Spread some Holidays Vaping Joy's!
submitted almost 8 years ago by pjp88029

I happened to meet a retired Korean War Veteran outside my health care clinic and started chatting with him when I saw his Kanger in his pocket.

Turns out he likes the fruit flavors, (which I do not and have a couple dozen of that I tried before giving up on that "genre" of flavors!). So, as I am doing my Fall-Pre-Holiday straightening up, I am putting all Tanks, Coils and Juices in a box to deliver to him Pre-Christmas. He lives in a Veterans Only Long Term Care Nursing Home.

My Plan is to call the Nsg. Home and speak to a Shift Supervisor on duty to find out how many Vets are Vaping there. Then give some to my new "Vaping Vet" buddy, then divvy up the rest to others living there also.

So, anybody can do this to clean house and help someone who is stuck living their last years in a Nsg Home.

Just call around to local Nsg. or Veterans Homes.

Ask to speak with the Nsg Shift Supervisor (around 4pm or 7pm is the best time, I used to be a Shift Super!), they know all the patients because they make rounds on all the units.

Ask them if any of their residents Vape, get the number of them, and what their visiting hours are. (Don't ask for names, they aren't allowed to divulge, "PHI", Personal Health Info, you know). Box up your extra stuff and deliver!

Give another call to Let the SS know when you will be going there so that s/he can escort you around to the residents who Vape.

Don't go during meal times (11-1 & 4-7). How's that sound for a plan?

Hope it's zero nic. Nicotine makes your blood pressure shoot up. Wouldn't want any of these folks getting strokes.

Uh, it's not as if I am going to be a "Juice Pusher"! If they are already Vaping, that is their choice and health risk, not mine. And their choice of nicotine level, as is mine. The man I met uses 12mg; I have at least 30 flavors, "used 1-2" times of 3-15mg nearly new bottles of juices. I will help each resident decide which is appropriate for them, personally, when I do my onsite gifting. Hope that alleviates your concerns.

Being a juice pusher would be better than giving them a box of ingredients with nic solution.

It would be best to mix it for them properly in bulk.

Normally I poo poo overly cautious stuff but I do have to wonder what she's giving him. I mean it's either 0 nic or she's mixed it all or it includes the nic solution which she has no idea if they'll use responsibly.

It's better to just mix it for them.
