Weekly 'Suggest a Recipe for my Flavors' Thread - Week of November 10, 2017
submitted almost 8 years ago by AutoModerator

Got a bunch of flavors but not sure how to make them work together? Post your list here, and our team of semi-professional mixologists will make suggestions for you! If you are impatient and want to do this on your own, here are a couple of good links:

  • /u/daath has a nice website that has this functionality, but you will need to register to make it work. It is not very intuitive but if you work with it you can input your flavors and get a list of recipes that you can make. IMO this is the better site if you have the patience to make it work for you. Edit2: to get this to work, first set up an account. Then add your flavors to the stash (under my page / my flavor stash). hit save. Then go back to the front page and click the link next to the search field, "Search by flavor stash". You can select a couple of your flavors and recipes that have those will pop up.
  • This site has a nice big search button with just what you're looking for.

Happy Mixing!

Looking for a good peaches and cream or some sort of peach desert. The obvious one is just peach + Bavarian cream but I feel like there's gotta be better ones out there.

I'm also big on key lime pie. I do 6% key lime 3% Graham cracker. Anyone know how to spice it up a bit?

TFA:

Cream cheese icing

Fruit circles

Crunch fruit cereal

Grape soda

Deep fried pastry dough

Apple pie

Sweetener

Silly rabbit cereal

Fruity flakes

Cake batter

Cookies and cream

Blueberry smoothie

DX juicy peach

Grape candy

Cotton candy

Blueberry candy

Berry cereal

Dairy milk

Super sweet

Strawberry ripe

Bavarian cream

Graham cracker

Key lime pie

Greek yogurt

Tiramisu

Chai tea II

Banana nut bread

Pumpkin spice

Granny Smith

Cinammon churro

Cheesecake Graham crust

Cheesecake

Strawberry lemonade

Bubblegum

LB:

All of them. I have them all.

Ever used vienna cream with a fruit blend?

I know you don't have but you should try it in contrast to bavarian cream or in conjunction.

> Looking for a good peaches and cream or some sort of peach desert.

You have TFA DX Juicy Peach and LB Peach. You need some better peaches.

Try 3% Cheesecake Graham Crust instead of Graham Cracker with your Key Lime.

Try 7% Banana Nut Bread + 2% Cheesecake Graham Crust + 2% Bavarian Cream

What peachs would you reccomend for a more candy like peach? I know FA White Peach is like peach rings but I'm thinking more jolly rancher or sucker nature.

Candy-like? Probably TFA Juicy Peach, I guess. TBH I've been too focused on realistic fruit peaches to put much thought into candy peaches. INW Peach also gets candy like at higher (like 3%) even though it's more realistic than most at a lower concentration (like 1%), but that's also more peach rings than jolly rancher or sucker. I think you're going to be looking at some kind of candy flavor like FW Hard Candy and some sweetener along with peach to pull that off.

Try 2.5% FW Hard Candy + 0.75% CAP Lemon Lime + 1% TFA Sweetener or 0.5% FW Sweetener or 0.25% CAP Super Sweet + 4% TFA Juicy Peach

It's not what you're asking for but have you tried TFA banana nut bread as a standalone at about 8-10%? I've heard that it's amazing by itself but I've not bought any yet for fear of it being terrible.

1 points

by INCREDIBLYHIGHTURTLEalmost 8 years ago

I personally thought it was terrible but I only steeped it for 3 days.

How disappointing. It would probably be better after a few weeks but still

TFA Strawberry Ripe

TFA Strawberry

TFA Dragonfruit

TFA Waffle (belgian)

TFA Cheesecake (graham crust)

TFA Pear

TFA Koolada

CAP New York Cheesecake

CAP Blackberry

FA Strawberry

FA Vienna Cream

FA Meringue

LA Watermelon (colorless)

FW Dragonfruit

(unsure of brand) Unicorn Puke (sherbet flavor)

I'm one of the people who can't taste strawberry unfortunately. I've used strawberry dragonfruit for a long time and I'm utterly burnt out, also made waffles and ice cream, and watermelon dragonfruit, all of which I'm not crazy about. I have a few mixes that I've tried but I need fresh eyes on my list. Anything at all helps!

Have you tried just a plain old cheesecake?

6% CAP NY Cheesecake, 3% TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust, 1.5% FA Vienna Cream, 1% FA Meringue, steep for two weeks.

I'm gonna go with the TFA Pear... how much of it would you mix in a 70-30 VG-PG solution? I'm trying to buy a bulk amount and just have a lot of it sitting around for cheap. Hopefully its one of the better flavors out there so I don't just buy a tub of crap LOL. Thanks my friend

Sour raspberry chiller: 2-4% cap raspberry 0.5% fw sour Menthol to taste

Alternatively use any bright tasting fruit with sour and menthol.

P.s. friendly advice in the future use the acronyms TFA, CAP, FW, etc instead of spelling it all out. It makes it easier to read in a long list like yours.

Not really? But maybe try something like 5% Vanilla Swirl, 0.25% Toasted Marshmallow, 0.1% Koolada. You might need to make a dilution to use Koolada that low but you really have to be careful mixing it with creamy things or it tastes like a cold paper cup.

Thanks for the effort anyway! I'll just wait until next week when hopefully will get bavarian cream and cheesecake graham crust. A few months back you suggested a bunch of fruit flavors for me (specifically stuff that'd mix well as a single flavor) and I'll finally be getting them soon. I can't wait, although not everything I wanted was in stock such as FA Forest Mix/FA Guava.

I'm excited to try them all single flavor but if you see anything I could mix up that's tasty please recommend!

CAP Sweet Lychee

CAP Sweet Strawberry RF

CAP Sweet Tangerine

CAP Sweet Mango

CAP Harvest Berry

CAP Pink Lemonade

CAP Concord Grape

FA Pear

FA Fuji Apple

TFA Sweetener

TFA Dragonfruit

TFA Philippine Mango

TFA Grape Soda

TFA Bavarian Cream

TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust

Sure, try a Sweet Lychee Lemonade: 3% CAP Sweet Lychee, 4.5% CAP Pink Lemonade, 1% TFA Sweetener, 0.5% FA Pear.

Looking for a simple berry menthol recipe similar to this for a friend. Doesn't need to be perfect, just a similar profile

Berry Flavors I have on hand: FA Bilberry CAP Blackberry FA Blackberry FA Black Currant FA Forrest Mix CAP Harvest Berry TPA Strawberry/Strawberry Ripe JF Sweet Strawberry JF Forest Mix INW Raspberry INW Shisha Strawberry

Mint/Menthols: INW Eucalyptus w/Mint FW Extreme Ice Koolada CAP Menthol INW Mint

Other: JF + FA Fuji FLV Honey Bee (Description says "drizzle of honey" but most likely that's b.s.) TPA Sweetner

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
