Got my nicotine river order today and mixed up my first couple of batches of juice!
submitted almost 8 years ago by DustyChonChon

Feels good to officially be a mixer now. It was a struggle at first tho. Had to dump 60mls of juice because I added the same flavoring twice because I was getting ahead of myself. Also accidentally doubled up the pg in one thinking I had the vg in my hand because tge bottles are identical lol. I think I can transfer that one to a bigger bottle and add a little more vg tho right? How could I salvage that bottle? I caught myself mid pg pour so it wasnt the whole pg percentage in there again.

Anyway I thought I'd like to share this because no one I know really vapes. it was a comedy of errors first mix for sure tho lol.

Congrats! You could've just made a bigger batch doubling up is pretty easy to do, for the pg you probably would've been better off to keep going until you doubled it. If you know how much you poured you should still be able to figure it out with a little math. Just make a batch big enough to cover whatever you have extra and subtract what you already have in the mix.

Congrats! DIY is definitely a fun and satisfying adventure. I have ADHD and made more than a few mixing mistakes when i started. When I was interrupted or got distracted I doubled up or skipped flavors or nicotine. I also spilled a bunch of VG because I didn't replace the cap, so I now have a set routine.

Everything a mix requires goes on my right, in the same exact order every time. (VG, nicotine, flavors, and PG.) When I finish a component, I cap it and immediately place it on my left. I also get a label ready before I mix and stick it on right away, because of those four unlabeled mystery flavor tests that happened on my second day mixing...of course two were apple concentrates and two were peach and I had no idea how to distinguish the similar flavors.

Mine goes right to left lol. I got some twist top bottles off Amazon that I'm really digging. I like that I can open them just a little and have more control of the flow.

I think adding PG first and flavours second is better, as the PG carries the flavour through your mix. I usually give it a few swirls before adding the nic/PG.

Same, actually. I also did an eclipse clone, but using this recipe. Did an orange creamsicle as well. Plan to shake up a sour apple and possibly some vanilla yogurt later.

I've been mixing for a couple of months now and last week I was trying to make a Max vg just to test a new recipe and I grabbed the pg instead. I was so confused when I Vaped it. Took me a minute to realize what I did.

I've done this, also have pretty "severe" ADHD and have to transfer from right to left or I forget that I've already put one in.

That's the reason I always add in my nic to all my bottles first. I'd rather have double the flavor than double nic any day. As far as the pg goes, it's not a huge deal. You can probably just mix a larger size bottle and omit the pg to balance it out. Congrats on your first diy mixes!
