Mixing from a different perspective/Flavors that you can create in vaping that arent necessarily possible IRL?
submitted almost 8 years ago by br4d24

So it seems like most mixers strive to make recipes as authentic as possible to a certain flavor profile. But for some reason I started wondering if there are any flavor profiles created in vaping, that arent really available or possible in real life. If there are flavor profiles that cant be re-created in vaping, youd think there are flavors in vaping that cant be authentically reproduced IRL right? I cant recall any juices that achieve this but kind of wanted to discuss and see if anything like that actually exists?

Have any of you made a unique flavor profile only found in vaping? Is it even possible to create a recipe like that? Maybe i just ate too many special brownies tonight...

Burnt Cotton, I've never eaten anything IRL that tastes quite like it.

haha nice, that is definitely something that most vapers get the pleasure of tasting. Nothing like the taste of burning cotton and coil gunk.

Grack Juice by /u/philosaphucker

/u/_Bombies 'Nana Cream(and by extension, /u/fizzmustard and my separate homages to 'Nana Cream)

Obsidian by /u/enyawreklaw

The Rickoning and The Pink by Shyndo

Placid by /u/adirondackvapor

All of these are flavors that I've only ever found in vaping.

Nice little list there! Gotta mix some of those up soon, really want to see if i like florals at all. I heard someone has a good remix of placid, i think its called lake placid - cant remember who created it though.

Florals are something you dont see too often in food or beverages, they seem to work well in vaping if you are into that type of flavoring though. Doesnt look like there is any RY4 tobaccos irl either.

Remembering back to my pipe smoking days, I think Borkum Riff had a blend that came pretty close to RY4 (can't remember the name of it, though). Flavor combos like that can only be found in pipe tobaccos. =)

Ah interesting, I did a quick Google search and only found vape related products. A real ry4 pipe tobacco sounds tasty, haha kind of miss pipe tobacco - used to enjoy it in a herb vaporizer and it was actually really good.

Kopel and Ckemist are the two who made "Lake Placid," you can find it on ELR pretty easily with a search.

Haha thanks, was too lazy to use my broken ass phone to find the link :P but here it is for those interested in trying a unique and highly regarded recipe. http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/776443/Kopel%20%26amp;%20Ckemist%20Remix:%20Lake%20Placid

I️ work at a vape shop and we have a pretty good RY4 Tobacco flavor! It’s a house juice but people who like tobacco flavors love it.

Nice! I kind of regret never getting into tobaccos in the 5 years I've been vaping. But that's changing soon, have the ingredients to make Wayne's ry4 recipe!

This isn't super relevant to your question, but I guess it sort of is?

Inawera Cactus is a very, very interesting concentrate. In low concentrations, it adds an interesting "round" mouthfeel that I've fallen in love with. It's extremely concentrated; it's best at around 1% if you want it to be fairly forward in the mix, so mixing it at 0.25-0.5% gives that mouthfeel without adding too much cactus flavour. It's similar to TFA Lychee in that respect. It'd be righteous in a Swedish Berries ejuice, in my opinion!

I love cactus, at any percentage. I've gone as high as 5% and still loved it.

Lemon/citrus and creams/milks. IRL they'll curdle (unless you're some master wizard of cooking) but in a vape they taste quite nice together.

Lemon meringue pie?

Also lemon pudding

No dairy in it. The lemon curd is based on eggs, sugar, butter, lemon juice and cornstarch typically

Butter is dairy though.

So this doesn't actually exist except in my hallucinations. Good to know.

If you're into cocktails at all, look up clarified milk punch. It's made by curdling milk with citrus, adding booze and flavouring. It's fucking delicious.

I can post recipes if anyone's interested.

Maybe not impossible but we add strawberry to more things than I ever see at the grocery store

I thought I had until this season of Great British Bake Off. I thought I was woke as fuck making a lavender lemon flavor. Turns out I'm just another bumbly fuck making e-liquid. Disappointing.
