mixes and have a pretty solid recipe book as of now. I'm definitely satasfied with how far I've come over the past couple months.

I enjoy buying sale bottles of premium juice and trying to clone it or make it better.

I was at the vape shop today and scooped a $10 sale bottle of this cucumber melon vanilla.

It seriously taste like a fruity cucumber watermelon smoothie on the inhale, and a vanilla custard on the exhale. It's so amazing.

More experienced mixers out there, how do you create such a flavor profile?

My mixes mostly contain 2-4 ingredients and are super tasty to myself, but not ONE has such a diverse taste from inhale to exhale.

Sure, some have a more prominent flavor in the inhale, and a note of something else on the exhale, but this shit I bought is ridiculous. Seriously taste like you're dropping 2 completely different recipes and I LOVE it

Any tips on how to do so?

Same here....i wish I tasted more on inhale. But its the same as chewing with your nose plugged, no taste until i open up airways and exhale.

Generally a strong top note that contrasts with a heavy bottom note, think fruits and creams. You'll taste the fruit on the in, and the cream on the out.

Any examples for a recipe?

Maybe

CAP VC v1 1% TFA blueberry wild 3% TFA vanilla swirl 6%

Vanilla swirl seems to go really well with fruits IME

My Tangiscitch pretty much does that with a tangerine inhale and a butterscotch on the exhale which is what made me chase it. I have it listed in the November recipe thread if you want to give it a shot.

Honey flavourings (used paringly) also do their thing on the exhale, so mixing that with a sweet fruit of some kind should give you the fruit on the inhale and the honey on the out

My current ADV is like this, and I didn't even notice that until reading this... As the other person said, fruit presents first and creampies comes in afterwards.

People generally mean the beginning of their exhale when they say inhale.

What do they mean when they say they didn't inhale?

I never taste anything with the inhale and always wondered why. Is it my set up (subomh RTA)? Is it because I inhale directly to lung?

So for people who taste different on inhale and exhale, are you MTL vaping?

for me I taste morr when I can smrll the vapor. So the inhale isnt very strong except for the more overt base notes (the stuff I can smell when sniffing thr bottle or the coils). When i exhale, I let some vapor out through my nose and can taste a lot more of the small things

Haven't experimented yet, but Addys Yoghurt on the ELR site gave me a wonderful kiwi inhale and yoghurt exhale. letting 120ml steep like a sir until it becomes my ADV

Been mixing for years and never had a in/out taste difference. Had it taste different per exhale but following to see if there is some trick. People say layering and etc which might be good working with food, but its chemicals.
