Been 98% DIY for the last two years and I've recently become somewhat bored with my mixes. I try some of the great recipes you guys have shared but I think its more of a "I can cook but sometimes its fun to eat out" situation. I've revisited some of my old favorites before DIY and they aren't as great anymore. Also tried some BlueDotVapor's Milk of Poppy after seeing this sub compliment them during /u/ID10-T clone challenge where the target was Titan by BlueDotVapors. I also have a small order from B-X Vapor on the way.
Anyway, what are some juices you still occasionally purchase? Why?
Lenola cream from kite and cloud. I don't think I'll ever be able to clone it
You won’t. I about fell over when we got the recipes to start co-packing for them.
- Shisha Strawberry (INW) 2%
- Banana Cream (TFA) 3%
- Apple Pie (FA) 1%
- Bavarian Cream (TFA) 1%
- Cheesecake Graham Crust (TFA) 1.5%
- Coconut (FA) 1%
- Shisha Vanilla (INW) 0.5%
- Vanilla Custard (FLV) 2%
This is what I mix when I need to scratch that Lenola itch. I haven't had the original in a long time so I'm not sure how close it really is, but it does the job for me.
Bigglesworth Labs is having a sale this month on all their flavors. $1 30ml bottles up to two of each flavor for a total of 12 30ml's.
I bought it and it's the first time in two and a half years I've bought juice from someone else or even tried what is popular out there. It's so cheap I figured what the hell.
Have you tried /u/ID10-T's Titanic clone yet? I personally liked it more than the original Titan. They sent out samples for free back when they did that clone challenge and I got one. Titanic is still in my rotation; I love the profile a little too much for some reason.
Hey Chewy, I'm glad you're enjoying that!

Have you played with the percentages at all? I posted that one up the way it is because I thought it was as close as I could get to the original, but if you read the notes, I actually preferred the taste of an earlier version with 3% Apricot, 1.5% Juicy Peach, and 0.75% Sweet Tangerine with the 4% Graham Cracker and 2% Gingerbread instead of 4/2/1 of those. You might also like it better that way.
I have only mixed it at what you originally released it at. I was thinking on my next bottle to try it the way you prefered it. What do you think about kicking up the Gingerbread and Graham Cracker by 1%? Here's what I was thinking.
Apricot - 3%
Juicy Peach - 1.5%
Sweet Tangerine - .75%
Graham Cracker - 5%
Ginger Bread - 3%
Or does your preferred version have those two flavors come out a little more with less of the fruits in the mix?
They come out more because of the reduced fruits and I like that.
I'm concerned what you're thinking of doing there might come out too dry and spicy. Maybe if you just raised the Gingerbread to 2.5% instead of 3% with the 5% Gingerbread? I know, only half a percent of one Capella ingredient shouldn't be much difference, but I like the idea that it would maintain the same bakery to bakery ratio in addition to maybe not pushing the Gingerbread too hard. Wouldn't want it to push back on you.
I have not but I'll order some CAP Gingerbread on my next flavor order and mix it up. In my opinion, Titan was good. It was different compared to the stuff I'm used to it but I wasn't blown away by it. Milk of the Poppy was the hidden gem I got from that thread.
Do you prefer Titanic or the original?
Titanic for sure. The original I couldn't taste the fruit in it at all and in titanic they are bright and vibrant.
Have you received any of the Bigglesworth stuff yet? I just placed an order for try them.
That's a no. There is a 7-12 day lead time on all their orders this month apparently from all the orders they're getting in. Tomorrow is day 12 for me so I might see it ship Monday.
I got my order in really early and already received mine but Jay says the team bottling and shipping have never had this kind of back log and they're working their asses off right now. For this kind of deal it's definitely worth waiting an extra few days I'd say.
I got mine yesterday and have been chugging Amalfi since I tore the package open!
None at the moment, but I'll run out of Milk of the Poppy before I succeed in cloning it and then I'll most likely buy some more. Although the subject of the clone challenge was Titan I ordered some Milk of the Poppy same time because people were talking it up and Blue Dot offered such a great deal and was so magnanimous about the whole clone challenge thing.
I did the same. I must've ordered at least 240mls of Milk of the Poppy before become a little burnt out on it. Or maybe because it was made almost a year ago its kinda running low on flavor but it's not as amazing to me as it once once. Would still love to know what it consists of.
SB: Thanks for all the effort you put in around here man. You have def shared a lot of good information on flavorings and their uses. Also, your Pina Colada recipe is still an occasional favorite of mine.
You're welcome! I'm glad you're occasionally enjoying the Pina Colada. Have you tried the Mango Colada? I like that one even more.
I still haven't really buckled down on Milk of the Poppy because it's not as much fun to try to copy as it is to just enjoy. I believe that custard in there is CAP Vanilla Custard V2 and that means about month steep between versions, which is just a huge PITA.
I also think it's got CAP Sweet Strawberry, CAP Dragonfruit, and CAP Sweet Tangerine in there.
And also some other fifth thing that I can't put my finger on. Maybe something I've never tried before since it's so hard to pin down, but maybe something super familiar that's just interacting with the other things in an unexpected way. Because the other CAP ingredients all seem to fit, I'm trying those first, but it's almost like wild guessing at this point. Fig, Kiwi, Sweet Mango, Juicy Peach, Apricot, Bubblegum? IDK.
I was a Blue Dot fiend for almost a year before I started DiY, Mister-E, Milk of the Poppy and Dots Custard were regular orders, with occasional rounds of Titan or Moo Fields. I've been working on my own clone of Dots Custard, and I think I've got it. Need to let it completely steep before I can claim victory for sure, but there's a real good chance I'll be putting up "Doc's Custard" in the November recipes thread.
Ripe Vapes VCT (Vanilla Custard Tobacco) Private Reserve. I buy a 30ml about twice a year. To me it's like when you go to the liquor store and the thought crosses your mind, "I'm going to get that fancy single malt I like".
For some reason, everytime I see Golden Ticket by MET4 I have to buy it. It's an overly sweetened, extremely linear, chocolate milk, that I can't get enough of and have never been able to clone because of the missing chocolate ingredient. I really hate that I love it so much. Also, Charlie Nobles Pistachio RY4 is always a must buy when I see it in a shop. That's about it.
Oasis by Aqua. And the other flavors they make
It's a blend of cantaloupe, peach, and papaya flavors.
Its absolutely spectacular and I never ever get vape tongue vaping it.
I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't
LOVE Oasis, I just started making my own flavours... might have to attempt to clone this down the line
Creme De La Creme.
Holy shit, so good.
I'm also super fond of Morning Manifesto by Fluffy Clouds. More easily cloneable, but goddamn is it good.
I've heard about that one before. Is it from Halocaust or Yeti? I think it's yeti? That one and the PB Custard from Yeti used to be my adv before diy. I tried it again about six months ago and it was so sweet I couldn't vape it.
Whenever Adirondack has a sale I usually buy a fair amount of Cayuga. Seems like every time I get close to cloning it something goes wrong and then I try the real juice and it's not even close. There's a couple B-X juices I like I haven't bothered trying to clone.
I like B-X enough that I wouldn't bother trying to clone Watermelon Crack. I just buy it when it's on sale.
Anything B-X. Love the juice, love the company, so I like to support them when I can. I really respect that they've got a small but diverse line that isn't just the same old stuff everybody does. Then they're active in the community and GWFF is just that juice that's so good I save it only for special occasions so I don't get burnt out.
Tripoli from Charlie Noble and Dolomite from Tally Ho. Tripoli I find amazing (my top 3 of all time) but maybe if I tell everyone it's horrible they'll discontinue it and release the recipe. Dolomite is a strawberry custard like I've never tasted before and I haven't figured out what strawberry they are using, I have so many strawberry flavorings trying to find "The One" but none are "The One". :/
I haven't ordered anything in several years BUT I did cave on that Bigglesworth sale! I wanted to see store-bought vs DIY (after a few years of only DIY) PLUS I wanted to check out the difference between the old recipe version of "Channer/Cholar" to the retail versions Prairie/Snowdrift :)
I ordered on the 1st, got a tracking number on the 7th, it actually shipped on the 11th and it should be waiting in my mailbox when I get home.
Szvapor's Cerious and Mean frean. No clue what brands he is using. Tried cloning, didn't even come close.
What's Mean Frean?
Bombies seven seas. Every clone recipe including my own is so wildly off from the original plus it’s nice vaping something the way it was originally intended
I was once hooked on that too. I started vaping a modified recipe of the all TFA Clone floating around out there and it does it for me. A friend bought me a 30ml of Seven Seas from Bombies a few months ago and I found that I liked (or got used to) my 'clone' better.
Big name, I'll still pick up the occasional bottle of naked unicorn...
smaller fry, i hit up vape moar and dollar ejuice club...vape moar cos they have some banging juices at decent price, $20 for a sampler of almost the whole line, so...150ml for $20...no brainer. Dollar ejuice cos...their whole line is dirt cheap at sampler size, and delicious. I mean, $5 for 25 ml of different flavors...
I've actually purchased no premium juices since I started DIY ~2 years ago.
If I absolutely had to buy something, it would probably be something from ITC Vapes. Their Spoonlicker and Puddin #9 were amazing. Black and Blue Cheese was awesome too.
Edit a word
You should buy both of them if you can and see if you still like either. I tried to do that with my early favorites and I just don't get that "wow" feeling anymore. DIY has ruined a lot of "complex" juices for me once you can identify the flavoring.
I definitely know what you're saying. I have a couple friends who throw me their premium priced juice once in a while and most of it just seems wretched compared to DIYs.
Agreed. Recently ran out of VG so went to the dreaded b&m . They have a decent selection and I asked for there best sellers. I told him creamy & fruity. He gives me rouge wake & bake. It is literally TFA straw ripe and INA biscuit. Now biscuit makes me gag in high percentages so I knew it was this. I paid fricken $16 for a 30ml of straw ripe, biscuit and some sweetner. When I got home I added another 2% of straw ripe so it was vapeable. Never again, never again .
Alice in Vapelands April Moon. I’ve tried bilberry, I’ve tried blueberry extra, I’ve tried blackberry. I can’t find that flavor and would kill to have a solid clone of it.
