Wreka/reker Malaysian concentrates - stumbled on some hidden gems
submitted almost 8 years ago by ShittyStrawman

Decided to order some new concentrates to play around with, I've been on a fruit kick for a while and wanted to try something a bit different.

Noticed a brand called "wrecka" listed on chefs flavours. Since it was so far down the list and near to some one-shot brands, I assumed they were just one shots, but it turns out they are Malaysian concentrates.

Received sparkling apple, sparkling grape and sexy mango - these have turned out to be excellent flavours!

The "sexy mango" is 100% the mango used in NASTY juice "fat boy" (not my favourite mango TBH, but I know it's popular, strangely it doesn't smell like fat boy undiluted, but in a test mix it tastes spot on)

Although the site states the name is "Wrecka", the labels actually say "reker", so a bit confusing but who knows.

Has anyone else played around with these?

They are re-bottled Reka concentrates.

Yep, the problem I have with them is that they separate at VG levels above 50/50. They seem to go through multiple stages while steeping at higher VG levels. First clear, then cloudy, then finally some separation with odd globules of flavoring appearing. Shaking them brings them back to a cloudy state with eventually re-separation again after a few days.

Good info to know... Maybe these concentrates were not initially developed with vaping in mind?

They are developed for vaping, it seems as one shot concentrates. The ones I have tried have sweetener and cooling agent already added. They just don't seem to be developed for anything higher than 50/50.

On a side note, I have no idea what is in their sweetener but it turns my cotton a purplish red color. There is something else besides sucralose and/or ethyl maltol in there for sure. I have a sample of their sweetener and if anyone else has experienced that, it is definitely the sweetener.

Jorakae - where are you getting yours from? I'm not getting any separation just yet (70/30 VG/PG), and there's certainly no sweetener or cooling agent in the single flavour mixes I'm doing, strange.

Hey brother, just wanted to know if you managed to test these flavors out? Is the mango similar to nasty juice?

I played With mango and grapes they both were very intense flavors but I cannot compared with nasty since I never tried it. I have all my stuff in boxes since I just got a new office so in a very distant future my clean room will be ready for mixing but for now it’s dust everywhere form the builders

Do the Sparkling Grape/Apple actually sparkle when vaped?

If the dick-fuck that downvoted me thinks that I actually mean that the vapor looks like it has sparkles, you're a dumbshit. I mean "does it have a carbonated effect".

I'm not getting a "carbonated" sensation, but the are nice fruit flavours regardless, probably reminiscent of "soda" flavours

Thanks for the info. That carbonated feeling is something mixers have been searching for... Was hoping Wrecka somehow nailed it... The search continues

Their Flavor listings at ELR are under the acronym (REK).
