OoO Fried Chicken
submitted almost 8 years ago by chewymidgetThe Colonel

Setup: Velocity RDA; Clapton .4Ω; cotton wicks; 90 watts; Temp Limit - 400F; 4% Nicotine, Age:S&V

Testing: One on One 1% Fried Chicken 70/30 VG/PG

> One on One Description: Crisp juicy & finger lickin good!

Flavor description: Now you maybe wondering why the hell am i reviewing another fried chicken flavor? Well we can all thank /u/ID10-T for blackmailing me into this.

Right off the first pull I get a burnt flavor that slightly resembles a breading flavor, but I have to stretch my imagination out quite a bit. It's rather quite disgusting to be honest. This doesn't remind me of fried chicken at all. It tastes like the burning underlings of the stuff on the bottom of your shoe. I'm not getting any bready notes at all. There is a slight basil flavor i'm getting from this but it's more of a rubbed the basil leaves in dirt and ate it kind of flavor. I'm not getting any chicken flavor from this at all. I'm not sure who made this and said "yeah, that's fried chicken" but they were wrong. The only thing I'm really getting from this is the flavor of not changing your wick for a month and vaping on it. I'm not sure how many more words I need to type out to tell you that this flavor is what getting disowned by your parents feels like. RF Fried Chicken was funny to vape; this is some sort of cruel joke that you wouldn't even let your worst enemy vape this trash.

Off Flavors: Everything about this? The burnt flavor this gives off the so off putting that this is useless for vaping.

Throat Hit: All things considered this a smooth disgusting vape.

Uses / Why?: My advice for pairings would be not to use this at all. As much as I didn't like RF Fried Chicken they did this flavor a hell of a lot better than this abortion of a flavor did. RF's version had relatable flavors that you could say were fried chicken at least. I would personally pull out $5.99 and throw it in the trash and burn it. Then you'll have a close aroma to OoO Fried Chicken.

Second Opinions: I was only able to find one review for this flavor and they made biscuits with them. Which is probably a better idea.

> This flavor was delicious with the home baked biscuits I made for our Sunday family brunch. I made over 3 dozen that were gone by the end of the meal.

He won't be happy until we're all dead. He's a shit-starter, that one.

I hope you're happy with your new flair! You earned it, I guess. I'm going to have to try this at 0.25% and see if maybe you just used way too much.

Lol thanks!

The flavor didn't seem that strong at 1% more so that it just tastes nasty in general.

Well, now you can't say you didn't warn me.

I've got the whole OoO savory collection here thanks to a "generous" "friend" but haven't forced myself to try them yet. Probably won't ever try a few of them. The Teriyaki flavor appears to be just straight up Kikkoman.

OoO really makes me scratch my head. They have sooooo many flavors that aren't even remotely close to what they're supposed to be. Like not even a resemblance. Yet they seem to stay in business and keep producing all these god awful concentrates. They have a couple decent ones but even those are overshadowed by similar offerings from other flavors companies. Maybe milky undertones is what keeps them in business

Considering the price of their flavors, at 5.99/10ml, it's also baffling to me they continue to sell well enough to stay in business.

They need to hire new flavor engineers. It's silly to brag you have over 400 flavors if the vast majority of them suck.

OoO doesn't actually make thier own flavors... They contract with a flavor house in Southern California. I'm pretty sure it's Gold Coast.

Agreed...idk who sat there and said "Yeah, this is definitely pistachio ice cream...start production immediately! We need to get this out in the world!"

Must be the same guy who thought Golden Greats was anything even remotely close to Golden Grahams. That shit smells and tastes like a banana infused malt liquor piss

That guy needs a new job..like deciding what cleaner to use in the bathrooms. Maybe someone just played a trick on OoO, switched out a bunch of flavor molecules with banana cuz you basically just described Pistachio Ice Cream.

I think the real question here is, if RF Fried Chicken is better or worse. Better test them at the same time to be sure!

I'm afraid my sense of smell might be too fried by this point.

Well, obviously your sense of self-preservation left you at some point prior...

I can't argue with that.

I just burnt my 5.99 in the trash can, the taste may be close but that throat hit was hash AF! LMAO

by juthincalmost 8 years ago

You were supposed to use a metal trashcan, not a plastic one. The drug residue on the bills should've reduced the throat hit.

you'd have a better chance of hitting that note by dipping some fried chicken in pg.
