I'm as new a mixer as they come as I've not actually begun to mix. I'm jumping right into NETs though, and I've already got my first cold maceration set up. Just wanted to share, this is all thanks to this wonderful forum and guys like /u/ChemicalBurnVictim.

Could too much flavoring cause the juice to taste like chemicals?
Some flavors will definitely taste weird and chemically at high percentages.
Hi y'all! I just wanted to take a second to thank all of you who have put so much time into making all this information available for beginners. I've been lurking for a couple of months, reading everything on the sidebar and it's amazing what you have done. I have been able to learn so much right here, as well as following the tips to check other places. I am now waiting for my first 2 orders of hopefully most of what I'll need to get started. Single flavors and recipes with 2 flavors here I come! Without this, I would be still researching all over the internet. Are there any SIMPLE candy recipes I could try? Tyvm for doing this!!!
I'm not sure what constitutes as "simple", but it's likely you will make amazing mixes as long as you do your research and don't over-use your concentrates.
As far as simple, I can't stress enough how tasty your single flavors will be at their recommended percentages. It's a great way to "get in touch" with your concentrates and see what characteristics they have at different percentages. Once you have tried your flavors individually, your recipes will noticeably increase in quality.
Should i add nicotine before or after the steep ?
I like adding the nicotine first in case you over pour by accident. This way, it is easier to correct without ruining your mix.
Thoughts on LB Vanilla Cream Tobacco? I mixed some up last night but right now @ 6% solo it seems lacking. May review after a good long steep

It has no tobacco to speak of. It just tastes like a nice creamy vanilla... with dirt on it. Very much like one of those vanilla pudding pops, dropped on the ground, then eaten without being washed off. Might be a good vanilla to use with tobacco, though, maybe in place of something like INW Shisha Vanilla. Despite that dark dirty bit, the vanilla itself is more of a brighter vanilla along the lines of Shisha or TFA Vanilla Swirl than the darker vanilla of something like Holy Vanilla or TFA Vanilla Bourbon or FA Vanilla Bourbon. It has some creamy body to it as well. If you like TFA RY4 Double, it might make an interesting replacement for that in a recipe, it tastes similar to be except vanilla instead of caramel.
After bumping it up to 10% I am getting the dirty vanilla, I think it would be good to add that "ashy" flavor to tobacco. Ive already made a few mixes with it @ 4% , I have
VCT @4%
Western @3%
Ry4 double@1%
And then the same except replacing western with Turkish, and one with 555.
I'm hoping one will be good.

Dripbox 60w 0.2 coil, my base is 80/20 but after 10% LB VCT and 2 ml of nicotine (in a 30ml) it's less VG than 80 somewhere around 60-70 VG.
After upping it to 10% I can taste it a lot better, and I'm getting dirty vanilla.
I heard someone somewhere say something along the lines of "I tried different RDAs until I found one that really went well with that juice" and it somehow felt relatable.
Is there any of all those top-rated recipes that you prefer in a certain RDA ?
My flavors taste the same in my Aura RDA and my Azeroth RTA. I test with the Aura. The Azeroth is my daily banger since I drive an hour everyday.
I think it really comes down to your build. Certain coils make my juice taste better.
The biggest difference would be my Tsunami 25mm Pro, I need big coils to fill that chamber or there is just too much room that makes the flavor drop.
Does anyone know if eliquid manufactures stick to using only one concentrate brand per flavour or do they mix and match? I feel this is something important in a cloning process. I’m currently trying to recreate my favourite eliquid (with no progress) and it’d be so much easier to know if it is common knowledge that they usually stick to one supplier per recipe. Thanks!
Some do some don't. Completely depends on the manufacturer. Trial and error along with knowledge of a plethora of flavorings are the keys to successfully getting close to the profile you're after.

If the juice seems cheap, they're probably using cheap and readily available concentrates, such as TFA and FW. If it seems complex and thoroughly developed, it can be anything that they can source reliably (i.e. the big names).
Don't stress. When you vape the juice, really focus on trying to pick out the different flavors and notes so you'll know them instantly when you come across them. Sooner or later you will try a concentrate and it will hit you like a ton of bricks. If it's not THE concentrate, it will share that one component that you picked out, and you will come across it again, inching you closer and closer to the elusive secret. Eventually you'll have a pretty good idea what's in the juice and then it's just a matter of finding the right balance. It's only a lot of work if you think of it that way. Instead enjoy the challenge, don't try to rush it, have fun trying to pick the juice apart and you'll learn a lot in the process.
I know Apothecary lists what concentrates they use. Their ingredients lists look pretty similar to most DIY recipes.
Are there any local big name stores that sell the bottles and droppers used to store your mixes?
Aside from the larger condiment bottles (8oz+) you won't find many places selling 10/15/30/60ml bottles and the few that I've seen have been a lot more expensive than buying online. If you just want to buy a dozen or so Amazon is probably your best bet. If you're looking to grab more than that glassbottleoutlet.com is better.
Just did my first batch of mixing last night, much easier than expected and I think I have a couple good flavors and many ideas to try- I need more glass bottles.
I think I need a new RDA. I quit vaping for a year or two and my remaining RDA is a tobh 2.5. Looking at new stuff on the market is kind of overwhelming. I don't like all these massively wide mouthpieces everything seems to have now and don't need massive airflow for super high wattage. I just want a simple clean looking RDA with big post holes that I could maybe build a bigger single coil setup on so it's easier to change wicks (preferably with coil or coils more centered). Oh and I want something where you can remove the very top like the tobh but where the airflow adjustment doesn't come out with it. I still have a simple dual coil on the tobh and it vapes well but kind of a pain to change out. So not sure a good rda/single coil setup now.
I've been using a Pulse 22 recently and love it. Single coil and insanely easy to build on.
what coil do you use on it, and do you drip or use the bottom feed?
I will 2nd the pulse 22. I also prefer single coil and it is really simple to build on once you figure out the best spot to cut the ends of the wire.
The Hadaly is probably closer to what you are describing though in that the airflow is right in the cap rather than in a separate ring that also has to be removed. It is single coil and easy to build on. The airflow is a bit restricted though so if you are a cloud chaser or just like quite a lot of airflow it is less than ideal. Great for a flavor chaser though. Pricy but worth it for sure.
HANGSEN CREAM - Anyone have any experience with this concentrate that they would be willing to share? Got it as a sample in my last order and want to use it. From the bottle it smells like some type of buttery cheese, the few Flavor notes I've seen say it's a buttery type cream but not much else. I feel like it's probably loaded with daap by the way it smells. Any info would be appreciated!
I'm scared of it lol, I think I got a bad bottle of it, smelled like curdled milk ran through a dirty sock a few times. Now I'm going to get it out and mix some up lol
Edit: I reopened the bottle and it smells way better, might've just been I tested to many that day(first order) I'm still going to mix it up.
So I mixed it up at 3 percent last night, and it has a very popcorn butter taste and oily smooth mouth feel. On exhale I get a think cream feel, though still buttery takes on a note that reminds me of half and half with a splash of vanilla. I think if you're worried about the daap you would be better off buying the Dx lines. (Note: I would not use this at 3 percent normally, I wanted to see if I could taste the diacetyl at higher percents)
Thanks a ton for the notes! I also get a buttery note from it as well, almost edging in the realm of cheese - which is what I smell when I sniff the concentrate bottle. I've used it in a few mixes now and it seems to work well as a butter forward cream, almost like a butter + cream hybrid. Seems to help butter up creams, would prob work wonders with butterscotch, and caramel type dessert flavors.
The following is asking about freebase nicotine.
I mix for 1mg for DTL on an RDA with a dual coil build. I've had a Nautilus 2 and have used the 1.8 ohm coils for quite a few months now and I can't seem to manage to find a good nicotine amount for it that isn't too weak or too harsh on the throat hit. This may sound silly, but is there a way to know how much I should use based on my use for DTL? So because I use 1mg DTL, multiply it by 2 and use 2mg MTL or something? I don't believe it's PG or flavorings because the same flavorings don't feel harsh DTL, and I'm also able to vape straight PG with no throat hit DTL (haven't tried to MTL 100% PG in my Nautilus but I assume it would be the same case). Correct me if I'm wrong and this is actually different between DTL and MTL please.
With all that said, if there isn't a good way to "guestimate" how much I should use then some suggestions would be appreciated. I just find it odd I have a hard time figuring this out and am on the verge of just buying an RDTA so that I can test on the spot and don't have to fill a tank, and at that point it just feels silly to waste of course.
Besides that I also wanted to ask about nic salts. I would like to get it for MTL and maybe for a rare DTL use and my question is essentially the same as before, wondering if there is a good way to know how much more to use to get an equal or close to equal throat hit as when using freebase nicotine.
If all of this is subjective to each person then oh well, I figured I may as well ask, no harm done. Thanks in advance for any help!
It's certainly subjective, highly depending on your own tolerance, the device you use and the quality and type of nicotine. You'll just have to find your own sweet spot.
I can only give you my current habits for reference. I DTL 2.5 mg/ml with high VG which is plenty of throat hit for me, even with quality nic. But I enjoy 25 mg/ml full PG for MTL, with almost the same level of satisfaction. It's high for freebase nic, but when I MTL I want it strong and at the end of the day, it equates to the same amount of nic vaped.
If you're looking to MTL high nic with less throat hit and an instant but shorter lasting effect, then salts are a good idea. You need to use higher concentrations though, 50-60 mg/ml is common for MTL, as it's less potent than freebase.
I'm completely overwhelmed here on what exactly to purchase as a first time buyer. Are there any sites that do first time package kit with all the supplies? Any recommendation would be appreciated. Also would it be better to wait for black Friday sales?
It all depends where you live, and how much you want to spend. There are starter kits just look up some high rated recipes that sound good to you and pick the flavors they use for your 15. Make sure to get VG and PG (unless you want max VG), also the salt nicotine is optional less throat hit more expensive.
The essentials are PG, VG, nicotine, the flavors for some popular recipes, 10 ml plastic bottles and a scale with 0.01g precision. A few pipettes could come in handy. All explained in the beginners guides in the sidebar, but this sums it up.
Sales are always nice, but if you're just looking to try this out, you shouldn't make a huge investment anyway. Start small, get your feet wet, and you'll have a much better idea of what to order next time.
So I’m looking to get started with DIY. I’ve gone through the sidebar stuff a couple times. I found the liquid nicotine wholesale and found their premixed pg/vg/nic setups. Has anyone tried this? Is the nicotine decent quality? Cause that sounds like it would get rid of a lot of my concerns. And how would that work if I was mixing by weight? Actually how does that whole thing work? I only saw the one guide and it wasn’t very helpful for me. But me an maths never get along right away.
You need to use what they call a juice calculator. There are a bunch of different ones out there. I prefer the bare bones one at [Steam Engine] (http://www.steam-engine.org/juice.html) . All you need to do is: Set your batch size, set it to weight, enter your nic base concentration details, set your desired target (what you are shooting for in nic strength and vg/pg ratio), then enter your flavor percentages. The calculator will give you the recipe to mix the size batch you have selected.

I'm trying to purchase flavourings in order to mix my first juice. I've always been partial to cereal vapes so I'm trying to make Pebbles. The thing is Meringue (FA) is out of stock from the vendor I'm trying to buy from. (Ships to here in NZ.) Can I substitute Meringue from other brands instead? Or is it vital that I use Meringue (FA)?
I honestly make a good pebbles (according to me and some co-workers) with FW fruity flakes around 2-4% with tfa vanilla bean ice cream around 3%, and tfa marshmallow around 1%. I add a little sweet cream and/or Bavarian cream but I think it would be fine without.
I'm new and meringue is gonna be in my next order, so I've not made it with so can't say how big a difference it would make.

I like Flavor West versions as they have more of a actual cream flavor to me, and they are not much more. I don't know where you are ordering the flavors but make sure your not paying too much. I've yet to find better prices than Bullcityflavors.com
If your not that into creamy flavors you can make fruity pebbles without all those. Vanilla bean ice cream and FW fruity flakes would probably be enough. But I effin love any "X and cream" . So about half the flavors I have are creams right now.
Can someone recommend some good, simple, solid recipes, for all day use?

Does the nic from nic river come in an easy to dispense container? It's my understanding for mixing by weight I'm going to use my PG/VG in condiment squeeze bottles, but not sure about the nic.
No, it doesn't. It's in a bottle with a twist off cap. But since you'll be pouring a smaller amount into a dark small dropper bottle to work with and putting the original in the freezer so as to keep it from oxidizing, the original bottle doesn't need to have a dropper top.
Okay mixers, here's my problem.
All the mixes I've been putting together, regardless of the ingredients, all come out very very harsh to vape. Even after a few weeks steep, the flavors are decent (albeit a little unexciting), and the throat hit is not enjoyable. None of these recipes touch on any occurring harshness in their respective notes, nor do they mention the use of additives to smooth mixes out.
For me, this considerable problem has brought me nothing but discouragement. It makes me question my amateur abilities as a mixer. If there is some kind of fix or if I'm doing something wrong, someone help me out here.
A note about my mixing methods; I follow recipes to the T as they are written, usually give a SNV test for science, and then throw it in the box as per the recommended steep times. Still happens to the mixes. The nicotine, VG/PG I use is from Nicotine River. Flavors are obviously from a number of vendors, whatever the recipes require.
Have you tried them without nicotine? Are you shaking the shit out of the nicotine before you use it? What are some examples of some recipes you’ve tried? Are you using a mixing calculator?

New bet would be to either try one without nic, or test out your VG/PG/Nic Base without flavors to narrow it down. All the recipes are private. You have to hit the wrench and hit “Share URL privately” in order to share a private recipe.
Can you give some examples on the recipes? Also tell us your setup, vg/pg/nic ratio, do you have the same issues with store bought juices?
But the starting point is unfortunately not the most fun for a lot of people. You have to do single flavour testing and pinpoint where the harshness is coming from. Start with mixing a flavorless juice with you preferred vg/pg and nic and work your way up.
If you're just starting out and trying to science flavours, or nic level or even pg/vg ratios, can you re-mix a mixed batch? add a little more vg/pg or nic or flavour? seems like this could save me a lot of materials. Obviously this won't work with steeping, but outside of that?
You definitely can but it becomes complicated to make the results repeatable. It's typically easier to stick with smaller batches in order to conserve materials.
Is it feasible to add a little DNB to a NET extract to get a little smoke into the tobacco mix? If so, what % do you use, or maybe you use something else to accomplish this?
It's mostly ashy from what I understand, to get some of the notes from a combusted cigarette. /u/ChemicalBurnVictim seems to use it around 1%.

When talking percentages, say i'm using two flavours, would I just lessen the both of them? Say I would normally use 10% flavouring, would I instead make both flavourings 10%?

Look up some popular fruity recipes and add menthol, always works for me when I get the menthol itch.
Also FW White Chocolate with FW Candy Caine (or your favourite peppermint) is a great combo.

That depends on the recipe. Sometimes it's used for its nutty quality and sometimes for its graininess.
Nutty replacement go for a dry nutty flavouring like FA almond or FA hazel grove in low percentage.
I'm a new DIYer. I went to Nicvape online and purchased their DIY Adventure kit. Picked 10 flavors. I have made 6 different recipes, and not 1 is good to vape. Btw.. I am mixing 2-3 flavor recipes. I have read, watched videos, and read more.. I always shake all the VG, PG, Nic, including the flavors. I use the e-liquids recipe calculator, all my flavors, What do you think I'm doing wrong? Any advice please... Thanks

Are you asking which recipes, like Strawberry cotton candy at, . 5% ripe Strawberry . 5% cotton candy, Blueberry cotton candy same %s as above I have PG based Nicotine 25mg/ml 125ml bottle In a 10ml bottle I add 1.20ml nic/pg base 7.80ml of VG. I've let both of these recipes steep so far 2weeks today. My other mixes I've made from adapting on e-liquids recipes, and using tfa e-liquid or flavor west e-liquid, with my Nicvape e-liquids.
5% cotton candy is far too much. Even 1-2% will mute a recipe after two weeks. As a shake and vape it's still too much because it will speed up olfactory fatigue, especially when combined with a strawberry flavor, which already contain maltol/ethyl maltol(cotton candy)
Do you have any other strawberry flavors besides ripe? Ripe doesn't really work well by itself.
I'm not new, I just suck at math.
I previously have DIY-d with separate ingredients, but for convenience reasons have to get by with a premixed base for a few weeks. How do I correctly measure how much flavours/nic I have to add? I use eJuiceMeUp and a scale, if that helps.
My base is 70/30 no nic, the nic itself is 36 mg/ml but I usually mix at 0,5 mg/ml, so almost nothing. I know the ratio will be skewed and have taken that into account, I just need to calculate the right weight but cannot figure out how.
Can someone help me out?
Edit: Figured it out! Just had to list the pre-mixed base as full vg on ELR and voilà. :)
Your finished mix will end up way too heavy in PG if you do that...
I already have and the ratio is fine for me. Adding nicotine makes about 1,4% of the total mix and my flavouring rarely exceeds 10%, which brings me down to about give or take 60/40 - the ratio I usually mix at if I had VG and PG in separate bottles.
Therefore I don't know what you're talking about.
Normally, if you set a base that contains PG to straight VG, then it'd tell you to add PG even after flavors and nic. Now, if you ignore that part (or set the recipe to max VG) then you'd be fine. (Your throat must be made of rhino hide... 40+% PG makes mine hurt just thinking about it.)

Having trouble with my first batch of mixes. I'm just trying to make 30ml of Lychee juice. Currently using TFA Lychee. I'm mixing all juice at 80/20 vg/pg. I've made 3 different 30ml bottles. One at 10% flavor, another at 7% flavor, and the last at 5% flavoring. So far I've let the 3 juices steep in a dark and dry place for 5 days. All of them taste quite like chemicals. I have no clue what could be causing this. I'm thinking its either the flavoring itself, the pg/vg I'm using, or something else. I have no clue.
I've never tried TFA Lychee, but it has received very mixed reviews. It's possible this flavor simply isn't for you.
That said, using too much of a concentrate can give it a chemical, perfume or soap off note. Some are more sensitive to this than others. You might still enjoy this flavor at a lower percentage, say 1-3%, in a mix with other flavors.
I would recommend making smaller batches, like 10 ml, while experimenting.
It doesn't hurt to rule out the base by trying an unflavored batch with just PG, VG and nic.
I made a tigers blood recipe. It's supposed to be a shake n vape but even after 2 days it's terrible. The flavor percentage is super high, can anyone help me fix it?

Sub ANY other coconut at same % ( I really like Cap in this), cut the other 2 in half. Good the next day, great after a week.

Yes. What makes it different is that it has body. And after a week it has a more pronounced cream. Prob a lot higher in that 12 syllable compound that all coconuts should have that gives it creaminess. Use that Extra for making juice for the mooches who want you to "hook me up bro".
1.5% the coconut is subtle, but perfect for me, so depending on your tastes you could bump up to 2%
I'm trying to get a burnt sugar flavor for a recipe I'm making. Any suggestions? TPA Marshmallow + TPA Brown Sugar seems to kind of work, but not quite there. Tried FA Black Fire on a whim but that's definitely not what I'm going for.
INW Cream Brulee has a pretty strong burnt sugar note in it.

HS Arabic, HS Black Label, HS Turkish, HS Indian, HS Elder Captain, FA Black Fire, maybe FA Glory. Mostly FA tobaccos aren’t my cup of tea. Hangsen has some pretty decent ones, but some are kind of weak.
It was suggested for me to ask here since you guys know more about flavors. I've tried a few e liquids recently and they taste like baby powder, does anyone know what might be causing this? The most 2 recently I've tried are Dapple Whip and Kryptonite by Cosmic Fog. There have been a couple others, but it's been a while and can't remember off hand.
Can't say I've ever tasted baby powder ;) But all jokes aside, it sounds odd that you'd be getting that note from several vastly different juices. I'd say it's more likely to be an issue with your coils or something in your environment or diet. Garlic for example can really mess with your sense of smell, but since it can take several hours after a meal before you feel the effects, you might not realize why your juice suddenly tastes different.
Not a new mixer but first time playing with custards... Getting a really heavy playdoh note in a vanilla nut custard mix i whipped up. The custards are only at like 2% each (mix of cap and tfa) and its steeped for almost 4 weeks too, really not sure what to do about it. Any flavors I can add to round it out or should I just let it sit for a fee more weeks?
Looking for a way to just add thickness to a juice without introducing any off flavors like vanilla... any ideas?
It depends on the recipe but typically TFA Marshmallow and/or TFA Whipped Cream will be the most neutral way to add thickness. MTS Vape Wizard can also add thickness but might bring other undesirable changes as it has a tendency to blend all the nuance out of a mix if you use too much (a drop or two goes a long way)
Likely a stupid question, but since I'm not from the US, UK, Australia, am I shit out of luck for La lemonade? Not asking to violate any country's regulations or whatnot. Just asking confirmation.
There's no regulation, just gotta find it near you or find a vendor willing to ship internationally. Where exactly are you from though?
Philippines. All flavoring vendors from the US will not ship La lemonade (and other flavors) by air. Because of that, I assume that the shipping company I use to ship stuff from US to phil also will not allow it (following tsa regulations and all).
I assumed those restrictions were universal. If they will allow it, I heard some good reviews about chefs flavours UK. I reckon that's my only other option.

So I quit smoking about 8 months ago thanks to vaping and I can honestly say I no longer crave smokes (even when I'm drunk) which I am very grateful for. When I started vaping buying e juice was a non-issue as I was going through very little with my Joyetech eGo aio box so it was fairly inexpensive. I then moved onto an innokin itaste kroma mod kit I found on clearance at canvape.ca (I am very broke thanks to my education, but it's okay it'll be worth it once schools done 🙃) and bought an aspire cleito tank which I absolutely love, but it burns through juice faster than my bank account can keep up with. So here are my questions after a lengthy intro (thanks for sticking with me if you've made it this far):
- Is DIY e juice a cost effective way to vape? I had it in my head DIY was much more expensive but I have read here some things that suggest the opposite is true
- Is DIY more meant for drippers? I have a cleito tank and don't have any experience with any of the making your own coil stuff. Would making my own juice work with my tank?
- Through my 8 months of vaping I have found very few flavours I would consider an all day vape (bargain e juice on the other hand can have my children) so my questions is if I get into DIY am I likely to run into the situation where I spend a bunch of money trying different mixes that I'm not gonna use cause I hate? Has this happened to anyone else? Is it best to try recipes from other users?
- How easy is it to replicate flavours from other juice companies? (I'm thinking twelve monkeys matata cause it still tickles my taste buds thinking about it)
So my thank you again for making it through my rant/interrogation, I am just looking for a cheaper way to keep up with my vaping.

- DIY is super cheap compared to commercial e-juice. There's an initial cost in getting some basic supplies, such as bottles and a scale, but beyond that, we're talking cents compared to tens of dollars for the same amount. Where the cost of DIY really takes off is wanting to explore everything in the world of flavor concentrates, because it's vast, seemingly endless. If you can settle for a handful however, and be okay with not knowing what you're missing out on, then you'll see a huge saving in no time. Most of us eventually fail to resist that temptation.
- You can DIY anything you can purchase and get a much better result.
- This is why DIY can become costly. It takes a fair bit of exploring to find your own preference, concentrates and recipes that you'd want to vape all day long. Each mix is super cheap, but getting all those different concentrates is expensive. This is why you indeed should pick a couple of popular recipes and order those concentrates, as opposed to just picking what sounds good.
- Hard, very hard. You can get fairly close with some clones or personal effort, but you'll pretty much never see an exact replica.
I am a much less picky vaper than some of my other friends, I live in London, ON and there's a b&m by my house where the guy does all the house flavours himself and doesn't add any sweeteners, those flavours have been my favourite so far in my vaping experience. He gave me a creamy custard, grape, pommegranate and a sour apple flavour and I loved all of them. Would it maybe be worth while to see what flavour concentrates he uses, maybe shoot him an email?
Can't hurt :) You could also have a look at ATF and search specifically for those profiles, to get an idea what kind of ingredients you'd be using.
So I'm new to diy and I've made just a couple of different flavors and when I use the calculator it tells me to put X amount of nic to get my desired 3mg nic strength but when I Vape it it it's way stronger than its supposed to be. I've tried 3 different calculaters and they all tell me the same..
Do you say it’s too strong because of taste or because it’s making you feel weird? If you could give the numbers that would be helpful, but my guess is that 3 different calculators are getting the math right. If it’s a matter of tasting harsh, then it could just be your nic is a bit oxidized. Where’s the nic from? How old is it? How has it been stored? Did you shake the hell out of it before using? Could possibly be hot spots in the nic from not being shaken enough before use, especially if you got VG nic. I’ve never had an issue with the hot spots, but I’ve had bad nic before and the harshness of cheap, oxidized nic can make it seem stronger than 3 mg.
So it's to harsh I'm trying to get a 3 but turning out to be a 6+.. The calculator is telling me to mix in 3.75ml of nic... Nic is nice and clear no discoloration so I doubt it's oxidized. The nic is from liquid barn. I believe it's new I literally just bought it online. I store it in my fridge. I shook the hell out of it let it sit and shook some more about 4 cycles of doing that. I have pg nic
I have the same effect, I mix at 1.5mg nic for that reason. Whenever I DIY the nic seems a little stronger, no matter the brand of nic I use.
I was having that exact problem with Carolina nic last year and gave up because of it. Decided to try again this year and went with Vapers Tek and the problem is gone. Someone told me a while back that some people are sensitive to different brands of nic, for whatever reason. But I'm not having any problems now. It would also explain why 90% of commercial juice is super harsh to me, only a handful of vendors make stuff I can even vape.
Is Flavorah same as Flavah? The second one is being sold in my home country, but it's also noted as from China.
Not entirely sure if this a beginner mixer question but I didn't see a better place for it. How is Liquid Amber FA used to create a "jam" out of fruits? I've heard a little bit of this here and there and I'd like to create a strawberry jam. I was planning on using 2% Strawberry Ripe, 2% CAP Sweet Strawberry, .75% Cap Sweet Raspberry, and some liquid amber, what amount of Liquid Amber should I use?
To me, FA Liquid Amber gives a bit of a tart, baked effect and carries the pungency of something that may have been fermented. It works great at 0.5-1% to accent fruits, although I find it a better pairing for things like apple, pear, or grape.
However, if you're wanting to impart "jamminess" to your above fruit mix, 0.5% FLV Boysenberry is going to take it to the next level. TFA Blackberry, FA Blackcurrant, or INW Plum would also serve as great accents for a wetter, jammier note, but be careful with TFA Blackberry.
Why would tfa strawberry ripe, tfa dragonfruit and cap sweet strawberry all taste exactly the same. It tastes like green grass.
I haven't tried the cap yet but the other two don't taste anything alike to me, I have noticed that many of the fruits I've tried do have a grassyness to them for the first few days though. What percentage are you trying them at?
Between 1% and 6% and everything in between. Going to try a longer steep. I've read they are good SNV. Maybe that's not the case for me
Everyone has different taste (sense of smell), could just be something about them that you pick up on more than others. Also have you had issues tasting any strawberry? Strawberry is a flavor a lot of people have trouble with, I can taste it but after I vape a few mls of it I loose it.

Kind of what I get from TFA Strawberry Ripe. Did you re-wick and cleanse your palette?
CAP Sweet Strawberry and TFA Dragonfruit should taste quite a bit different, as well as provide different texture/mouth feel. These flavors are all quite different by themselves.
So I just made my first 50/50 vg/pg mix with nicotine. and comparing it's viscosity to an old ejuice that states it is 50/50, my formulation seems thicker.

The ejuice is dated nov 2016, so I guess, does VG become thinner over time?
