I've been vaping close to 5 years now, I had a friend a year ago that was helping me make juice, telling me all the cost effective ways and how much money it saved him in the end. Sadly, he died in a motorcycle accident and I was never able to get his recipe. It was a simple spearmint recipe. I stick to menthol and spearmint flavor juices solely because I chain vape. Vape tongue has not been an issue for me and my coils last longer because of it. I am wanting to get into making my own juice for myself and my wife. I watched my friend make me a 120ml bottle of juice and asked him the approximate cost of everything in comparison to buying the same juice in a store. He guessed it was around $2.00 compared to the $65 i was paying in store. Since I am working less and bringing in less money, I am wanting to cut down on my spending in the long run. I have a general idea of how to make the juice but I also saw my friend had designed a measurement program that allowed him to alter recipes on the fly. I was wondering if there was anyone willing to help and guide me through the process of buying my first set of supplies, how to properly mix and recipe brainstorming.
I get my PG and VG off of Amazon. My nicotine is Carolina Extracts. Bull City Flavors is seriously the best for flavors, and their staff is great. Be sure to buy a scale that measure as low as .01 grams. Other than that, the sidebar on this thread has all the info you cpuld ever need. I seriously recommend picking out a few higjly rated recipes and getting the ingredients for those, so you have some juice to vape while you're experimenting on your own creations.
The flacor reviews have saved me alot of time and heart ache. Be wary of the recipes on E-Liquid Calculator. Most of them are garbage, but the site itself is good for organizing your recipes and as a calculator.
Sure. I get my vg, pg, and flavors from bull city and my nicotine from nude nicotine. NN has slow shipping/processing but their quality has been top notch in my experience.
With menthol it doesn't take much. You might also enjoy a coolada concentrate as it is in the same vein as menthol and spearmint.
Have any questions fire away, I'll be around.

Do note that if the reasoning behind this is to be healthier, menthol is actually worse for your lungs than fruits for example. A lot worse.

The full video is unavailable but here's a summary, stating the same findings without the details.
I was looking for something more along the lines of this. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3628651/ Menthol is used in inhaled legit medicines, and actually improves lung functions in certain situations like in asthma and by acting as an expectorant. Of course at high concentration it can be a lung irritant.
I got all my shit from wizardvapes or something idk google ‘wizard vapes’ it should pop up(please do your research people have had problems with fraud charges from this site but it was the only one I found with everything i needed). Essentially what you need is syringes & needles (for measuring), vg & pg (for base juice), flavoring (whatever u want look up recipes before buying everything), & nicotine (I use 48mg in 100% vg because I like higher vg but if you go below 60/40 in vg then you’ll be fine with pg nicotine (makes it easier to work with because it’s not as thick). Then use a website to calculate how many mL of each ingredient you need/%. You’ll see how easy it is after making your first juice. It was overwhelming af at first but it’s really easy.
